@@Blayze1017-- I beg your pardon! I haven't really followed the gridiron since I played deadend for the Miskatonic Cthulhus...mind you, I can see how a blood-thirsty name like "Crimson Tide" could seize one by the jugular! Cheers Warren, formerly #666!
Ive forgotten myself as of late. Im back to do things i love and that includes your amazing readings. Thank you so much for being a boulder in turbulence.
I can't even tell you how many times I've spun this already. I listen to it while I work on my house, I fall asleep to it, I pick a chapter or two at random when IDK what else to listen to. I love your work.
Wonderful, another five hours of good reads. So glade I have tomorrow off. The pup will be so happy to share in the popcorn as we cuddle up for the listening. Thank you, cheers
I'd like to cast a vote for more of this, less cthulu. I know that I'm in the minority about this, but just my opinion. Your narrative talents are epic, so I will continue to wait for more ghosts and vampires. ❤❤❤
I have started listening to this amazing collection of occult stories. They are quite intriguing and suspenseful. Your narration was excellent. Thank you 🤗🌟♥️😻
I enjoyed The Ghost Writer. It reminded me of when I was gifted with an old Smith Corona (I was 14 at the time). Unfortunately, it never spontaneously typed by itself, but then I never killed a critic of my writing, so things worked out in the end. Thanks, Ian!
Warren’s mind raced as The Dread and his goons marched him to the Elephant & Castle station. He tried to look cool - easy enough in the pissing London downpour - but not too cool. The fortune he told them about wasn’t entirely a lie. But there wasn’t much of a chance of it being true either. If he couldn’t find it he’d be the one buried down there. Probably in multiple pieces. Though if he didn't slip away he could find the Crown Jewels down there and his chances were still dicey at best. 20 minutes away eight grim, fit men assembled in a nondescript warehouse. A hearse pulled on to the loading dock and the garage door rolled up to welcome it and quickly closed. An equally grim, bearded man unloaded a coffin from the hearse on a gurney and lowered it amongst the small crowd. Without ceremony he opened it to reveal a selection of automatic rifles, shotguns, pistols, and body armor neatly stored inside. The men queued to pull out multiple items. They tossed in cell phones, wallets, and keys then and stepped off to strap on their choices under large jackets. The driver stripped off his jacket to load up too, a tattoo with _“Per Mare Per Terram”_ on a scroll peeping under the short sleeve over his muscular bicep. He issued laser bore sight cartridges to each man. The men loaded them to zero their weapons against paper targets posted on the wall. The warehouse echoed with clicks and clacks of weapons being checked, re checked, and loaded. 5 minutes later the crew loaded into a panel van and pulled out of the warehouse. Materializing out of the darkness, the bored man in his stylish mackintosh approached the vehicle driver side. The window rolled down. “Mr. Winter” the driver said, nodding at him curtly. Mr. Winter scowled, “Remember. No matter what happens, put two in Warren’s face. I want that fool dead before dawn.”
It is, but it's a licensed recording. Acquiring licenses takes a lot of work, and of course there's a cost attached to each one. AND, there's no guarantee the stories in question are commercially available for licensing. All that said -- never say never! It just won't happen any time soon.
I absolutely LOVE by One by Two By Three im not kidding just like many (all books on HorrorBabble Mostly) ive listened to this around 100+ times with Shadow of Port Innsmouth at no 1 most listned too lol Not exaggerating either hahaha made my own HB playlist favorite books to least and... Warren my dear boy lives on in my heart!
Beginning of every video Everyone: laughs I love the intro. Me: I can't let Warren go! IM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTIONS!!!!!!!!! Plot Twist: We all Killed Warren many times if no one read the book would Warren really be dead?! THINK ABOUT IT!!
There has got to be at least two lists of graveyard ghouls in the HorrorBabble back catalogue:) You could headline each with Pickman's Model and The Lurking Fear. Is CAS's The Charnel God RUclips able or is it too rude?
@@HorrorBabble oh really? CAS used to get free advertising for Weird Tales by bunging necROMANCEy in there so don't waste your time on Empire of the Necromancers but The Charnel God feels like a link between the mythos and D&D/computer games.
I seem to remember a story about three boys tell scary stories to win candy. One simply turns into a monster and eats the candy. Can someone tell me what the name is?
As a longtime supporter of the channel, it's really disappointing to see AI images being used for the thumbnail. If I didn't already know and love this channel, I would have never clicked on this video, because I would have assumed that this was just one of those awful AI generated voice things. I know a lot of other people who feel the same way. I, along with many other artists, automatically avoid anything using AI images because all of the image generators (midjourney, etc) are trained on massive amounts of stolen artwork. Same goes for chatGPT and any other AI generative engine (I think the New York Times is currently suing ChatGPT for using hundreds of their articles without permission or credit). Right now, there's a huge movement on horror movie twitter of people boycotting a new indie horror film because it used AI images in a couple scenes of the movie. If we let AI become acceptable even for small uses like thumbnails or a few movie shots, soon it'll be acceptable to write entire movies with AI or have AI illustrate entire graphic novels. The corporate assholes in charge of arts and media companies will have no problem replacing the jobs of real artists with technology that steals from artists online, and when we use AI even in small ways, we're helping to normalize that. I'm sorry to get preachy in a youtube comment, but I love this channel so much and I can tell you guys are people who really value art and the artists who put their heart and soul into making it. I think that by using AI images even just as your thumbnails you're going to drive away a lot of people who might have otherwise loved the videos.
I appreciate where you’re coming from. This was in response to another similar comment: “It's too complex an issue to address here in detail, but do know that I'm working on it -- I commissioned an artist for last month's offerings, but that isn't sustainable on a weekly basis.” I always look for public domain imagery in the first instance, but a lot of the sites I use are also becoming swamped with AI stuff, and it’s getting harder and harder to tell what’s what. We’ll get there.
Oh no, the horrible curse of a typewriter that automatically writes fantastic horror stories the publishers love whenever you put paper in it... how terrible. I sure hope nobody ever curses me with a minimal effort income source and infinite horror stories to read.
Five hours of horror! You excel yourself, Ian. Thank you for this collection.
