my first save ever in fm was with hambourg in fm23 i just thought i was bad, but now i realised why it was so difficult...
Hamburg fan here, as you can see from my profile picture, I just watched the intro and tbf I don't really think we truely bottled this season with 66 points out of 34 matches. It was basically a 3 horses race on the top and Heidenheim/Darmstadt gained 1 more point, however all of these teams have been very consistent. Everything else was spot on

Every season is bottled where u don’t promote with the highest budget by far in 2. Bundesliga, isn’t it?
Not getting relegation with not a single aspirant Bundesliga club in the second division is bottling it, HSV are Master bottlers
@@jans0478 didn't know we had a higher budget than Cologne, Stuttgart, Schalke, (Hertha) and Bremen
@@narchia161 read the financial statements from DFL for each season if u haven’t yet. Next season Hamburg has the highest budget once again fyi
There used to be a big Dutch link (yes I am Dutch) Van der Vaart, Mathijssen, Van Nistelrooy even, Bruma, Nigel de Jong, Ola John, Castelen all used to play for HSV.
Fun fact Klopp was once linked with the job. He didin't got it because he went in a suit. Jol the former Spurs manager got it because het went in a tracksuit.
Damn they missed a chance there!

yeah we were 2nd and then dropped down to third like 6 games before end of the season. Before the last match we were 1 point behind 2nd place Heidenheim. That means we had to win our game vs 18th place Sandhausen and they had to draw or lose vs 17th place Regensburg. We went 1-0 up in the 3rd minute and won our game 1-0 but Heidenheim had problems vs Regensburg and went 0-1 down around the 60th minute. They even went 0-2 down and we hoped that we might get promoted and the time had finally come. We had 4 minutes added time and after the game end Heidenheim was still 1-2 down and we believed we got promoted but Heidenheim scored in the 95th and 99th minute to make it 3-2 and they got promoted.

Okay, little german lesson: „Hamburger“ in this context means „of Hamburg“. So Hamburger SV basically means „sports club of Hamburg“.
Just saying „Hamburger“ when refering to the club is pretty nonsensical.
Just say Hamburg or HSV, thatˋs how they are usually refered as^^
The same example we have in Poland with ŁKS - it's Łódzki Klub Sportowy (Sport Club of Łódź)
club i know very well from FM22, did a rebuild of Hamburg myself. eventually managed to break into UCL football but trying to displace Bayern at top of the league would have taken forever. great video!
Nice video Jake. Played with HSV always since FM08. I had very good save in FM2022 mainly playing with 4-2-3-1.... Started to watch HSV with oranje connection of De Jong, Mathijsen and Van der Vaart. This video is a pure class
I Think you should make a rebuild with “Esbjerg fB” in the 2. Division of Denmark. 5 years ago, they became 3rd in the “Superliga” which is the best league of Denmark. Then they went to get relegated twice:)
Hi Jake! Is there any chance you will do an Anderlecht rebuild? It’s a club with a lot of history and it was usual to win the Belgian league every year. But it keeps getting worse right now. Last season they finished 11th…
Another great video, Jake! Wanted to ask, after the 5 year period of your rebuilds have you considered just simming another 5 or so years ahead and seeing how your teams get on post your mangement with the base you've given them? I think it'd be cool to see where they go after your reign 🙂
I hadn’t thought of that purely for the time taken to do it but maybe I can incorporate that
Love these rebuilds Jake. Great work as always and look forward to the next one. One to consider could be Scunthorpe who have gone from the Championship in 2010/11 to National League North next year. They were still in league one just a few seasons ago so somethings gone very wrong there. Best wishes. Matt

really rubbing it in with vuskovic. (context: vuskovic has been suspended since winter on a allegedly controversial doping charge. his absence has been cited as one of the reasons, things did not work out this season)
We shouldnt be in second division but we cant compete n first division football. Failed the play offs twice now with a team that should be good enough for making it happen. But thank you for choosing my favorite team :)

Weghorst is cracked as a TF in FM this year. Donkey in real life, but can be very good in FM in the right system

you didn't set tactics in the first season + you had 2 mil in the bank. why not upgrade the squad with some free signings and/or loans?
I didn’t want to overload it - even if I signed a few players it would likely just mean someone else doesn’t play in their place and becomes unhappy - didn’t want to lower club morale!

Been asking around and not seen any rebuilds of recent times for Blackpool. Recently relegated from the championship. Poor history with management and the like and was just over 12 years ago when were in the prem

how is vuskovic still in the game. he's recently been banned for doping. he was absoloute class in my hamburg save
If you stop at when the profile is open in the beginning, you'll see when the suspension takes place. He will be banned just after the first leg for 2 years, which fits the suspension in reality, but this video covered 5 years.
Vuskovic is currently suspended because of doping
