    By the way she also represented the same country (Philippines ) on miss world but she didn't won and Australia never claimed it 😊 ooppsss

    But Catriona has a heart of being a Filipino 🇵🇭😍

    These insecure Australians. Catriona decided to represent the Philippines, therefore they have nothing to say about her own decision. It's not like she was forced to represent the Philippines, rather, she chose it herself!

      syoma fukasaku even though, it was really unfair. When cat did not win miss world, Aussies never request credits and when she succeeded wha la.. And it is not based of intersests, it is citizenship rights and blood inheritence.

    Actually more Filipino's helped Catriona to Win that Miss Universe title and Crown.

    I didn’t see Australia heartbroken when Catriona was robbed of Miss World. I didn’t see Australia fight to have Catriona represent them. But when she’s crowned Miss Universe, somehow they now claim her as their own?
    Miss Australia deserves better than her fellow Aussies attempting to ride the coat tail of Catriona’s success. Shame on them.

    For me, Catriona win as Miss Universe 2018 because her team which is Filipinos trained and help her a lot. Even Pia and other beauty queen in the Philippines. That's the reason why they are proudly shout that they are Filipino. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I believe

      HansCent The truth is she’s really Australian but sadly it just so happens that she’s representing the Philippines in the pageant.

      @@dumbbassist Why would you be sad? It's her choice, and she thinks she made a good choice. She chose Philippines ever since Little Miss Philippines pageant. Would Aussies still claim her as theirs if she didn't win? And if it wasn't because of her advocacy on children (her kindness, down to earth, humble and caring personalities) and her intelligence , she might not have won. What I'm saying here is, she chose Philippines because she wanted to help the people to help, you know what I mean? Sorry.

      Akijoy Escandor The article headlined says “ Filipino loves claiming things” I don’t want to be labeled as person w/ crab mentality but it’s true..Filipinos love to claim things specially when it comes w/ fame, prestige and honor. But when a Filipino person did something bad or negative abroad it easy for us to condemned it. Just saying. 😁😆🤭

      @@dumbbassist The real truth on this issue is the same with other nationalities and cultures. People always despise other countrymen who did wrong and exalt the good famous ones, am I right?
      So, most of our people are proud of any achievement someone does for his-her country, but at the same time, some people also hate things within our boundaries, so it depends on every situation. So what is the fuss? She won and she chose Philippines as her citizenry on every competition and she loves to uplift her mother genes, sorry for her Aussie's beginning, period. 😝 😁

    • @HansCent
      @HansCent 5 лет назад

      @@dumbbassist my original comment was really about Rappler's report. As for her being Australian, it doesn't matter she chose to represent the Philippines and your argument should be toward the Australian newspaper crossing out 'Philippines' in their headline.

  • @elainelat8067
    @elainelat8067 5 лет назад +3

    Guys please, don't generalize all of the Australians. The reporter of that headline and the publication itself are the only ones in the wrong.

  • @aestheticdesk

    And she knows our country's cultures more than Austrilian culture she didnt let a single stone flip if that make sense but she discover and learned about our country's culture
    What if she didnt won Miss U would you report that Miss Philippines is a Austrilian?
    Or did you just put this to get an Austrilian Miss Universe?
    Let me see if you can answer that correctly she claims that she is more a pinoy than aussie in her interviews here back then she told us that she's Pinoy aussie and not just an austrilian have dignity people just nowadays people are judgemental they want to own something that its not really meant to be still the crown is our Philippines lets raised our flag dont let others bother our Queen Cat and us Pinoys👑👑👑👑🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤

    did china and ireland claim their girl as miss universe australia 2018 francesca hung also have her roots coming from these 2 countries??? come on... why the hell would SOME AUSSIES cry on a spilled milk???
    look at you guys come on... both of our heritage are diverse... we just have to learn how to respect and be happy for others. yes it's true that catriona's father is an IRISH-BORN aussie yet her mother is a full blooded filipino... what the hell is wrong with you guys??? i myself is a half filipino half indian. our indian girl did not make it and it's ok... i am happy for my filipino side...
    FYI all filipinos are diverse as we have the blood of chinese, indian, malay, japanese, spanish and american. so stop being a childish player. grow up and accept the fact

    Why are you reporting this she's hald pinoy and aussie so what is wrong withh you people did the german's report Pia when she won back in 2015 i think she chose to represent our country which is the Philippines because she wanted to help the people here its not about where she was born,raised and studied its all about getting our pride please have some respect and its not good to cross out a country's name after winning the miss universe and putting other name of places.

      Ummm...no one is denying that she was born in Australia.But it is a fact that she CHOSE to represent The Philippines TWICE (Miss World and Miss Universe)and chose permanently reside in Manila,Philippines since 2011.Also,she herself when ask by a local interview what does she consider herself to be: she answered straight from her mouth that she consider herself Filipino-Australian.She's proud of her Filipino heritage without discarding her Australian side. So there.

    they a claimed Catriona as their citizen, because Catriona Won the title of Miss Universe. what if Catriona didn't won the title do they still have the same treatment as what they treat to Catriona's today? Ever since when Miss Universe have not yet stated Filipino people supported her win or loss.
