The amount of places i have seen this on a "one of the best boards this year" lists scares me a bit now
There’s a lot of pay to play lists.
Better stick to shaping surfboards or start over with this one! Have the last PYL 160w on sale in NZ coming over the Optimistic as only the 157 available and was hoping for quicker edge transition than the wider waist on the Optomistic. I thank you for your review of both and helpful comments. I like you ride 21.5 however I am going to expand my horizons 😂 and try riding 22.5 to 23 to avoid the front foot missing the mid bite section. Will be next season I ride it I will let you know next year if this worked out. Have a great season! Best information and reviews period. Thank you
I've got a PYL from 2020. It's a big pow board and that's about the most I use it for. Deep days.

I had a feeling this might suck when I watched the video for it and the shaper said he was sick of riding shitty k2 boards.
As opposed to the rossi board, this one is getting hyped in other reviews. So this might be top one overhyped board this year.
I do like the graphic tho.

We chuck this Yes to the garbage bin, fine… but then I’m confused by your list of comparable boards- which I thought you actually loved? I’m starting to second guess what you mean by that term now. I thought these comps were all very good boards?

Damn, brother. I know what ya mean when you list comparable boards. Here we can say the Flagship and the Mercury are like supermodels and this thing is, like, the catwalk.
Sometimes you list better boards that are in the same category so people go, hmm maybe I should buy that. Or do I need to start holding peoples hands and wiping their asses for them? Instructions unclear.

I TRIED THE YES PYZEL AND, AS A SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR, I PARTIALLY AGREE WITH THE REVIEW. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT IN SAYING THAT IT'S NOT AN ALL-MOUNTAIN BOARD: IT LACKS POP, BUTTER TRICKS ARE HARD TO EXECUTE, JIBBING IS VERY DIFFICULT, AND IT'S CHALLENGING TO USE IN SWITCH STANCE. HOWEVER, FOR CARVING, IT PROVIDES EXCEPTIONAL SUPPORT EVEN ON HARD SNOW. IT'S NOT AN ALL-MOUNTAIN BOARD; IT'S A BOARD THAT ENSURES HIGH-PERFORMANCE CARVING, APPROACHING A HARD BOOTING BOARD.

appreciate the review, i disagree tho. i myself find getting pop is not that hard on this board. yes jibbing an buttering is harder, skill issue imo. I believe it is just a rider specific board built for the larger people who snowboard more agrresively. nonetheless love the honesty

Sounds like its good for nothing. If I'm going to partner with a surfer to design a surfboard, I'd choos Jerry Lopez. Otherwise as a surfer can we stop with the surfer collabs.

Agree yeah as a surfer I like to bottom turn and toe side arc and hit lips and faces on the mountain however a snowboard and surfboard are completely different objects and I can always tell a predominant snowboarder in the surf much the same predominant snowboarders can tell us surfers on the mountain.
Snowboarding wouldn’t exist without surfing, and it has evolved naturally with insane technology & talent. But never underestimate a legit snowboard company’s ability to produce a total shitwagon of a deck in the name of “collaboration”…

Hello Avran, hello boys. Need help with deciding if i should buy Yes Basic uninc 152 (158) or Yes Jackpot 156 for park laps, small time groomers and off piste. Got solid price on those decks. Im 5.7 high 165 lbs. Thx.
