I was the drum major for my 2017 fieldshow as a junior, and I learned a crap ton of nuances from your conducting (like when you spread your feet for musical changes). I'll be the drum major again later this fall, and I'm looking forward to adding so much more of your techniques and cues to my conducting! I want to get the Best Drum Major award at ACCs this year, and I think I can totally do that since I got 3rd last year. (Just finished my 4th AP exam today lol. Back on the band grind)

I am/was (season recently ended) drum major for the 2018 season at my high school; I am a sophomore. You are phenomenal. Your cues and style are so graceful, yet very clear. And I see a bit of Dean Patterson style in that 5/4 😆 I hope whatever you have gone off to do since this video you have succeeded, and I wish you the best of luck in any of your future music endeavors. +jovanosborne081999 Hey man. The opener was in 5/4 except for 4 bars of 3. The second movement is in 2 (but I changed some of it to 4 for phrasing purposes) The third movement began in 4/4 and then went into 3/4 and then back and forth between 3 and 4 during the firebird segment.
Great Cues and facial expressions! It is a great way to connect with the music and players!!! I try out for DM at my school in 2 weeks!!..
