The best explanation I have found. I have gone down a rabbit whole of unclear fiddle leaf fig care videos!
Girl, this was very helpful. To the point, brief and funny. Thank you!!
The best part of this video is at 3:30. Kind of unexpected but hilarious 😂
LOL I love that you have the exact time stamp!
Thank you for the tip about trim and shape brown foliage :)
thanks in advance. I was about to give up on my fiddle tree. But you made it so simple! I hope it stays alive
Very helpful, thank you! Will try your suggestions and see how my plant does. I'm glad you're not trying to sell product and it's just straight advise...feels a little more genuine. Love the funny bit.
Thank you so much for an exact clear precise explanation of propagation of Fiddle leaf... I loved it... Perth Australia
I was looking for 'chopping lyrata without leaves' information for the past 1 hour and you just answered it. I do have a tall, old, ugly and almost naked lyrata and I am about to give it a new life. Thank you!
how did you do? I have a plant that lost all of the leaves due to a abrupt change in soil (my fault, long story). Were you able to revive yours? Mine was probably 8' tall and now it's just a stick :(
Super helpful as here in Australia.. I watered my plant and popped him outside.. I did however forget about him and he got very sunburnt! This video was super helpful! Thank you!!
Finally! Saw a lot of unhelpful videos before this one. Very informative!
Mad helpful! Straight to the point! Thanks!
Thank you so much this was so helpful!! I'm going to trim the brown spots off my fiddle leaf fig now:)
update?
Thank you so so much, first video that's actually given me answers. Off to revive mine!!
THANK YOU so much for the video. Super helpful for my plant!
great video! thanks will try all of this :)
My fig looks just like this!! Thank the universe for this video. I was stressing out about my poor baby and what to do. I didn't know you could cut the leaves 😮
This was most helpful!
Super helpful AND you are adorbes!
Wow, this is so neat!!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for your help .
To the point and helpful. 👏
Thank you! This is exact my problem. My fiddle leaf is skinny and naked which is a shame.
Very helpful after trying many unhelpful sites.
Great content thank you
Ahhh what a good idea to cut off all the brown. Mine started with all this dark brown so hopefully it won’t come back after I trim it
After watching several videos, youre the only one who addressed the leafless plant problem. Much thanks! I dont have the courage to pull out the few leaves of my young plant as yet... Lets see if they drop. My leaves arent crispy around the edges but the leaves have turned from green to a shade of brown-green, evenly, in a week and they feel dry... The baby leaf that was coming up on top dried up.
I'm happy to help! So it's really important to make sure you're watering weekly and have good drainage. Where in your home do you have the plant? Bright windows are okay but more sunlight= plant will dry out sooner, so keep up with the watering and be careful of sunburn! Also fiddles are notorious for stressing out when being repotted especially if you mess with their roots, so maybe the plant is experiencing repotting stress.
@@oh.yaz.please Thanks for the response! At the moment it is in the shade outdoors but the day i bought it, i repotted immediately and it was in strong sunlight for 2 days. Rookie mistake. The watering schedule should be fine i think. The soil would not dry out and not be soggy with my frequency(every one or two days) because it does drain quite quickly after watering. Heres me hoping it makes it through the repotting stress!
So cute!
Looking good 🔥😍
It's all thanks to you!
Great info! Once you grow those new plants in the water vases you showed, can you plant them?
Thank you! Yes you can! Just wait until the roots are about 2" long and you can plant them in potting mix.
Excellent
Thank you.
When you snipped the plant, did you clip the whole top off? I have two fiddle leaf figs that are not growing.
ty so much I love my fiddle ! I was so scared I lost her!
Have you done Lecca with any of your plants.
Great info in your video! Can you trim the edges of a ficus tineke the way you did here?
Yes you can, the plant will scab over the trimmed bit and it might be a bit noticeable because the tineke's leaves are lighter, but it's better than having a whole chunk of browning. But make sure you're also addressing the issue of why your tineke's leaves are brown to begin with.
After cutting and putting inside the water. Does the water have anything inside like fertilizer?
Nice one
Thanks!
Happy to help!
Are self watering pots good for fiddle leaf trees?
I got a fiddle leaf from some one and it's about 6' tall, which is great but the leaves are uneven, matt and bobbly, not nice smooth shiny leaves. any idea? there's no leaf droppage or browning really
I bought a tree from Lowes it was 3 in one I separated( cut in 3 parts) and put in my house now it's dying. Did I kill it?
Can you do a video on root rot on a fig?? I believe that's what's wrong with mine.
I try to propagate the leaf that i snip. Is it normal it became dried and the leaf start to falls off?
Love the video, but you didn’t talk about notching? Instead of snipping the plant, wouldn’t notching be better to grow new branches with leaves? Thanks.
Would be nice if she answered this 😉
Does any one know why one of my fiddle leaf has holes in it? It’s broad and beautiful but the 2 holes. May I mention that this is the first leave that sprouted after I brought home from the store. Thanks
So if the bottom of the stems are black is that over watering
If brown leafs are a distinctive sign of underwater why do I have to check if the soil il wet?
Thank you for not peddling a bunch of products like the other fiddle leaf fig lady.
I bought mine and I didn't know how to take care of it and it died😭. I will buy again bcs I love indoor plant and thank you for the info
All the leaves from my FLF fell off can it be saved 😢
My fig leaf plant has drooping leaves Plus dead edges. Dead edges, not enough water , droop ing leaves not enough light???
👍
Bad words no good😌
You might also have dry rot ??
I'm not sure what dry rot is, are you referring to root rot??
Note to self… new sharp plant shears
What happened to the next video?.. I have a fiddle leaf fig plant that might not make it!!
I just transplanted my fig and all the leaves turned dark brown (not dried up nor patchy) overnight and is not returning back to green.
Brown spots are also a BIG SIGN OF ROOT ROT . There is treatment !!! Replanting , gravel clay for better drainage she , root supplement , even a hydrogen peroxide/ water mix,,,, I also listen to Claire the Fiddle Fig girl , check her out , she has So much helpful info too 💜good luck !
😁🙏😍
She said dry and crispy so many times that when I read her shirt I first read it as "Let's get dry"
Let’s get dirty baby!
-Problems- with an “s” means more than one problem last I checked. If your plant isn’t under water then I guess your problem is a mystery. 🤷🏽♂️
Your cuttings will never grow into a tree many dont realize that. Also never heard of anyone cutting the crispy' of the leaves but great if the plant doesn't mind ..😄
Wife material right there 😊
Beautiful face 😍
You swore. This video isn't very family friendly... I won't recommend it to my children.
I have a fiddle fig issue that I hope you can help with. My fig is dropping most of its bottom leaves. All leaves are now at the top with an empty trunk. It is about 2 feet tall. What can I do?
Didn't know about the leaf snipping, thank you very much!! 😄
You're welcome! Gotta keep our plants looking good!
yes! I saw something that told me not to do that but now I will! I trust this girl! lol
@@alexisbranch4525 I've done it to all of my plants, just helps keep a pulse on the current health of the plant and makes them look prettier!
