It's definitely a strong angle shot that when it goes off it can severely catch the enemy off guard. The only problem with it is due to variance with needing three say its names in the graveyard you can sometimes just never see it. Therefore sometimes it can help close out a game and sometimes it does nothing which is kind of like a lot of cards in the deck so I think it's a good addition
I honestly thought this was a collab. Sad it wasnt some mtg creator i didnt know, yaknow. On collabs tho, have you thought about, approached, or been approached by thraben u or bosh n roll for one? Id love to see you give them a bit of a clinic on dredge stuffs, and see a few of the mtg creators i like join forces. All these channels are criminally underrated
I recommend city of brass over confluence because you can respond to the damage trigger at 1 life and dredge for a chill. Minor stuff but glad to see this build!
Great video, I'm in the midst of building a Dredge list for modern too, and I'm watching every single to learn about as much as possible. Thanks for the good videos! On a side note, did you try Psychic Frog in Dredge? What's your feedback on it? I'm running 3x main and I'm still not 100% bought on him. His potential in this deck is high tho Edit: Good draws to you from Portugal 😅
Glad to help! I'm a Frog believer, but not in this specific build. We have a video with another recent build running Frog in the maindeck-check it out here: ruclips.net/video/LuamPalhVOY/видео.html. I'm also working on a new build focused on Frog, so stay tuned!
Leyline: Bounce it with Into the Flood Maw. RiP: Counter it, though RiP currently sees no play in competitive Modern. Artifact hate: We can usually rebuild the graveyard after it (like with Spellbomb or Tormod's Crypt) or bounce them at the end of your opponent's turn, setting up a great turn before they redeploy it. If these cards are too frequent in your local meta, I recommend Pick Your Poison. Check out the list in the next video on the channel, which will be posted this Monday.
I tested this card in the last video, but it doesn't seem that necessary in the current meta. If your local meta has a lot of Surgical, Faerie, or Unlicensed Hearse/similar artifacts, it might make sense to include Gravestone in the sideboard.
Do you think Altanak brings a unique and valuable angle to the deck, or is it just a win-more card? 🐛
I kinda think its win-more tbh. But you may consider a copy or 2 of Boseiju to handle problematic permanents.
As someone who watched it pop twice in an RCQ on turn 2, I think it provides a strong angle shot that no one sees coming. I think it's super strong.

I'll definitely be trying it next time I play. It's an exciting option.
I think it allows modern dredge to have a potentionally explosive win-con which it kinda lacked before with a very all in strat.
Such a sick list, love what you’re doing
Thanks!
Nice upgrade!

I’d love to collaborate with them! Let’s ask them and get the conversation started. @BoshNRoll @ThrabenUniversity

I did my best wind impression! 🌬
we need this in Pioneer! 👏🏼👏🏼🤣🤣
Agreed!

Vou testar sim, especialmente quando começar no draw. Valeu!

You're definitely right! City of Brass is so annoying on MTGO, though. About 50% of the time, you have to redo your action.
Sensacional!
Thoughts about hedron crab over otherworldly gaze for the flares? Ive been testing it out, and it allows for much more explosive starts too
Flare will definitely work better with crabs, frogs, or other blue creatures alongside Narcos and Amalgams. Let's give it another shot soon!

@@MahfuzVanGogh Oh great, I'll watch that and be on the look out for the new Frog builds 👀
Cmommmm Dredge !
Let's goooo zombies! 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️
So I want to play Dredge in Modern. Is this your recommendation of all the variants youy have tried? I just want to focus on one version.
I would recommend this build, or the other one from my last Modern video, without Altanak but with Loam.
what is the plan against rest in peace, leyline of the void or artifact hate?
Leyline: Bounce it with Into the Flood Maw.
RiP: Counter it, though RiP currently sees no play in competitive Modern.

What match-ups you bring in flare of denial?
Combo decks, but I'm not convinced this is a good card for our deck.
hii, i saw yesterday a card called silent gravestone, that card seems to be a must on sideboard, what do u think about?
I tested this card in the last video, but it doesn't seem that necessary in the current meta. If your local meta has a lot of Surgical, Faerie, or Unlicensed Hearse/similar artifacts, it might make sense to include Gravestone in the sideboard.
engagement to please the alghrithm.
Super important, thanks! ✨️✨️
Just my observation as a humble viewer, but man this deck would kill for a fifth copy of cathartic reunion, it really is the best card in the deck no?
Dredge has played Thrilling Discovery in the past, but it pushes you into an extra colour
Now that we have Cephalid Coliseum, we can activate this draw-three effect multiple times per game.
