I envy Dr abel Daminas patience because this interviewer wasn't here to really listen. He wants to show that he knows too much but is more ignorant than he knows. You ask a question allow the interviewee to answer before you interrupt. Dr Damina you have done well Sir.

      @Naimayah-7th 10 месяцев назад +6

@@warefera the questions was not a problem, they needed to be asked. But why ask a question you didn't require an answer for. We wanted to hear the interviewee's full response now we don't know his full belief system concerning what doctrine he follows. I don't know the dr. Y-tube suggested this and i was like there's someone who doesn't believe in tithing, now let me listen to their angle and the scripture he based his doctrine in cause this is the first time I even hear his voice.
I ended up with half answers so what's the use of the interview? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Even in debates, if this was a debate not an interview answers are needed.
In A debate both must ask questions and both must answer and both must put across their points and defend them with evidence and in this case SCRIPTURE, so this is definitely not a debate it was an interview as only one person was asking questions, it's an interview but a very strange one. The interviewee should answer questions asked, period, give them time to answer even if you don't like the answer you called him to understand his belief system though, you don't agree with it.
The interviewer was not interested in the ANSWERS and it's ok cause it's his platform. It was a tackle and topple match.

Hi Paul Adom-Otchere. Thank you for bringing this clarity. Please it would have been good if you had listened to the explanation the pastor was giving so you could have asked appropriate questions and not argue. It seemed you prepared to argue with the pastor. To get a black and white answer. The pastor was just explaining the truth he found out. That Jesus satisfied the law of tithing does not mean you stop giving. It means your giving is no longer by compulsion but motivated by love. Using the law for knowledge of God's expectations of man; then living freely in Christ with the guide of Holy Spirit is the new way of God. Let us walk in the newness of the freedom Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection has afforded us. More to unpack on the newness of life in Christ. For Christ is the hope of glory! SHALOM!!!

Tithe predates the law in that Abraham paid tithe, Jacob paid tithe.
If we are to continue in the faith of Abraham whose children we are if we walk in the same faith through which we are justified, then it behooves us to do same.
The epistles never condemned tithing but silent on it because we are to walk by faith just like Abraham.
A careful study of the Bible shows that human life on earth began by grace, then the law, and closes grace. Even under the law, grace was hidden.

The views is as a result of the fact that the world loves controversial people. Not because he is right. Dr Abel said that in Malachi 3, God was speaking to just the priest, not true. Read Malachi 3:9. He was speaking to the whole nation. Damina said, the 10 commandments has no curses attached to them. Lies. Read Exodus 20:5 and 20:7. If that is not enough, read the expanded version of the curses in Deut. 28: 15-68. Verse 15 specifically said it was for the commandments. Tithe was not given under the mosaic law so it cannot be abolished with the 612 laws ( by the way, they are 613 not 612 like he said). According to his argument, if Hebrew 7 said they need to be a change of priesthood from Aaronic to Melchizedek, then lets study Melchizedek practices like we would study Aaronic practices if we were to be under the law. Melchizedek received tithe (Gen 14:20). So should all the priest that subscribe to his priesthood under Jesus. Jesus could not have collected tithe because he was made a priest after the order of Melchizedek after his death not before. If we argue that Jesus did not pay tithe, then it would be very wrong for him to approve it and advice people to do same (Matthew 23:23). That Dr Abel speaks passionately doesn't make his arguments correct. Let's be guided.

      Colossians 2:9-15
(NIV) 9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

If Paul had let him speak, Pastor Abel would have been able to embellish on Jesus taking away the legality of the tithe. And the video ended right where Pastor Abel said, "the tithe is only 10%." 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 is about giving freely and with love. Not legalism but giving out of an honour to God and to man and therefore going back to the two commandments of loving God and loving your neighbour. All the other commandments where God says "don't do xyz" are because in these ways you dishonour both God and your neighbour. Love wins the day even in our giving... which should be done out of a loving heart and not legalistically.

You must add that Abraham is the only person to have tithed before the law. He tithed not from his possestions but from the things belonging to those kings.
Also add that Abraham tithed once in his lifetime. That Jacob never tithed. He only made a promise. Therefore his giving of the 10 percent was not because there was a word of Gof requiring him to do so but because he voluntarily promised. Note also that the promise was conditional - on condution that God made him successful.

38 You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. ' But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Mathew 5.
These were not the content of the 10 commandments but among the law of moses. thats what the pastor was trying to clarify but the moderator cannot wait to make it look like his teachings about tithe are wrong becos its anti general theology

Pastor Damina was wrong when he said there's nothing wrong in tithing.
Pls everything is wrong with tithing. Galatians 2:17-19; 3:10-11; 5: 1-4.
Damina shouldn't succumb to pressures & intimidation from his rogue colleagues. If he's taken a stand with the truth, then he must do so totally. No half truths.

Matthew 23:23 confirmed tithes payments even though Jesus was rebuking but he said they shdnt have left tithing undone.
Those teaching against payment of tithes takes something much more than tithes.
Let the Spirit of God in you teach u what's right and what to do . 'Those that are led by the spirit are the children of God'.

To me, it's better to keep paying tithes and when you get to heaven to discovered it's no sin not to pay (no condemnation for such) than not paying tithes and get to heaven and discovered it's a sin not to have paid (which sentences to hell without remedy).

You should go back to Matt: 23:23 He said how terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You give to God one tenth even of the seasoning herbs, such as mint, dill, and Cumin, but you neglect to obey the really important teachings of the Law, such as Justice and Mercy and Honesty. These you should practice, without neglecting the others. In other words, you are refusing to do the really important things and you are chasing shadows. That is, cleaning the outside of your house and leaving the inside dirty! Who are you deceiving!

@@hauwaagwae4660 you obviously don't understand what you read sir. Jesus condemned them for neglecting a show of love, justice, judgement just because they were paying tithes. He concluded by saying they shd ve taken a show of mercy, justice, etc more seriously and also don't neglect tithing. So, they're not condenmed for paying tithes but for neglecting kindness/ goodness to humanity only to coverup with tithes payment.
Verdict: Jesus' submission is to show kindness/goodnesses, Mercy and justice to the poor and also continue with tithes payment.

I didn't say they were condemned for paying tithe or for tithing but that they were neglecting the most important things like Mercy, justice, kindness....to humanity, which is like cleaning the outside of your home and leaving the inside dirty. They were paying tithe as a cover up. Tithe or Tithing is not the most important thing or aspect to Christianity and Christians. That's my take my dear bros. Thanks, God bless you

@@hauwaagwae4660 I quite get u better now. Nonetheless, writingoff tithing shouldn't be encouraged - that's my personal take though. I believe we can be merciful, kind...to humanity and stil pay our tithes. Tithing doesn't reduce us in anyway if weightier issues mentioned by Jesus are given serious attention. Many thanks, sir.
