Not so with marriage as God expresssd his mind about marriage all through scriptures. The issue of cultural relativism does not come in at all. He set the rules, and that makes it universal, not cultural.
We have been so deeply rooted in traditional Christianity braised with fear and a feeling that demean the image of Christ in our life, it feels good to have an alternative perspective to what we already know then we can search for the truth with the help of the Spirit guiding us towards the light or truth. After listening to this man, countless times, i humbly come to the conclusion that he is a confused man. There are some things he gets right, and some that he is utterly wrong. How dare you say a suicide man will get into heaven, even the example he cited was wrong, samson was already a living dead man, because of his mistake with delilah, so he asked God, that he should perish with the philistines. Abel Damina is ahead of his time. You have to be at some level to understand him. If you are at that level, you will definitely appreciate him. He is excellent, great and knows his stuff. I am afraid that the Pentecostal Charismatic churches in Nigeria will not agree with him because they want the status quo to continue. Abel is educating us and using logical reasoning to scatter the bible. I agree with his view that it is not God that gives children but man. I disagree as a Pastor about his Marriage philosophy. What did Jesus say about marriage? No wonder so called men of God this days are messed up. Having godly husband with biblical principles is best for a healthy marriage and relationship. I have been married to my European wife, educated her in the word of God despite our background, currier, cultural differences, color and age gab of 18 years, we are still strong together for almost 28 years and going… we also have a son when she was 40 years of age. Yes we have been through thick and thin of marriage and we are now a living testimony of no matter what, Christ is the centre of our marriage.
