If you're paying $25 a month for rent then you should be doing everything in your power to make sure you follow the rules of the lease. She'd be stupid not to be out by the 10th because if she isn't then the eviction is going on her record and she'll lose the assistance. The fact that she not only vaped while in court, but had her kids right there next to her trying to be part of the hearing says a lot about her character. Just another “victim” in society that taxpayers are paying for. I would never complain if my rent was $25 or $28 a month! My god she should be doing everything in her power to keep the place not acting like she’s entitled to it because she’s a single mom of 2. Geez this was hard to listen to. Not the whole case but her testimony and I’ll bet money she didn’t get out in 10 days. Wish I could find out!
Imagine having to spend thousands of dollars to evict somebody that pay $25 . What a joke . The place is always bad when it’s time to go. Why did you move if it was so bad.
I work in a call center for a managed care organization for a state Medicaid program. The level of entitlement shown by the defendant is something that I have to deal with on a regular basis. When people have zero responsibility, this is what you get.
Judge Middleton is way too unfair to landlords. It has already been six months and she is intimidating other people in the residence. Ten days is fair. Once upon a time I had a subsidy for me and my son in Toronto. I went to school, got my degree, found a job and paid market rent thereafter. I appreciated the assistance from my government and enjoyed my fellow residents. I would never have behaved like this lady that I was entitled to anything or to distrub other tenants.
Listen I been up all night watching these videos and i normally hate when people do commentary its distracting but you get straight to the point and the information is relevant. I love it ❤️ Plus this is one of funniest ones yet 😂😂 my kids keep raggin on me because i keep walking around singing that South Park song i cant get it out my head😂😂😂
Wow…this lady needs to put her kids first all these issues could have been avoided. When I was a single mother with 5 kids in a rental which was way to small for us that was all I could get.I kept that little house spotlessly clean & my children where taught manners to respect their elders & others. My priority was keeping a roof over our heads at all time.
I am 49 years old and have never had an altercation with anyone in my life, much less a neighbor. Her stating she just had a few altercations is insanity. Our government is subsidizing this behavior. The rules she broke would kick her out of HUD. She’s an idiot and her kids are the ones who will pay. She doesn’t watch her kids, smokes in the unit, she’s a danger to the other residents who are elderly or have disabilities. It is infuriating to watch that entitlement. Our government has to buckle down and needs to drug test and enforce every rule for every recipient to protect those who need and deserve it.
Happens all day everyday across our country. Hundred’s of thousand of subsidized families, if not in the millions. There are so many social issues involved here, it’s difficult to understand what could actually help her family get on the right track. It starts with her, but it seems like she doesn’t think anything is wrong. 🤷♂️
The government wants to separate the black families. 70% grow up without dad. Then they fill the prisons at that 30cent an hour labour. Yummy. Uncle Sam never stopped slavery it just rebranded as for profit jails. Here in 2023 before the revolution. Good Times. 👍 we are being watched citizens. Constant unwanted surveillance is in itself an incitement to violence - George Bernard Shaw
The problem is that the government can't just turn away from people who can't or won't help themselves. If she can't find housing and her kids are living in a car, then the government may still get involved through a CPS case, where they house and support her children and provide her services, to probably get her right back with her kids into government-subsidized housing. The issues are complex, and I can see why the judge wants to see if she can preserve her ability to find housing elsewhere by avoiding an eviction on her record. I don't know what it's going to take for her to get her act together; but if she doesn't, unless we shoot her to the moon, society and taxpayers will be picking up the slack some way or another.
I'm a bit older than you Rando and I'm amazed how a person can get public aid and STILL have money to buy smokes. Totally agree and even tobacco should be prohibited if you're getting public aid. Meanwhile I have to grind on to retirement and lose almost half of what I make to taxes that a fair portion goes to subsidize the lifestyle of people like her.
@SnuffitLabs - Exactly! We've done this to ourselves with government subsidies. Now, we have a dependent class that expects nothing of themselves. Sad.
The fact that this woman has her kids in the room during a court hearing..(while vaping)..tells you all you need to know. "I pay my rent on time" No, lady..I suspect SOMEONE ELSE is paying your rent....🙋
This is that bizarre thought process of 'vaping isn't smoking' but like I had a buddy who I went to help clean his place to get his deposit back and while we were wiping the walls to paint- vape smoke is even harder than normal smoke damage to wipe down it becomes sticky and almost glue like. The window he would blow out literally needed a scraper for us to do it. It's damage, if the housing states it as such it is because it absolutely damages the walls, ceiling etc...
Yes. Throughout both hearings, the kids are inappropriately interjecting, jumping into the frame, and hearing all this information that should be left to adults only. She just keeps ignoring them and doesn't try to curb the behavior until someone else brings it to her attention. Does anyone doubt that the neighbors are telling the truth when they say she doesn't properly supervise her children?
She has NO ONE to blame but herself. To have that low of rent per month is something I would Cherish & Protect. This woman just flipped off everyone else and then Blames everyone else for her problems. You can tell her kids are unruly brats. I have no sympathy for her or her kids. She is young and quite healthy enough to go out and work like so many other single parents have done over the years. For the government to simply give out this much cash for people's rent is ridiculous.
I love Judge Middleton. As an ex Brit living in the US, I always look at Judge Middleton’s ponytail as he always wears black. In the UK, barristers would take silk when admitted to bar. And their wigs would be tied with black silk.
Our house, built 20 some years ago by Habitat, all had those folding closet doors throughout the house (4 bdr house). 7 closet doors total, if I've counted right. We have removed those doors from a few of the bedrooms simply to allow more stuff to be stored in them; but all those other silly folding closet doors are in place and still working well for the most part. No, I don't care for those door types as they will - on occasion - pop off the track so you gotta mess about with 'em to get them working again. But, if you don't abuse them and bang them around they will work for a very long time. That's the key.
Good on you for being gracious and grateful with your housing gift! Sometimes I'm so hopeless about ever being a home owner or even getting to rent a nice place for my life and I, and seeing tenants like this be sooooo disrespectful is heart breaking.
Her girlfriend "wasn't living there", and yet Ms. Wood says she "allowed her to keep her stuff here, and she had no where else to go". Kinda sounds like she was living there to me!
To be fair, I've done this and was incredibly grateful that my things had a place to stay even if I wasn't with them. Definitely don't believe this gal though

I love how Judge always makes it sounds like Meg Bower is a creep stalking him 💀 I know she just wants the experience and potentially help some of these people but he always announces it as if he has no idea at all why Meg is watching him lol.
Problem is when Meg is given chance after chance she is not only long winded but she brings up what she believes are issues that have nothing to do with the case. Every single time her approach is the same. Her cases are 2 or 3 parters and are at least 2 to 3 hours each part. I guess legal aid is desperate for help.
I was going to say, there is a reason she is working for legal aide…..I’m sure they don’t have a line out the door for the best and brightest attorneys wanting to work there. I remember one where she went up against TJ Reed, and wow, was she overmatched and he made her look like an idiot.
I’ve seen them have a few chuckles (a smile!) between them, and she tries to help people even tho’ money has dried up. She offers legal assistance if people need it.
$25 for an apartment but she needs a townhouse so that all of her throuple gang can move in at once. Oh, and the townhouse better have a bedroom large enough to accommodate 5 people and a vacuum over night. Did I miss anything?
Kudos to Jeff Middleton for handling this with his usual mixture of equity, austerity and compassion. Allowing the defendant to keep an eviction off her record while still removing her within a 10 day period (which is all granting an eviction would do anyway) was the best possible way to serve both parties.
DUDE! I actually did have an idea about one situated in Memphis. I was taking Legal Studies (as my second career at age 52) and it would have followed a class of paralegals and on into their jobs after graduation, which would have been in diverse areas of legal field. We had a LOT of diverse personalities in our class. ANd Memphis is Memphis.....It would had been like "Community" goes into the legal field, in Memphis.
She keeps talking about never lived in an apartment before what does that have to do with you being a good neighbor or a nuisance to everyone. If you’re going to empty your vacuum on the patio knowing you have downstairs neighbors then you’re just gross. Lady, just admit it that you kids a bad and you face challenges keeping them reigned in.
You can tell by the way her kids were acting in the background, she doesn’t have much control over them. Why would you involve your children in these adult matters? They shouldn’t have to share the burden of not knowing where they are going to live in 2 weeks. This mother needs some serious help and it’s a good idea to get CPS involved to get her family some desperately needed services!
If that's how she lets her kid interrupt in a freakin' court hearing, I have no confidence that she would take appropriate behavioural interventions in general.
I was looking for this comment...having your 8 yo involved in your drama is not great parenting. I have no problem believing that he said those awful things to the little 8 yo girl. He's clearly involved in adult matters.
just because she didnt teach her kids manners doesnt give a reason to put cps in someone’s family. Those kids are bad but they are not in harms way im scared of people who are so quick to call family services on lower income families
@@BrideOfChuckyy I agree that CPS involvement may not be warranted at this point, but if she continues to draw law enforcement attention by her behavior and that of her family and friends, she's running the risk that one of these times CPS is going to get called. And if she can't be a decent enough tenant and neighbor to avoid eviction, she may end up homeless and living in a car, then a CPS call is almost guaranteed. She needs to realize that she's vulnerable to these things and make better choices to protect her children.
I suspect she is on assistance and any money she does get she pays an extra 25 dollars above what assistance will pay. That 25 dollars probably comes out of her food budget and if her money goes down her complaint was it was not adjusted in her lease to show it.
@@jasonbender2459 Do you often respond factually and angrily to offhand comments made in jest and/or those otherwise lacking the force of law required to affect the given scenario? You seem to have a considerable amount of fucks to give, sir, but I'm all out. Take care.
The problem is everything is handed to her for free. She is living up to the expectations that society has for single moms. If she had to actually work to make it, she would be more likely to better herself and take pride in her accomplishments. We have to stop the welfare state. We are crippling people and holding them back. Welfare was supposed to be a short term measure or stopgap for people. Instead we have generations living on public assistance and we are rewarding women for having children without a spouse. Holding people accountable for their actions and poor decisions is needed. Give stipulations on support (need to work x number of hours/week or be in school) to qualify) or a time limit on how long they can be on it. Offer education money, job training, offset daycare costs, etc during that time.
Very well said. Couldn't agree more. I could go even further with how it has caused so many people in society today to become lazy and obese and/or drug addicts. Not all, but so many people on welfare and food stamps have no ambition to better themselves through education or work experience. The system itself is more at fault than anything. Why work when you can stay home and watch TV all day and pay 25 bucks a month for rent vs having to get a job which then requires a decent vehicle which then requires money for fuel and then either significantly reduces or eliminates all government assistance. In many people's minds it is much more beneficial to them and their family (if they have one) to not work and stay on welfare. If there was strict limitations and restrictions to receiving government assistance like you mentioned then perhaps it would motivate more folks to contribute to society and at the same time better themselves financially
She should be grateful to have a roof over her head but instead she abused the tenancy and blamed everyone else. Let’s hope she behaves better in the next place she gets.
This lady isn’t sympathetic but when I worked at legal aide the landlords would use “unauthorized occupant” to get rid of low or zero rent subsidized tenants. It was a real problem.
Amateur victim auditioning for professional status. A move in in rankings & class definitely called for. BTW, did I hear her say that its impossible for an 8 year to be a bully? really?
When my wife worked in apartments (thank God she got out) HUD and Section 8 both have to pass inspections before a person can move in. I am not sure I would believe her on all the issues.
People like Destiny are pro victims. They think everyone is picking on them and that they are martyrs. They never take accountability or responsibility for their atrocious actions. They are selfish. They don't care that they are loud and rude and disturbing everyone around them. They think the world owes them and they are entitled to do whatever they want with zero complaints or consequences. They have an exscuse for everything. But if anyone ever did anything remotely like what they've done they'd go crazy and demand justice! It's so hypocritical! And sadly they raise their kids to be the same.
I believe every single allegation against Wood. She doesn’t smoke in the unit? Her voice is like if a cigarette could talk! She has definitely struggled with methamphetamines for a long time. I grew up knowing meth users and she is just like the people I used to know. She’s just trouble. How could she not come up with 25 damn bucks for rent?!? Drugs that’s how!
This is sad. Destiny Wood seems like a mess but she doesn’t seem self-aware enough to understand what a mess she is and how uncomfortable it must be to live anywhere near her. Yet, I also think she’s doing the best she can with what she has, which can be just as true as her being a mess-those two truths are not mutually exclusive. I hope she can get her act together. Seems like she’s had a tough life, and it definitely wasn’t all her own doing. And yeah, her son is a bully. His behavior and scratchy little antagonistic voice makes that obvious. He torments every kid unlucky enough to be in the same classroom or bus with him. The suggestion that he couldn’t possibly be a bully because he’s 8 years old is ridiculous, which confirms to me that he definitely bullies his peers.
Is it necessary to talk sh*t about an 8 year old ? Imagine what his life is, and has been. Stop being a disgusting human being, you're not a child, he is.
so absolutely all of this would have been avoided and absolutely everyone would be happy if Cindi would have just given her that townhouse for free.. smh how can she treat this class act tenant and lady like this? shame on you Cindi!! 😐😒

He had a childhood friend (a landlord) almost go bankrupt bc he kept putting off getting the tenants out for over a year. I don’t get why he’s such a softie when it comes to these people taking advantage of homeowners
The entire complex is low income. That's not the issue here. Everyone is entitled to save living space no matter how much they pay. That's the point of low income.
People fail to understand that if you wanna call and have someone held to every rule, you better also be following every rule. It is retaliation. It is what you wanted and you should have thought about where your decisions would lead.
One out of 100. How can one tenant have SO MANY issues??? And be the only one in the complex that is having these issues? If the management were corrupt, 100 units would be effected.
She wants to be all mad, and think everyone is out to get her, but she caused all the problems. Pays $25 a month in rent, and has the audacity to be a terrible tenant. If she doesn’t change, it will be only a matter of time before she is evicted and can no longer receive subsidized housing.
I almost felt sorry for her. Then, my medication wore off. 😂 She may be at fault, but Cindi (with an I) looks like a B herself. I can tell you one thing, when either of my parents were speaking on the phone, we wouldn’t have dared to interrupt them, unless we were bleeding or on fire. Bless her heart. She needs to be acquainted with how to be a good neighbor and parent. Her son seems to be running the show. Disaster awaits. Consequences…what are they?
22:40 she gets called out for being with both brother and she smiles while trying to say no. lmao.. Then when she has the chance to confront the witness she doesn't say anything about that.
This lady REALLY thinks that 8-year-olds can't be bullies and hasn't heard of ding-dong ditch? I doubt it. Ive worked in property management for 12 plus years. She will lose her section 8 if the eviction goes through. It seems like they are trying to give her all the leeway they can. Side note wish my rent was $28 a/mth
I wish mine was, too. Can she not work? Her children are in school.
Destiny smirking and laughing rather than taking this seriously undermines her.
She thinks she’s flirting. Which is the saddest thing ever
This woman pays $25.00 a month and still causes problems! Wow!
Murphy's Law always wins out.
And those kids that she isn’t even TRYING to control…..geeeez
Don’t worry Judge Middleton we all love ya
All the way from Scotland 🏴🥰💜
I work in a call center for a managed care organization for a state Medicaid program.
The level of entitlement shown by the defendant is something that I have to deal with on a regular basis.
When people have zero responsibility, this is what you get.
Yes. That's what you get when government intervention creates adverse incentives.
I love our judge, Middleton. I watch him every chance that I get.
Listen I been up all night watching these videos and i normally hate when people do commentary its distracting but you get straight to the point and the information is relevant. I love it ❤️
Plus this is one of funniest ones yet 😂😂 my kids keep raggin on me because i keep walking around singing that South Park song i cant get it out my head😂😂😂
You thought this was funny? Disgusting.
Sad.
Sherman, Herman, and Wood sound like a law firm!
Or a Plumbing Company. We lay pipe anywhere, everywhere.
I sincerely hope it works out between Ms. Wood and one of the Mr. Moores. Who doesn't want to see a Moore-Wood wedding and night noises??
Lol
I would! But we don’t know yet if it is HERman or SherMan Moore-Wood.
😂😂😂
😂
The fact that this woman has her kids in the room during a court hearing..(while vaping)..tells you all you need to know.
"I pay my rent on time"
No, lady..I suspect SOMEONE ELSE is paying your rent....🙋
Too bad the state pays when to have kids. How unfortunate for the kiddos.
Everyone there pays low rent. It's for low income. That's the point of low income.
The Judge did a great job, he saw though all her complaints, this was a very awsome video Mike ! 😊👍💕💕💕
Her poor kid sounds like an 80 year old chain smoker. Proof that she smokes in the unit imo.
I love Judge Middleton. As an ex Brit living in the US, I always look at Judge Middleton’s ponytail as he always wears black. In the UK, barristers would take silk when admitted to bar. And their wigs would be tied with black silk.
We’re never really *ex* Brits. It’s always there, no matter how hard we try to hide it.
????
Well arn't you special.

And to Judge Judy!

I was watching the day when your intro conversation happened. I chuckled and thought about LTWM. "I hope Mike finds this!" Loved his pitch for Debbie Davis. ❤❤
Legend has it that she used up ALL the internet words for one day, and the system shut down. IF the place I was living in was so terrible, I would want to move out.
“Just a vape:” ruin your lungs. Pretty rude to the judge.
"It goes on and on and on and on and on"....lol I keep hearing that verse from the song
Someone REALLY needs to make a legal/law enforcement-themed sitcom about this county.
💯 would watch for sure! 😂
When is the judge going to stop
You can also tell that her language and behavior has rubbed off on them. I can only imagine what kind of trouble they're going to end up in.
I'm pretty sure she's blowing vape smoke in her child's face btw!
A Sherman-Herman throuple with wood in-between.
Also, has a VAPE, and spends $28 a month on rent…..????
With monthly rent of only $25, she should be able to afford a few cans of bug spray and even some of those "I like punching walls" repair kits.
I suspect she is on assistance and any money she does get she pays an extra 25 dollars above what assistance will pay. That 25 dollars probably comes out of her food budget and if her money goes down her complaint was it was not adjusted in her lease to show it.
All she doing is letting the judge know all the problems she causing cause he didn’t even know half of that
pest control is the landlords responsibility, foo.

@@othertalk3313 Only when it is a pretty woman in the dock. fat chicks can be evicted for all i care...
Morning. It’s exactly the same in the UK . Laughing at the taxpayers.
I agree completely.
She should be grateful to have a roof over her head but instead she abused the tenancy and blamed everyone else. Let’s hope she behaves better in the next place she gets.
I imagine she will be in for a long wait for Section 8 places. Vacancies dont come up quickly, for obvious reasons.
I don't think she's going to find a place. Her and kids are now homeless. Shelters? Foster care? This is serious.
@@marys2382 I would imagine she finds herself a new boyfriend to shack up with pretty quickly. She isnt unattractive physically
She won't.
This lady isn’t sympathetic but when I worked at legal aide the landlords would use “unauthorized occupant” to get rid of low or zero rent subsidized tenants. It was a real problem.
Don't name your child Destiny folks
I’ve never lived in a trailer, but Ms. Wood seems like she belongs in one.
Question- why does the judge not address the issue of people popping in and out of Destiny Wood’s video screen?
We sort of agree, she never takes responsibility for her actions and has learned that being a victim has it's benefits. It's not her first rodeo.
Grew up that way, has always been the tacky “victim.”
I always get so confused. This place was absolutely terrible and everyone was mean to me. Please let me stay.
Kids treat mama the way the man in her life treats her
Sherman, Herman, Mariah, and Destiny. So, is that a "qupple"?😂
Quouple. 😂
You can't tell me these tenants didn't share stories!
Don’t hire the law firm of Sherman, Herman, and Wood - ever!
This is the first time I saw this. It was a gem. ♥️♥️♥️
She created the "mess", deal with it.
so absolutely all of this would have been avoided and absolutely everyone would be happy if Cindi would have just given her that townhouse for free.. smh how can she treat this class act tenant and lady like this? shame on you Cindi!! 😐😒
Very entertaining. Thanks!
Judge Middleton is feeling guilty for evicting a NIGHTMARE tenant???C’mon, Judge, NUT UP.
Yep! He's a judge and needs to make decisions without bias. Landlords almost always get screwed in his courtroom.
I must be the only one that sides with wood on this one.
Nope. Absolutely agree.
Thanks Mike .
I did not hear anything that I would consider to be intimidation of a witness at all.
Sherman and Herman were woodworking. 😂 Ho, ho, ho!!
Again I love Middleton, but he's too hard on the landlords and too soft on the squatters and rude abnoxious people who are not paying rent. I'm a single mom. My mom just died I'm all alone, my sons father was killed when our son was only 5 months old. I pay my rent, stay quiet, respect my neighbors. I don't do what she does. He drives me nuts. Always caves to the people who should be kicked out. Her rent is ridiculous.
He had a childhood friend (a landlord) almost go bankrupt bc he kept putting off getting the tenants out for over a year. I don’t get why he’s such a softie when it comes to these people taking advantage of homeowners
Drama lady: “That question is irrelevant.”
Me: The judge asked the question!!!!🤦🏻♀️ Is she letting her child listen to the court proceedings!?
Ah. The drama I didn’t know I needed in my life today. I am here for it!!
Sherman and Herman?! Lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow! That's country!
It's real easy to avoid those problems.
25$ a month and the rest is subsidised? What in the actual hell??? What isn’t the government paying for with these people?
Kids interrupting and not being immediately corrected is one of my pet peeves. Drives me nuts, that was very disrespectful to the court.
That explains it all....HUD.....always drama always a pia people
Living off the system. What a surprise.
Ms. Wood stated that her son was eight and so too young to be a bully, seriously? The irony is at that age usually kids imitate their family members.
22:40 she gets called out for being with both brother and she smiles while trying to say no. lmao.. Then when she has the chance to confront the witness she doesn't say anything about that.
No if she were a stripper that would indicate she was working. That would be a no.
I want a bigger house. A town house. For all my friends who move in.😢😢😢 Pitty me.😅😅 What a visitor can stay 14 days ?????
The clip from South Park got me singing along..
Oh, sweet Jesus, a thruple!
Her kid can't even be quiet while in court I'm sure they're gems at other times.
This lady REALLY thinks that 8-year-olds can't be bullies and hasn't heard of ding-dong ditch? I doubt it.
Edit: I do believe that she's had issues with them not fixing things, but that doesn't really have much to do with their claims.
Unrelated, but I hate when people say mAltiple instead of mUltiple. 🙉
The kid definitely shouldn't be in the room, and yes, he is mouthy and probably a bully of other kids because mom is !!
