Dr Randi, wonderful and amazing skills. Please note that Dubin Johnson syndrome is impaired transport of Conjugated bili instead of Unconjugated as you have said, possibly in hurry.
I just watched your whole Gastro playlist and I just want to say GOD BLESS YOU! This was so helpful. I appreciate the storyline and practice questions.
Taking STEP 1 in 3 days and I decided to binge watch your channel! BEST DECISION EVER! You've helped me fill in some gaps I had and it's so easy to follow along! Thank you so much!
Amazing work! Thank you soo much Dr. Randy. The BEST video about Hepatitis B. It’s really helpful, especially the Hepatitis B Phases & when Anti- HBcAg IgG Negative with HBsAg Negative ~~> Vaccinated parts. Great GI HOT tops series. One of the BEST USMLE channels. Looking forward to new topic.
Princess Z, I hope I can keep this up for you... Thank you for taking time to comment and leave a thoughtful message. I know it's not easy to type "Anti-HBcAg".... Thank you...
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. I enjoy this style of learning because it integrates both knowledge and exam solving skills. Life saver, as always Dr.Neil. Been a fan since the first Biostat videos uploaded 5 years ago?
This video was so helpful. I have a question about question 3. Why wouldn't the answer choice E. recent tattoo also be associated with Hepatitis B, if Hepatitis B was associated with an accidental needle stick. What is the difference between the two types of needles.
Natalie, It's been a while since I wrote that question... I would have to familiarize myself with it again... being a Psych doc.. i would have to review it...
Dubin Johnson presents with conjugated hyperbilirubinemia. It’s because of impaired excretion of conjugated bilirubin in the bile. Just an addendum, I think you already caught this though. Awesome video otherwise, the first question had me tricked and now I won’t forget it!

Hello sir nice video Sir in the last of videos you said dubin Johnson as unconjugated bilirubin transport disease Or it is conjugate bilirubin transport disease please correct if i am wrong Rest of the video is awesome
Hey doc quick question. If vaccinated wouldn't he be HBsAb positive instead. I would think if he had the surface Ag present he would be more in the acute phase...thank you
Thank you so much dr. Neil. I got 1Q wrong( a 2month old girl to clinic due to prenatal HBV exposure. Her mom serology, HBsAg,HBeAg,anti-HBc are all positive and anti-HBs is negative). The infant has not evaluated earlier and is exclusively breast feeding&growing normally so and so).No sign&symptoms. The infant's lab.results will most likey show which .?...The correct answer was HBeAg.....I chose the option which says neither HBsAg nor Anti-HBs.....as thought infant is the window period........Thank you .You explained nicely.( one thing here in this baby is ,Despite this high level of replication, infants enter an immune-tolerant phase of chronic HBV in which they are asymptomatic and have normal or only mildly elevated LFT.Over time, chronically infected newborns are at risk as normmal.Tx.=Immediate administration of HBV vaccine and Ig.right after the delivery.Sorry bit long.
oh so this is the window period between disappearance of HBsAg and appearance of sAb.....i thought the window period is the one before inf and acute symptoms......
