Do not try to control the person, you can't. Ensure safe surroundings and give space. Talk softly and be supportive when they wake up. Most times, I have no clue what happened. I wake up sore, completely unaware and confused. I take cues from my surroundings whilst "coming back". Staying calm is the best thing my family can do.
Unfortunately, there is no cure. For some children, it goes away when they get older. Some people have their seizures very well controlled by medication.

You can't control someone who has them. I have them myself and I am put on my side have stuff removed from my breathing areas so it's easy to breathe
