- Third in the series of videos of a day spent exploring Snowdonia National Park on the Royal Enfield Scram 411.
Saturday 18th May 2024 and the days riding continues with us heading back to Beddgelert and travelling east on the A498 passing Llyn Dinas, and Llyn Gwynant before pulling over to take in the view of Snowdon. Back on the bike we continue on the A498 to Capel Curig and turning right to join the A5 to Betws y Coed where the video concludes.

When the weather is dry, it looks like that area is hard to beat for the pure, unadulterated enjoyment of nature on an iron horse.

Hiya Garry and Ruby, yeah it’s been a joy having Stan over in Wales, we’ve clocked up loads of rides together since May. I’m not gonna run out of material for making videos any time soon! 😂😂
I wish I’d done it years ago so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
It’s a joy to hear you’re enjoying the videos, it really helps with keeping me inspired to make em, I’ve found it hard to motivate myself to edit them recently. We had a mishap whilst out on a ride a few weeks back, no serious injuries but a written of bike. I won’t say who it was to spare his blushes, but it has given the old mojo a bit of a knock.

@@MerciaMoto Oh Dave. So sorry to hear that ! Just reassure him/her that these things can be quickly forgotten, if you just move on and don't let them ruin your life. Easier said than done, I know, but in 18 months time things will look very different to how they look today and to a degree, we get to influence that !
Consider yourself lucky that you only have to edit videos ! I am currently still in a cycle of having to record and edit and upload in the space of seven days. Still trying to break that cycle, my latest videos should help with that, but having content on the shelf to be edited at my leisure is actually a long held dream of mine ! You know. Since like three and a half years ago ! 😂

Tell the afflicted party to keep his/her chin up and not let his/her future life be determined by a stupid twist of fate. That was then. This is now ! We can choose to move on and indeed we should ! What seems insurmountable today can seem like a mere bump in the road 12 months later !

Wow Dave. Beddgelert to Capel Curig one of my favourite bit of Welsh twisties. The steep twisties after the Gwynant up to the big car park at the top overlooking the whole Valley , Many an Irn Bru and I notice No bloody motor homes. They did my head in on Sky so I abandoned the north island for the West coast of the NC500. Deffo getting my Paulina to stock up on Lidle crap and doing that North Wales 200 of yours. :))) 💯🎬📽🎧🤓
Hiya Dave, it really is stunning up there isn’t it? And just a couple of hours from home. The camper vans can be a pain, especially when I’m on one of my bikes without any overtaking power! 😂😂 get down to Lidl, strap Paulina into the motor and get yourself over to gods country sharpish! A stunning ride indeed Dave thanks for bringing us along for the ride. As you were telling us about meeting up with the new Himmy owner, I noticed a bus and some cars heading up the side of a mountain/hill to your left, I bet the views from that road are something else. Not been up to much myself, although I've got annual leave I've caught the lurgy from colleagues at work. I'm about to do ground work for another bike shed so all five ( including my son's) can be stored safe and sheltered.
@@michaellilley6725 hiya Mick, it was a great ride. I think the road you’re referring to is Pen y Pas. I’ve ridden it a few times and the views are stunning, it leads on to Llanberris Pass. Sorry to hear you’ve had the lurgy, glad you’re on the mend, nothing worse than being poorly whilst on annual leave! Another bike shed, I could really make use of one of those! 😀Take care mate 👍🏻
Great Thursday morning watch over breakfast, Dave. What spectacular views. Bettws was much busier when I was was there back in late June with quite an eclectic mix of two and three wheelers passing through..

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, glad you enjoyed 😀 I’ve done Pen y pas and Llanberis pass on video a few times before so I did deliberately give it a miss on this ride, but definitely on the list for a future video. Final part of this ride to come next week, down to Blaenau Ffestiniog with a bit of off the beaten track exploration on the way!

17:39 So don't do 20...if there are no cameras, no schools/hospitals/nursing homes etc. nearby, and it's obviously safe to do more than 20, then do so, That's what I do. It makes no sense at all, to blindly follow a ridiculous law, when there is no reason to do so. People need to think for themselves, instead of unquestioningly following every single idiotic law, and doing what they are told, by morons who have no idea!
@@Jer0867 it’s painful isn’t it? Schools and hospitals makes total sense but blanket 20 is ridiculous. But of course I’m a good boy and would never dream of exceeding the speed limit 🤭
