We have never seen you having so much fun with a product! This unit looks great and extremely useful. Thank you for demonstrating and reviewing a really cool tool!
It comes with a big warning for customs just to make sure they don't think it is an actual firearm. Apparently these have had a hard time crossing the border.
I see what you mean about the pinching hazard. Quite dangerous when you've got the torch going full blast and you're struggling to release the trigger all while being in pain. Some more panicked individuals might accidentally ignite something around them. It's not at the release detent, but the point at where the trigger meets the finger guard (ironically). Bob could have solved that problem by making the topmost finger grip ridge protrude a little further out and making that guard hole a bit larger.
I'd love to get the su-v-gun, but my God, almost 200 dollars plus shipping and import charges to Europe... Huge bummer. I'd definitely buy it if it was half the price. But for that price, I dunno...
There certainly is a cool factor represented in the price. There are other torches that might work just as well that you don't have to import, but I don't know if they get as hot.
If using the kettle, I'll usually just lay out the briquettes how I want and then just blast it as evenly as I can for a little while. I still have to wait a while but I find it easier to move unlit briquettes around than those already lit from a chimney. For my WSM, I'll just blast the center briquettes for a little bit and let it slowly come up to the temp I want. I still use a chimney now and then or even just the Weber wax cubes...just depends on what I feel like doing and how.
I've had some really sparky charcoal and moving it around when it is lit can be pretty sketchy. This will definitely avoid that. You are smart to let things heat up slowly. It is a lot easier to dial it in than to pull things back if you overshoot.
I can't find the original manual, but I thought it warned about over heating the enamel in a kettle. Your grill is made to have hot coals touching the side for a long time. I think you'd have to work pretty hard to melt a PK.
Thanks for your reply! I was thinking of using the devoce to shrink a boat 😅 it may work i guess! This is not something you would do at full blast so I may give it a try!
I can only think of two reasons: 1) most torches of this size require a 20lb tank, but this one can work off a 1lb tank. 3) It's a gun that shoots fire.
@@GrillTopExperience I have been using a weed torch...the gun is nice I just believe its price to high for what it does to something far to simular for a fraction of the price ...if I had nothing better to do with 200 bucks I would perhaps purchase one just for showmanship
Your MAPP gas torch doesn't have the volume of flame this tool outputs. You might be able to approximate that spread with a special flame spreader tip, but then you still won't have that quick trigger feature. Plus, you can still use MAPP gas with the Grill Gun.
I think I’m gonna buy me one of these just in case I feel the need to do some peaceful protesting! I don’t really think that this product is a real good idea.

Thanks, Mitch. I don't think I've had this much fun with a BBQ product either! It's a lot louder than I anticipated.
You must not grill enough with charcoal. Since you're not able to judge the time to start your charcoal. It's not really top experience is it?
SOOOO FUN!!!! This is one of my favorite bbq accessories right now. !!!
Me too! I'm thinking of more ways to use it because it is fun to use.
When did Daniel Larusso start a review channel?
Amazing grill gun Ryan 👍 Thanks 🌸🌿💝

@@GrillTopExperience I know 😄 you are so lucky to have this wonderful grill gun✌️I can’t even dream of having one😂😂😂
I have one. Everything is great. Only one thing i hate about it is when you release the max power it catches your skin. And sometimes its painful.
Yikes! I'll watch out for that.

Ok, now I want a Grill Gun. Plus, the steak came out killer. Nice review.
Thanks, Josh, and congrats on the nuptials!
can it be powered by the small 1lb camping tanks ?
Yes, that is how most people use it.

@@GrillTopExperience Yeah, that's the thing. I don't think I've seen any that gets this hot

I’m getting one. Can’t wait.
Nice. Enjoy it!
How hot does the gun get? Scared if it can burn through my pk cast aluminum grill?

Loving mine. I'll be sharing it soon. I hope you and the family are doing well.
Awesome. I can't wait to see what you do with it. It is a lot louder than I expected!
can it be powered by the small 1lb camping tanks ?
Im wondering, how long can you last with a 1lbs bottle?
It'll freeze up after two minutes, but it's a 400,000 btu torch. That's about 5 minutes for one pound at full blast.
Thanks for your reply!

For sure! You can turn it way down. You'll have to see if that is enough. It sounds like a hot air balloon at full blast.
I want this for heating up my dab nail!!!!
hi all, where can I get this in South Africa
They had a blurb about international shipping on their site. I'm not sure if they ship to South Africa or not. Search for grill blazer.
Dear Elon Musk, this is still a better flamethrower than the joke you produced.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing when I took it out of the box.
Where do I buy one
I've only seen them on GrillBlazer.com
why over spend? and get the same result with a weed burner for under 30 bucks

$150.....please. $50 gets you a mapp gas torch, has worked for me for many many years.

lol wank nuuts i have two "map" (you cant get propadiene anymore ya wank nuts) torches and am still buying a grillgun
The only type of gun i would ever consider owning :) Cool toy
You should still follow the same kinds of rules though. Keep it pointed in a safe direction! Thanks, Lars.
If you like new toys for $150.00 go ahead and buy it.
The torch from the freight by the harbor is cheaper, but not nearly as much fun.
Bruh this is just mini flamethrower lol
It was loud enough that the neighbor kids got quiet when I fired it off!
Lose the DRM garbage and I would have to give yo a thumbs down.
I think I’m gonna buy me one of these just in case I feel the need to do some peaceful protesting! I don’t really think that this product is a real good idea.
Why is that?
Peaceful protesting with a flamethrower. Lemme guess. You were one of those guys that stormed the Capitol on 1/6.
