- May is such a beautiful time in the garden. My May GARDEN TOUR (Backyard) | Getting caught in the RAIN video shows just how much has opened up and is looking gorgeous right now! I show you all the beauties that look amazing right now, like my hostas, daisies, and hydrangea.
Even though I checked the forecast, I still found myself getting caught in the rain during this tour, lol. Weather here on the coast, in Wilmington NC, can be unpredictable, no doubt. It was a fun Mother's Day garden tour :)
My name is Nicole Roggeman, and I garden in coastal North Carolina in zone 8B. Please enjoy this May garden tour, and we'll see what's new at the next one. Happy Mother's Day!!
What a lovely way to start my day with so much beauty and positiv energy, thank you!💚
Awe, and thank YOU! 💚☀
Hi Nichole, i’m playing catch-up with your videos. Thank you for the mother’s da greeting. I’m the proud mother of a forty (40) year old male. I love how excited you are when showing your garden, as you should be because it’s absolutely gorgeous.
You are very sweet and I appreciate this message so much! Always great to hear from you!
Beautiful garden. I love that you talk so fast and move right along on the tour. I watch a lot of gardening videos and sometimes I want to tell the gardeners to speed it up. My garden is on the MA coast so your tour was a nice preview of what’s coming to mine in June and July
Thank you so much for this message! I know what you mean about lengthy talkers - it can be too much 😂 Wishing you a great gardening season in coastal MA! 💚

Thanks Nicole for your May garden tour. (even in the rain) I like dahlias also. I started new ones this spring and they seem to be doing well in the area
that I chose. I am excited to see your lilies when they are in full bloom. See you next time. Take care from southern Illinois

Thank you!
Loved the tour ❤
Thank you so much! 💚
Man you are busy but it looks fantastic. Have always had that wisteria? I’m not a big fan cause it seems to grow really fast and take over and hard to keep it from spreading once in the ground. But you seem to have it under control
Hi there! I've had the wisteria about 5 years now. This is the Amethyst Falls, which is American and not invasive. Of course other kinds are super invasive, so I'm assuming that's the reason for my success. 🙂 Thanks for reaching out!
@@mycarolinagarden good to know thanks
I followed your advice and planted canna lilies. Now I want a banana tree 😂😂😂
Haha! There is nothing like the tropical look of those babies together! Plus, invest in them this year, and have 2x (probably 4x) the amount next year! 😁
@@mycarolinagarden which ones are those? Hardy banjoo banana tree? Did u buy them locally? Looking to buy one
@salomeantonmcclellan5067 Yes, those are the ones. I got mine at Lowe's but I've seen them in other places locally as well.
Do you have a problem with worms boring into your canna lilies? They are areal problem for me, having to watch them all summer. We live just out of Goldsboro. I enjoy your videos
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. They seem to be on some and not others. Dang the bugs though, right? My biggest culprits are aphids in my garden, though I just noticed my first japanese beetle today! What do you do for the worms on your cannas?
Pick off but then they have already ruined the leaf they were in and I spray good cannas with seven spray, hate them worms, hah!!
@bettystone8128 you're so right! They ruin the leaves, which is so annoying!!
Are those banjoo banana trees?
How did you overwinter your bougainvillea?
I have a greenhouse. It still bloomed in there over the winter, too 🤩
I live in New Bern....are you close?
About 1.5 hours away I think
