Paying thousands of dolars for that screan tearing... oh my god, what a pity
Hello KLGadgetTV, and those who watch your videos. Good video.
You already have approximately 2 year that you tested this GT83VR laptops.
The question are:
1. Does the laptop still work well?
2. What did you think of the mechanical keyboard, does it work well, do you like it or not anymore?
3. Is it overheated?
4. Does not that laptop fail (screen, ram, memory, etc.?
Thanks for your response. It's because they sell me one at a low cost
did you get it as a gift from MSI ? (because I'm planning to make a channel too)
+Mr fifa world No, we loaned it for review purposes
Does it have 4K display like gt73vr?
that's a lot of money.
doesnt worth.
wow 21K MYR that was ridiculous but worth it.
the laptop display is 1080p, but if you link it up with a 4k monitor, it will display in 4k.
Not a bad review at all! Would be better if you could include thermals during idle and under loads though. Any chance to review the ASUS GL502VS or the MSI GT72VR?
The predator 21x is better
Here in Brazil, this notebook is 30k! haha
+The Barbara Haha, it's an expensive notebook alright!
expensive for all...but, The predator x21 thats perfect!
can i able to buy this from Brazil in 30k ?
#KLGadgetTV Yes I'll be getting mine soon (in Australia) Model GT83VR-6RE-075AU but mine only has 2 x 1070's. And it would be great if it had a 4k screen as well but MSI told me that no one makes them so if you want a 4k screen either get the GT73VR Titan SLI or hook up an additional screen !
#KLGadgetTV Ps. also mine only has a 256GB SSD if I buy another SM921 256GB I know I can slot it into the top next to the other 1 but will windows 10 recognize it and add it or do I need to do something to help it be recognize ????
OMG! The size!
GT83S, SLI, with two 256GB PCIe SSDs in Super RAID 4 and 1TB 7200 rpm HDD. Same processor, graphic cards, bluray, etc but has 64GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM. Got today for $3,399 but got $400 rebate so $2,999! And comes with MSI backpack and 2 year warranty.
where have you buy it in this price?
+George Margaritopoulos It was on sale at B&H with rebates.
There are multiple models of the GT83S: SLI-023, SLI-055, and SLI-024 -- Which one did you get? Because the only one that's around $3,399 is the GT83VR TITAN SLI-023, which has the 1070's not the 1080's.
Going from memory, which is scary, probably the 1070. There is a huge jump from 1060 to 1070. 1070 to 1080, not so much.
I pay it from Dubai in 2018 ...
6000€
Remove the useless optical disc drive, replace the shoddy 60hz screen with a 120hz screen, enable Gsync and just give it one GTX1080, and hey presto - you've got a much more sensible, reasonable and efficient gaming laptop. Why couldn't MSI have just done this?
They have, with the GT73's -- They don't have optical drives, they use the 17inch (which you can get as 4k or 1080p with 120Hz&G-Sync), and they have multiple models with either 1070, 1080, or 1070(SLI). -- The drawback being they don't feature a mechanical keyboard because these models use 18.4inch displays, and no one makes a panel that's 120Hz in that size.
KommandantKavu Yeah, I know of the GT73. I just wish they would make one with a larger screen, like 18.4 inches as with the GT83. I'm hoping in future they can make 18.4 inch displays with 120hz and Gsync.
building a gaming desktop is not cheaper than a gaming laptop because it doesn't have a gsync screen. and it's not portable.
Even with the monitor you can make a very powerful pc at a lower cost. Yes pc's aren't very portable, but aside from some fringe instances, why would you need a powerful laptop? For me I do all of my "core" gaming at home anyways.
xXHoTAXx WHo would want to play games with v-sync seriously? Can't deal with that input lag and tearing from my experience.
I would want a powerful gaming laptop because I'm here in Thailand for holiday so if I didn't have a gaming laptop it would be boring over here as I stay home in my country alot staying here for 7 weeks i'm glad I bought a gaming laptop with me to keep me company :)
Bro apa ini sudah support 120 Gsync ?
