CP 2816 The Empress on the mainline just east of Brandon,MB

Wanted to see the historic CP 2816 The Empress in motion as it returns home to Calgary. This is the second time seeing it in person on the CPKC Final Spike Tour that saw it travel all the way to Mexico City….the only time in history a steam locomotive has travelled between Canada, United States and Mexico.
We chose RD 75W at an uncontrolled crossing just West of Sidney,MB.
This experience did not disappoint as it was travelling at over 70 km/hr
