- I'm so glad to be back in the kitchen cooking new recipes for my family and so happy to share those with you! I've missed y'all! This week I've got 3 dinners and a dessert for you. 2 of the dinners are in the Crockpot and were so easy and amazing!! The other dinner idea came from Falon over at @Moss Family TV . DISHPAN COOKIES (I did half this recipe - it made a little over 3 dozen)
4 cups AP flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups cooking oil (I used veg. oil)
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1.5 cups quick cooking oats
4 cups corn flakes
In a very large bowl or pan, combine sugars, oil, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Blend and sift flour, baking soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture, mixing thoroughly. Blend in oats and corn flakes. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes in 325 degree oven.
April's notes: Don't overbake these!! She does 3 minutes on bottom rack and 3 on top. If additional time is needed, just monitor closely. You don't want hard dishpan cookies.
My note: My oven wasn't doing the job at 325. I had to increase mine to 350.

Did you teach your husband how to give feedback on your meals? He does such an awesome job of being very specific on his descriptions. All my husband ever says is, it's good.

Mine too, that leaves me to point out the obvious, he thinks I’m putting down my cooking. When I release my pot I put a towel over it, 1 it scares my dog and 2 if something sprays it sprays into the towel instead of the counter
He’s a pro? Probably learned from guy fieri on DDD ! 😊
LOL Yes I feel you girl !! My husband and I both cook, he always ask me how is it. If I don't make a Big deal he just gives me a side grin. LOL 🙂

My granny always made dishpan cookies. She mixed it all up in a dishpan she had just for these cookies since it makes such a large batch. Only difference is she added coconut into her batter. They are awesome. Sure miss my granny and so glad to see you share your subscribers recipe for these.

The Moss Family is a hoot! Here in South Eastern NC we say Pea-cans as in a sweet pea and a can of vegetables lol. No puh-khans. Or pea-khans. I know it doesn't sound proper, it's just the way we say it. 🤓 It really doesn't matter how you say it, as long as you enjoy them. And boy do I. I can eat a bag all by myself. They're better than potato chips!
They are sooooo good!
This is in no way a criticism but, I find it interesting that, in the US, you say half but one fourth, I don't know what it's called in other countries, in the UK we say a quarter.
I love watching your videos. Because I'm 70 and on my own, I rarely make any of the meals I watch but, I still love watching, especially the interaction between you and your lovely family.

That chicken dish with the pecans sounds AMAZING! It is almost like a mustard chicken dish. I am not a fan of sweet potatoes but after Cole said he liked it, I want to try this. The stubbier supper sounds great too, I love anything made in the crock!

Well, Mandy!!! I'm so glad this video came up even though it was a year ago! ALL these dishes and dessert looks so delicious and scrumptious 😍😋! I think I have everything for both chicken dishes but don't have the sweet potatoes or corn flakes. With it being near Christmas in your video of course it is the beginning of Nov and in Ohio it is still warm at least today. Not complaining. We have a project outside we need to finish. I will have to make these very soon!!!!!

Hi Mandy! I enjoy this channel so much! Decided to try the Tomato Basil Chicken for supper tonight. I doubled the sauce ingredients and used Rotisserie chicken pieces. I also used evaporated milk and 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes. Wow it tasted great! The only other change was the addition of 1 tablespoon chicken bone broth concentrate to mellow out the tomato flavor- thanks for this recipe... next will try the cookies!

Dishpan cookies: Dishpan Cookies. They are super simple cookies…no chilling the dough or anything crazy like that. Just mix ’em up and bake them and you’re good to go. Put some chocolate chips on top so they look pretty. They bake up all crackly on top.
