“Sheep only need a single flock, but people need two: one to belong to and make them feel comfortable, and another to blame all of society’s problems on.” ~ James Rozoff
His suicide never made sense to me. He was one of the best comedians of the time even if he was underrated. But watching this video makes my tinfoil hat vibrate
Mine too. Sadly he never believed his time would come. I wish he was still crushing it. He coincidentally died in the manner of one of his greatest bits. Having such a bad day that you can’t even kill yourself properly. RIP Richard Jeni
Carlin did a great bit "7 Dirty Words that You Can't Say on TV" on the first show of SNL in the 1970's (I love reruns). I like Richard Pryor and Paul Mooney (both of them came before before Eddie Murphy) too. Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller were all great. Lenny Bruce was before my time: I wanted to the the Dustin Hoffman bio pic on him. (Lisa Lampanelli was similar to Rickles.) Mort Sahl (I saw on youtube videos), Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Lewis Black, Ricky Gervais, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, Larry Wilmore, Dave Chapelle, Carlos Mencia, George Lopez, Katt Williams and Eddie Griffin are all good too. (Sam Kinison (the "religious" screaming "pastor," R.I.P.); Andrew "Dice" Clay..ok, I guess. I do miss Craig Ferguson and David Letterman on the late night talk show circuit.)
He was big in an era where internet and social media didn't exist. Also he only had 1 or 2 shows that were on DVD, add the fact that he tragically passed away makes it hard for people to discover his content unfortunately
that's why I'm a libertarian now. I am conservative but I'm for gay marriage, legalized medical marijuana, and pro-life (Life for the baby but also for the mother)
If you are calling yourself a label, you are pretty much a hypocrite. Why not support policies and laws themselves and not a money making group whose sole purpose is to destroy checks and balances put in to our system to keep nutballs from gaining control of all 3 branches and destroying the constitution.
And how has being a librarian worked out for you LOL.... I love conservative people who are for gay marriage and saving the whales.... If I wasn't such a flaming liberal I would be conservative too!
Fuckin Love Richard - and as a Brooklyn Goomba myself - how could I not? Just wish he didn't check himself out early like he did. Would've loved to have seen him live. RIP Brother and when the good Lord reincarnates your ass for another go around at perfection - just don't forget to bring the FUNNY back with ya' again Goomba!
"These tiki-torchin', all lives matterin', slur-coveting, Asian-beating, sea lioning, QAnoning, insurrecting, mask-rejecting, uterus-regulatin' hypocrites... That's why you gotta go to the far left. Buncha pronoun-inventin', safe-spacin', narrative-forcin', context-ignoring, woking, white women-prioritizin' hypocrites..."
Right to life doesn't mean all life must be treated equally. It's in the US constitution that life and liberty are guaranteed but may be denied but for something called due process of law. That's why we have prisons, where the worst of people rot and might never leave. That's a denial of life. One step further is capital punishment. When you can consider it "humane" sometimes to kill a baby and "humane" to kill an animal but NEVER a horrific criminal adult human, I think you have the hypocrisy. Prisons are torture chambers. It's humane to sometimes put down a monster. Sentencing them to die slowly and miserably isn't exactly a good deed, you're lying to yourself that you're not that evil.
Yes! He gives the perfect example of the extremists left-wingers, that are non-violent, freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah, until you say something that PISSES them off! Yea, perfect example...look at the rioting in D.C.! (You hit that right, Richard!
I see this was posted 3 years ago and look at the writing we have now in 2020.... It's gotten worse. When will people realize that riots are filled with negative energy and people get so pissed off nothing good can come out of it
Great bit! I do find myself with opinions that do vary greatly from left to right... On the Right, I draw a hard line in the sand as soon as someone starts heading towards the Alt-Right Ethno-State philosophy. On the Left, I draw a hard line in the SNOW as soon as someone starts talking about Wealth Redistribution. Oh... and be very vary of so-called "Libertarians" that claim they're in the middle... odds are they're very much on the Far-Right or Far-Left, and just feel as though the current status quo has singled them out specifically.
Carlin was a major influence on Richard jeni .....Richard jeni is so smart and so brilliant that he carved out the right to the title as one of the top comic geniuses of all time. He and Carlin were both amazing comedians and I view them as equals.....each infinitely brilliant and unique in their own right
Uhhhh.... Have you been living under a rock? This was filmed many years ago, and Richard Jenni has been dead for over 7 years.... Doubtful he stole bits from anyone. Richard was also a huge name in the standup world.... If he had stolen material, it probably would have come to light.... Carlos Mencia is a great example.
Christine Poff Whatever you say. Though Carlin has been around since black & white TV. I guess most people are, sadly, a rip off of some else's persona.
I would say similar in style, but not a rip off per se, as I've seen other comedians do. Jeni really was a genius, I loved the way he strung sentences together and created a tone. I've admired his work for a LONG time. #RIP
One of the most underrated comedians of all time. I miss his comedy very much.
Found this by listening to Joe Rogan... didn't regret it.. sums up politics nicely
Chris Byrne Same here, this bit was spot on.
Same here. Except now it’s 2021 and rogan is talking with Jim bruer. About jeni. This bit was true of politics back then and it’s even truer today.
Same lol
Can this be any more relevant? Joe Rogan brought Ms here
same here 😁
I think he managed to offend everyone . Good job!
equality
Just like G.Carlin......hehe love it Rest In Peace to both of them
Lol ....hilarious! Richard jeni woulda loved your comment!
@@mutagenooze
Hating everyone equally.
Richard Jeni & George Carlin would have been a lovely pair to deliver a thermonuclear level roasting session on today's political circus

❤🎉❤
He's been dead almost 17 years and his words in this video are still true.
I got to see him live. He was amazing. One of my favorites. 🙏
I wish I saw him live. What year did you see him in ?
Saw him at the improv in Tempe Az . My wife and I laughed so hard our faces hurt!!!! He passed a few months later. Very talented guy. Very sad.
Awesome how inclusive yet uncompromising this material is, and still funny.
His suicide never made sense to me. He was one of the best comedians of the time even if he was underrated. But watching this video makes my tinfoil hat vibrate
We needed him. Miss comedy
Never gets old! Timeless! Epic! Miss him so much and wish he was still with us. ❤️
I am still in morning. The only thing that helps me is watching him in action. Best and brightest of all time
@@heavnnnsent Try a different spelling :)
Him and Carlin
The best bit on American politics ever. Richard Jeni was a genius.
Ross Dann he was Great!! I could never Understand why he Never Got his Big shot because he was BRILLIANT!!
Then he shot himself.... Still the best bit on American politics ever. Then again, maybe somethin was wrong.
It's "meh". I've seen better
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Sums up politics perfectly for me, I shall be watching this over and over again.
Join the club....this guy is the funniest most brilliant of them all! I like sten to his routines all the time
NAILS IT!!!!! So sad we lost him and so sad he made millions laugh and he was depressed and took his own life.
Saw him at the Brea Improv from the front row many years ago. I was crying. Right up there with Geoege Carlin. RIP to both
My favorite comic of all time. Rest in peace.
Oh yes.... Out of all of the gray comics this guy is my favorite too
Mine too. Sadly he never believed his time would come. I wish he was still crushing it. He coincidentally died in the manner of one of his greatest bits. Having such a bad day that you can’t even kill yourself properly. RIP Richard Jeni
Richard would have a field day with today's mess. RIP.
I miss you, man.
oh how we need this man today
Richard Jeni was the best comedian to ever live. I celebrate his genius often. You are missed, Mr. Jeni!
Heir apparent to Carlin... truly he is deeply missed. Depression and mental illness are no joke :(
I am still in mourning. He was the best out of all of them. He was my comedy good.
rest in peace, Richard Jeni, like Greg Giraldo and Bill Hicks,,
Carlin did a great bit "7 Dirty Words that You Can't Say on TV" on the first show of SNL in the 1970's (I love reruns). And Freddie prinze
How this guy flew under my radar for fifty years makes me concerned about my radar quality 🤔 What a badass tho
Probably because, "a big steaming pile of me (this one)" was actually the apex of his career
He was big in an era where internet and social media didn't exist. Also he only had 1 or 2 shows that were on DVD, add the fact that he tragically passed away makes it hard for people to discover his content unfortunately
Goddamnit Richard Jeni, we need you. RIP
Loved this guy
So sad we lost one of the greatest of all time.
The definition of relevant. Right here.
BRILLIANT so sad he was one of the best.
Saw him live 3 times and every time new material and hilarious
Very good! Thumbs up and Greetings from Ireland! :)
Just as true now as then.
R.I.P. Richard Jeni
Miss him
1:42 the low fake laughter from that statement really proved Richards point there
He nailed it. If we would only come together in the middle. No, everybody has to pick a side. So foolish.
WAY ahead of his time. My word.
We lost a great one.
I miss him.
For some reason seeing a comic without a mic in hand feels weird. I guess TEDTalks really messed with my brain
Without a doubt one of my all time fav comedy routines.
Spot on 👌🏻
Its 2022 and oh man!, how right he was!
GREATEST POLITICAL BIT EVER...IMO👏👏👏👏
This really puts modern day politics in perspective.
That was brilliant.
Deeply missed :( :(
I miss him so much....

Drop his ass at the Fidel Castro building for finding out why America sucks lol. Nobody is ever was or ever will be as funny as this guy
Fuckin Love Richard - and as a Brooklyn Goomba myself - how could I not?
Just wish he didn't check himself out early like he did. Would've loved to have seen him live.
RIP Brother and when the good Lord reincarnates your ass
for another go around at perfection - just don't forget to bring the FUNNY back with ya' again Goomba!
Miss him!
This Progressive Democratic Socialist would like to say thank you sir for putting all of us in our place.
That was PERFECT.
100% TRUTH RIGHT HERE
I inadvertently upset him while I was working as a Production Assistant Intern in college at the NBC Studios.
it is Platypus Man !
Reminds me of when the “BIG THREE” auto makers went to Washington to plea their case on how poor they were in their private jets
Excellent ! :)
this is awesome, thank you .
Saw an episode of the Green Room and Atell spoke highly of him.
Phenomenal.
Hey, the far-right he described doesn't sound that far-right to me. How times have changed
"These tiki-torchin', all lives matterin', slur-coveting, Asian-beating, sea lioning, QAnoning, insurrecting, mask-rejecting, uterus-regulatin' hypocrites... That's why you gotta go to the far left. Buncha pronoun-inventin', safe-spacin', narrative-forcin', context-ignoring, woking, white women-prioritizin' hypocrites..."
0:43 "Right to Life-ing, Lethal Injecting Hypocrites!" Richard hit that one right on the head.
Max Raider but they might have. We may have stopped the next Hitler!
Their view is that babies are innocent while murderes aren't.

You don't get to cherry pick from the act that shows how _everyone_ is a hypocrite
Elayne Boosler's joke was, "Spoken like a true fisherman: Throw them back, get 'em when they're bigger."
Al Gore down-voted this video while watching it on his private jet.
Flying all my himself to a speech about energy conservation!
Leonardo DiCaprio flying in a jet by himself 🤣
He had talent and charisma. So sad that this guy wanted to check out.
I didnt detect a goddamn lie
It’s all true
Brilliant
Perfection
Boy this aged well. Especially the right wing part, though Richard couldn’t have predicted the MAGA movement.
still funny R.I.P.
Oh how it all changed.
Near perfect
Gold
LoL 😂 finally some jokes on everyone. Lately these comics have been all on the left🙄
🤦🏻♀️
ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!
Wonder which side got rid of him, or was it an coordinated effort?
Yes! He gives the perfect example of the extremists left-wingers, that are non-violent, freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah, until you say something that PISSES them off! Yea, perfect example...look at the rioting in D.C.! (You hit that right, Richard!
IMPRISON DRUMPF Shh! What do you think you're doing, can't you see Christopher's got a _narrative_ to push?
Right wingers are so much worse lmao, the ultimate snowflakes
happy holidays ;)
I see this was posted 3 years ago and look at the writing we have now in 2020.... It's gotten worse. When will people realize that riots are filled with negative energy and people get so pissed off nothing good can come out of it
"rioting in dc" aged so well for you rwnjs, lol.
Fantastic!
Aaaaa.... it's like watching redwine
The end of this is about Bernie....
I know a few.
Sounds exactly like Carlin
To live in a world where telling the truth is comedy.
Great bit!
I do find myself with opinions that do vary greatly from left to right...

I'll take that version of far left extremist versus today's "tolerant left"
Came here after listening to Joe Rogan and Jay Leno episode
Delivery was much like George Carlin
And that kids is your crash course in politics😇. Any questions??
genius
the fidel castro building of why america sucks oh lawd
brilliant comic
Brilliant.
Sounds like Carlin
He would have a field day in today's Social Media Rats!😁👍
For the left, he could've added gender switching lol
Hahahahahah rip Richard
😂
This is why we need Andrew Yang...not left, not right...FORWARD #yanggang
he's funny but he's trying to hard to be carlin
Carlin was a major influence on Richard jeni .....Richard jeni is so smart and so brilliant that he carved out the right to the title as one of the top comic geniuses of all time. He and Carlin were both amazing comedians and I view them as equals.....each infinitely brilliant and unique in their own right
George Carlin wants his jokes, timing, voice, and delivery back
yeah might as well grow a beard
Carlin after time just got grumpy. He would rant for long periods of time with almost no jokes.
Let me guess... You're here because of Joe Rogan too?
He rips off George Carlin's tone in addition to ripping off George Carlin's act.
Uhhhh.... Have you been living under a rock? This was filmed many years ago, and Richard Jenni has been dead for over 7 years.... Doubtful he stole bits from anyone. Christine Poff Whatever you say. Though Carlin has been around since black & white TV. I guess most people are, sadly, a rip off of some else's persona.
Well, can't argue with you there. 😉
I'd rather not see it as a rip off but as influence. Each artist and comedian has got inspiration from someone else.
I would say similar in style, but not a rip off per se, as I've seen other comedians do. Jeni really was a genius, I loved the way he strung sentences together and created a tone. I've admired his work for a LONG time. #RIP
weak, s bit with no personality, i'm glad he ganked himself
it is Platypus Man !
