      I wouldn't say he's been underrated... In the 80's he was on the radio constantly! And any classic rock station would've been playing him alot since then...

    I’ve been a Seger fan for nearly 45 years, all the albums and still listen regularly. The photo you mention is the album cover from his 2nd major release album, titled Night Moves. Famous Final Scene, Turn The Page, Mainstreet, Night Moves, Brave Strangers, Ship of Fools, Against the Wind, Like a Rock and Fire Lake to name a few you will enjoy. Each different in a unique way, he never sounds the same.

    Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet band is what they used to refer as Northern Rock. The Allman Bros. and Lynrd Skynrd are Southern Rock. Both are great, but it's interesting to listen to them side by side. You can hear the country influence on Southern Rock.

    You’re exactly right, he’s talking about the world of Prostitution.
    Hey here’s a couple more Seger songs to check out.”Get Out of Denver”. I’d recommend the live version from his Live Bullet album. The live “Turn The Page” from Live Bullet is sick.
    And from The Bob Seger System, check out “2+2”. It’s an anti Vietnam war song. It’s killer.

I would've watched the day u posted it had I known about it! This should have WAY more views by now... it's freaking BOB SEGER!!! Anyway... "Her Strut", "Beautiful Loser", and "Old Time Rock and Roll" which was in the movie Risky business with Tom Cruise are just a few more of his hits.... I'm sure you've heard and/or seen the iconic movie scene where a young Tom Cruise slides down the hall in his whitey tighties. Bob Seger has tons of hits and is a hell of a musician all around!! Ad YES... this song was about exactly what u thought and how the businessmen, lawyers, judges and the cops all had ONE thing in common... the fire down below. Peace...

    I never interpreted it as being about prostitution. To me, it was just more about how the one thing that all people have in common is sexual desire. Not just for money. Sometimes for love, sometimes for pleasure, sometimes for revenge, sometimes for loneliness, etc. etc.

    • @Brandon-th4xx
      @Brandon-th4xx 3 года назад +1

      All you got to have his green? It's not about prostitution? What

    • @singingwordwright148
      @singingwordwright148 2 года назад +2

      I think the line "All you got to have is green" pretty much seals the notion that it's about prostitution. I mean, you're right that it's about sexual desire being a common trait between all these different types of men, but I think they're picking up hookers.

    Your theory is so close...Yes, it's about prostitutes, but he is saying all the different men (and I'm sure women too) that come and go, slip into darkness and out of sight, only have one thing in common with each other and that is the Fire Down Below! All of Bob's songs are about the ladies in some way! "HER STRUT" is different and amazing!! It's on his "Against The Wind" album.
