It's exciting to hear that this works and may help slow down or stop myopia's progression.
I'm 57... I wish Orthokeratology was around when I was a kid! I reached -13 dioptres and had LASIK back in 1999, with a doctor who apparently didn't care much about the long-term negative consequences of (radically) thinning my cornea.

What is MK? You say the rise of MK with OrthoK, but you don't say what MK stands for. 🤔

It slowed it down because they weren’t getting 20/20 on ortho-k. Which is good for the eye to not be fully corrected 100% of the time

Woo University - Doctor(s) I'm going to stick my big nose in as an older patient and tell you about my experiences.
I tried it in 2014 (in California) the doctor who is renowned (and talented) lost interest and didn't make a second pair; this was one of those, "we give you one shot if it works great, if not no charge" It barely worked, though on two days I enjoyed 20-20. No go.
I started getting moderate cataract in January 2018. Tremendous eyestrain, particularly with glasses. Exhausting. Not quite ready to have cataracts plucked.
Paid a small fortune in Washington state it took a full year, but reliable 20/15 (not my guess, per eye exams). I've had 2020 since about 8 months in but it would fade badly. No fade now, sometimes lasts for 36 hours.
I spoke to a dude with four diopters age 23, who tried it at age 13. At month four he was ready to pack it in. He waited for one more week - boom. Extraordinary vision. He doesn't know why he gave it an extra week but is eternally grateful he did.
My non-professional opinion is that doctors in the states saying 2 months to see if it works, are cutting treatment WAY too short. I think European patients are probably more patient. I also spoke to a guy in New Zealand who really knows his Ortho-K and he said he never tells his patients two months is adequate. If he sees NO improvement or scant improvement, maybe he calls it off but said two months is much too soon.
I realize few ON EARTH would have patience for a year like me. I was seriously thinking "well, you had some great days but it fades too quick." Then a month ago, I noticed it wasn't fading. At all. Sometimes lasts for 36 hours.
My case is miraculous. I can even drive at night safely without a backup pair of "lower-powered" script "driving glasses."
    All the best.

Hey ive been wearing orthoK for a month. My left eye is minus 7 and astigmatism 1 and my right eye is minus 2.5 and astigmatism 1. Tbh i can see much clearer now tho sometimes i see double vision and dispersed object. Or perhaps it's effect of my eyes still in premature period. My myopia on my left eye is 3.75 and right eye is 1.5 and fixed my astigmatism.
