- Well, here we go again once again spending four figures on another 2023 Panini NFL product. Today we're ripping Spectra First off the Line which comes with a guaranteed booklet auto and one card numbered to /11, plus three other autos and four memorabilia.
2023 Panini Football has been incredibly rough with the lack of CJ Stroud autos, and with the nosebleed price points it's incredibly difficult to make your money back. Let's see if anything is different with one of my favorite looking sets of the year.

@@iwiozYepp. Went to the LCS on Friday and the cheapest 2023 panini football product they had was R&S for $440. What a ripoff. Instead got a leaf pro set metal box for $180 and pulled a Bryce young blue ice /7 and an Eric Dickerson portrait auto /5. No logos but I’m not a child I’m really just here for the autos and short printed inserts… and here’s the kicker, you can pull stroud autos in leaf products 😆

Thanks for taking one for the team with this product. I'm just starting looking into collecting sports cards and videos like this definitely helps me to understand what generally is and isn't sought after and the different types of lingo (RPA, on-sticker autos, game worn, etc).
Walk away you'll be disappointed with anything from Panini hobby Box opening its a crime for the prices they charge

Yeah. The more vids I see about Panini, the more disappointing it seems. Like even with NFL Impeccable that's 1.4k a box you still get non-game worn and sticker autos...
I'll still continue to look into the upcoming releases, though.

I remember when these came out and they were $250 and you would only get like $100 back. That was way better than over $1000 and getting $150 or so

Football they only have 16 games a year vs basketball or baseball. But I have seen non associated patches in emenice football at 20k a box.😢

Gorgeous cards, if only they were on card and game worn, then it might be worth the money. I usually collect a base set and a /99 set from a few products a year. Always liked spectra for that.

Spectra is probably my favorite product. These prices have driven me out of the hobby. Just not fun anymore. I shall live vicariously through RGL.
Seems rough for 1k plus, booklets look nice, however still should have better hits

I just started collecting this year with my 7 year old son. This is a much different hobby than it used to be, but the payback for the cost of this stuff is rediculous. I don't see how any of this is sustainable in the medium to long term. I am succesfull professional who will not buy the higher end stuff like this. Who the hell is buying things to lose money. I don't think it is possible to make money on this box.
Crazy how u can get 2021 for cheaper or the same as 2023...especially when the biggest chase has no autos in most 2023 panini

BTW if someone want a good ROI, put $1000 in stock index fun, better ROI after one year for sure. My ROI in the hobby is for the fun and joy it brings my son and I.
RGL, Id love to know where off a Zay Flowers Jersey that patch came off of cause last I check the number 4 has no curved edges like that. I mean at least they could make the patches match the persons jersey #🤦♂️

The fact that you get watered down Auto's and Mems that arent even player worn all for 1k is abit absurb whether the ceiling is high or not.
I hear everyone saying panini is falling off and how bad 2023 football has taken a hit but panini is charging more for every set than ever before with no big autos and there still selling out if people feel that way they shouldn't keep supporting panini and stop buying there stuff

Spectra has never been my favorite set anyway if I'm honest, but the draw for this set has really only been the RPA's, the low number parralels dont move things much. No RPA's of some of the best guys kinda makes this pointless, doubly so at this price

The fact that you need a case hit to break even on these boxes and people still buy them is just stupid. Everyone cries about the cost of unopened products but yet they still buy it. If no one bought this crap for a year then prices would drop.

I was a big collector in 2016 to 2018. I was a good buddy with a guy that owned a card shop. I worked there part time. I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that player worn mems are complete BS.
We went to events and no name players would throw a jersey on and then take it right off. Is it player worn? Yes it is. Is it worn by the player on the card you get? No.
Unless you get topps baseball with the holographic sticker that shows actual game used, you are getting scammed.
Dont believe me if you want. Im out of the sports card game. If you wanna buy a box of cards for 1000 bucks, go ahead. Just know you are getting scammed 😂
