- With less than two weeks until Christmas, the race to the holidays is on! If you’re still scrambling to get your shopping done, you may not have a lot of time left. Inside Edition’s investigation team conducted a test to see how long packages would take to be delivered with express shipping versus standard shipping. Nine out of the 10 packages sent with express shipping arrived at an Inside Edition producer’s house within one to two business days. Inside Edition’s Lisa Guerrero has more.
I worked at FedEx for 5 years in my hometown of Tuscaloosa, AL and the amount of packages we received to ship in December was crazy. None of the employees were allowed to take a vacation on that month.

I'm very sorry. I ordered packages because I didn't have car. However, I ordered them earlier than December. My mom and I went to shoppings. Honestly, Shoppings can help me to have ideas for gifts. I feel awful for employees. 😔
Feeling sorry for those that work at FedEx, UPS, Amazon etc. I did all of my Christmas shopping online but early around Black Friday & Cyber Monday because I don't have a car. Only time I in person shopped for was for my church's gift giving tree.

Pro tip, don't wait until the last minute to shop online. 1 snowstorm could shut down any major hub. I used to work for fedex and the last week before Christmas was so busy you couldn't get everything delivered that day.

It's best to shop early like in November right after Thanksgiving and Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals pop up. I do that every year to be sure my packages arrive on time to be under the tree and we put up the tree right after Thanksgiving.
Or start Christmas shopping between July & November.

I did the same thing for the first time & I have never Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopped before & majority of my packages of Christmas gifts have arrived so far.
Yeah, USPS doesn’t handle packages carefully…in my experience.

Fortunately for me, I did my Christmas shopping way earlier than my relatives. I had ordered a total of 6 Christmas gifts this year.

or just go buy everything in person… that’s the most efficient way to shop imo.
My usps lady has been throwing all my packages. 3 things have been broken. I left a polite note (I even said merry Christmas) and a chair and she did it worse after. Then she left a package that looked like she ran it over on purpose….and now she hasn’t even delivered regular mail in 3 days. She is doing it on purpose. I don’t know what to do about it, but I’ve lived in my neighborhood since the 90s and never had a problem like this before. Mail carriers used to care about their job. I hate Shreveport

I pay for the 48hr guarantee and I usually get my packages under the next 18 hours, when the 24hr guarantee is 66% more expensive 😅

3 to 5 business days is not accurate with Fedex and UPS. It took 7 days for some of the items.
