For many years I did social and family support work with aboriginal families in Alberta, so I can say from first-hand experience that not only were they my favourite families to work with, they were more engaged, worked harder, and had greater success, than any other group. I felt then, and do now as well, that the trust they placed in me and the respect and friendship they showed me were the biggest compliments of my life.
