Always accuse others of what your doing. Thats one of the rules if wish to be corrupt. Its why they keep winning. They control the language. They will bring more tyranny than they already have.
He did defend his own actions. They talked about the billions they put towards veterans and the new pension plan, and how taking one quote out of context doesn't make sense. The conservatives just ignored the facts.
justin trudeau has not once in the history of the chamber responded to a question. whenever asked a question or presented a fact, he accuses the previous gouvernment or talk about unrelated good things he says his gouvernement did. that or correct people on the use of gender in their speech
Don't exaggerate. He answers more questions then the vast majority of politicians in his position, and the gender thing was an obvious joke. The problem is when his opponent, Scheer, constantly asks loaded questions that deliberately imply false accusations. Scheer: "Why do you eat babies?" Trudeau: "... I don't eat babies." Conservative Headline: Trudeau refuses to answer question about why he ate babies.
Adam AMBM the gender thing was absolutely not a joke he was dead serious. And sure he "answers" the question but with a response that tries to distract you from your own question.
Because the conservatives ask loaded questions that assume facts and accusations that are false. Its a cowardly tactic. "Have you stopped eating babies?" "What?" "ANSWER THE QUESTION!"
Alright, fair, that is one. However, what I don't like this the following: Cons "why are you turning you're back on veterans when we are trying to help them?" Libs: "We aren't, we are putting billions towards their programs, you were the ones who stripped them." Cons:" you didn't answer our question!" Repeat for calling the Sajjan (a retired military commander and hero) anti military and a liar, accusing Morneau of insider trading for using information that was available to everyone, constantly using Khadr against Trudeau when the issue started years before he was elected, etc. etc. Its all twisting words and ignoring facts.
Also, (and sorry for two replies) with the ethics commissionaire, Trudeau did say he had met them multiple times. Is it possible he just doesn't know the exact number of times they met, and it really doesn't matter? Again, Scheer is using it to imply an accusation he knows is false and constantly bring up a manufactured issue. Its more twisting words.
I think you misunderstood the Khadr thing. Trudeau didn't get Khadr out of jail, he was already out of jail when he was elected, and its questionable if he was a terrorist as his conviction was based on a confession that was tortured out of him and later determined not to be valid by the Supreme Court of Canada. What happened under Trudeau was that Khadr sued the government (initially Harper's government) based on the Supreme Court verdict that determined his rights were violated and the Canadian government didn't do its part. At the time, no one questioned the Supreme Courts decision, as he was basically a kid who was pulled off the street, tortured, and sent to prison while denying the accusations. Initially he asked for 20 million, and after fighting it for several years and spending some 4 million on court fees, the government determined there was no way to win and it was cheaper to reach a settlement then keep fighting and probably lose. That is how these trials generally end as court fees end up in the millions of dollars themselves. They ended up giving him half what he asked for and an appology. The controversy came over whether the government did enough to fight it, which they counter by saying they spend years and millions fighting the claim and were losing anyway. Also, from the perspective of the court, it wasn't a question over whether or not he was a terrorist, but if the government ignored his rights, which the Supreme Court determined he did.
That may be true, but he later denied it, and I don't take any confession made under duress to be fair. Either way, however, it would seem to me the question isn't over what he did but what the government did. For example, if the police pulled someone off the street without a warrant and beat him into confessing to be a murderer, then threw him in prison, he would sue as well. The debate wouldn't be 'perhaps he was actually a murderer,' it would be over whether he was beaten and thrown in prison illegally. Same rule applies here, even if the initial accusation is worse. He was arrested as a child, tortured, and thrown in prison illegally. The trial was over that, not the accusations of terrorism which were already been looked at by the Supreme Court. Also, I'll thank you for the same and for acknowledging it. I find discussion these days is filled with far too much swearing and insults, a long with people who call anyone who tries to keep it based on facts 'crybabies/snowflakes' or 'anti freedom of speech.' I tend to reply in the manner the other person speaks.
I hate the smug look on everyone's faces and propagandized questions and answers. I've always thought that question period in Canada is shameful, the way both sides clearly and endlessly misrepresent facts or straight up lie, it's crazy. Everyone comments about hating Trudeau, but I feel like there should be some about the colossal waste of time this whole proceeding is. If someone makes a non-question, question or doesn't answer said question, they should just be thrown out. If someone incorrectly states a fact to back up their question or answer, they should be thrown out. There should be some actual accountability to the taxpayers to not just be an insult-slinging competition.
This is correct. Both sides acting foolish, it's embarrassing to the whole the country. Pretending it wasn't exactly the same under the previous government is also just silly. Fix the whole charade with a high school teacher filling in for the speaker, and given autonomy to get these children under control.
I would absolutely love that to happen, it would be phenomenal to have that here in the UK; I suspect if we had the slippery buggers would just claim all those fines or their parliamentary expenses.
@@SL92018 that's laughable. Have you seen the 17 minute long video of Trudeau ignoring every single question he was asked about how many times hes visited with the ethics commissioner?

Why is he attacking conservatives instead of defending his own actions?

EVERYBODY SEEMS TO HAVE IT IN FOR THE PRIME MINISTER
TOWN HALLS DON'T WORK,RALLIES DON"T WORK WHEN ONE
PREACHES MUCH MUCH MORE THAN ONE LISTENS BUT iI
If the liberals don’t like when the conservatives make statements, how about answering a question when it gets asked then?
Only the Janitor would be left 🤣
Nobody will understand Politics.
This is correct. Both sides acting foolish, it's embarrassing to the whole the country. Pretending it wasn't exactly the same under the previous government is also just silly.
