    Hi! I adopted a plant-based way of eating 6 years ago; the journey began because of my health but is now about that and so much more! It's an amazing, nourishing and cruelty-free way of life and I am so thankful! Just found your channel and am enjoying your videos so much! I will be making the oat and sweet potato based cheese and trying your pizza crust soon--thank you so much!!!! Blessings from Florida.

    I am so glad to have found your channel, everything looks so delicious especially how you add potatoes to everything! I love potatoes and definitely will try that lasagna with the minced meat. In one of your recipes I think I noticed an electric pressure cooker in the background, I just got one and I do love it, but would definitely benefit from having more vegan recipes using this awesome tool! I have been in front of the computer for too long playing one recipe episode after another, so enjoying your channel. Keep up the good work! Thanks

      xXx_Katherine_xXx It makes two pizzas. It depends if you are normally big eaters. We normally have one to two pizzas each... but we are BIG eaters :-) It also depends on what toppings you put on and if you are having anything with it. They are quite hearty bases though :-)

    • @Jonatone
      @Jonatone 8 лет назад +7

      +Jane Willow from what I know oats are gluten free themselves but most are grown in the same fields and processed much of the time on the same equipment as other grains thus becoming cross contaminated. Just to clarify..

    • @PeaceOutWorld
      @PeaceOutWorld 8 лет назад +1

      Oats are gluten free if they are processed on equipment that has not also processed gluten containing grains (like wheat of course).

    • @magicsupamoggie
      @magicsupamoggie 8 лет назад

      Oats contain avenin, which is a protein similar to gluten. However, research has shown that most people with coeliac disease can safely eat avenin.

    • @lizchong888
      @lizchong888 8 лет назад

      Jane Willow oat is gluten free. some not claimed as gluten free due to the same plant processes also wheat. it's contaminated.. that's why they call it non gluten free

    • @magicsupamoggie
      @magicsupamoggie 8 лет назад

      Oats do not contain gluten but a gluten like substance called avenin which most coeliac sufferers can tolerate.

    This looks so delish! I have 2 quick questions: did you make your quinoa flour? And is this recipe flexible as far as the flour+potato or does the quinoa play a special role, such as crispiness. i really want to do this, I am gluten free as well as vegan so this is a winner. I am still acquiring the taste of quinoa, it has an odd soapy taste to me. If it is really important I will be happy to use it.

    • @cookingwithplants

    • @divaextraordinary

      The food protocol(s) I use does not allow for the use of commercial yeast or nutritional yeast at all (Hippocrates Institute Raw diet and Gerson Therapy diet). So I cannot use it for breads or anything else. I've tasted it before, and of course it tastes good (like all other unhealthy things do too).

      Yes, as long as it grinds it into a nice fine powder - which the vitamix is definitely powerful enough to do :-)

    You're awesome and I've been watching your videos for over two hours now.
    Could you make a vegan cake (cheesecake?) and something with pasta?

    This looks amazing, could you pre cook the base in advance? if so how long would it keep?

      Yes, I mention that in the video. It would be ok for a few days in the fridge or you could freeze it.

      Luz Fehleisen You can use tahini and soy sauce instead of nutritional yeast or even some miso paste to give that cheesy flavor.

    That little blitzer you use whats the brand name? I find all the little mixers like that still leave my sauces grainy and not the right texture at all. Is this one quite powerful?

    I'm trying to find a recipe for a good gluten free/dairy free pizza crust (and topping). I'm intolerant to yeast though. Do you think I could use an egg and some baking powder (gluten free, aluminum free) instead of the yeast? Not sure what to do about the cheesy sauce recipe you showed; we can't do the oats, the miso or the yeast...

    Have you made coconut yogurt or have I missed this being a fairly new non vegan subscriber who is loving your vids? I've found so many versions of how to make and now completely confused not to mention spent more than a store bought jar which defeated the whole purpose of buying it. Any tips would be greatly received 👌🏽

      No I haven't, I only have one for soy yogurt at this stage.
