I am Romanian too and I grew up with biscuit salami. I don't think it's fair to say that you are embossed because you actually found out it's a Greek recipe. Wrong! This recipe is very popular in Greece, Turkey, Uruguay, Portugal, Italy, Poland, and a few other countries ... Chocolate salami is an Italian and Portuguese dessert made from cocoa, broken biscuits, butter, and sometimes alcohol such as port wine or rum. The dessert became popular across Europe and elsewhere. In Romania, it may have originated during the 1970s or 1980s in the communist era, possibly as a result of food shortages.

Im really eager to try it because in my memory the salami biscuit i had as a kid was on the softer side while all the recipies I have tried in the past has a rather hard texture.

Just found this channel, trying to satiate my Greek Nostalgia (I haven’t eaten this desert, I grew up having regularly, in over 11 years!, my mom would make this at home frequently!)
I dunno, but something about it being called chocolate “SALAMI” by a fellow Greek here...feels so wrong...almost offensive, haha...just no! LOL
Please Akis agori mou! It’s a KORMOS at best!!! Which means “TREE TRUNK” as if you cut up a tree and how it looks on the inside with the awesome shapes of a tree trunk and it’s spots/biscuits
Or a MOSAIC/Μοσαικος, at the very least!!! Ante Mpravo! Hahaha
Still appreciate the making of this recipe and the charming personality of the host/Akis! I subscribed!
But I gotta say...the chocolate sauce, looks WAY TOO DARK in my humble opinion!
When the end result is that dark and in that shape, AND called Salami, it is not that appetizing!!!
