I saw this in store last night, my husband had NO idea it was ADS panned. LOVEd it so much!! Ready to pull the triger. I am coming from 2021 Flagship VA panel 1600nit tv. I have picky eyes. Their U8K 75” looked amazing in Person !🎉❤
When I found out it was a IPS-ADS panel, I have been giving it the two week Best Buy trial period scrutiny and I am also extremely picky on picture brightness, contrast and HDR spectral highlights and could not find one reason to return it. Whatever difference the IPS-ADS panel has over a standard IPS panel, it makes a difference. I am impressed and think you will be happy with your purchase not to mention the sound is extremely impressive as well.

And maybe by thinking ADS=IPS,,,that made it look like it’s NOT as good as VA? But i guesss ADS use similar technology as IPS but more premium . Kinda like GAS vs Diesel type of thing. U should post some more random videos. Even just like random 4k street walk/building or 4k RUclipsr/Netflix thing. So it can help so many ppl. Cuz like I had to go to 40km away to see that Tv panel. Lol if was NOT going to a family meetup , i would def not even gonna see that TV anywhere. I don think Bestbuy display HIsense VA Panel AT ALL in Canada. They are so sketchy anwway. That TV blew me away but was not available in larger than 65" and had sound issues and bluetooth and was junked out under my 5 year Best Buy warranty. They gave me a 900 + tax credit and this new released U8K 75" went on sale the next day at $1599. I found out the second day of ownership that it was a IPS and my previos experinces with IPS panels flashed before me but this is a newer variant of the technology resolving some of the previos shortcummings. This may be do to the ADS variant resolving some of the previous ips color and contrast shortcomings because yesterday was the last day for the two week return and it's a keeper.
Thank you for putting this together. I never owned a Hisense but want to get a 75 for bedroom. We watch movies at night total darkness (obviously 😂) and have CC on not to wake the spouse. My current tv (2021 Visio p65) has terrible blooming around subtitles and anything white really. How’s the blooming on this TV with subtitles on? Is it really OLED Like?
I was so afraid of ADS_PRO because ppl trash talking. After going to store making video taping myself n checking. I am ONLY going to get ADS-pro for my next Hisense.. they are next level Epic glossy vibrant.
I'm still a little skeptical, I made a purchase of the new 75u7n thinking it was a UV panel like the rest of the u7 models until I realized that only the 75-inch one was IPS. The problem is that it will take a while to arrive here in Mexico, it will arrive at my house in a month, I am anxious for it to look as good as yours, I just hope that the 75-inch U7N comes with the same IPS panel as your U8K 🤞🏻

RUclips, NetFlix and Hulu looks awesome and I watch a ton of it so that was very important. The X-Files and Breaking Bad for example look better on this TV than my H9G. This U8K really seems to shine in cleaning up lower bit rate content which I need because I also have a bunch of moves only released on DVD that I converted to mp4 and put on my NAS drive. I'm about nine feet buy I really enjoy the larger screens immersive feeling. Thanks.
I love it and I'm ocd with my TV picture. Awesome hdr, sound and lower content clean up upscaling. I also see the Q8 is now showing it's problems so I'm very happy with my U8K 75". The ips-ads pro panel off angle viewing is also proving to have a clear advantage in our family room.

@cjtsn466 overall yes but there are some issues with Dolby content in netflix and prime being still too dark. And while the latest software update attemted to address some of the issues, it seems from my perspective at least, to dull the overall picture a bit which we can only hope Hisense addresses. I will be doing an update video with a workaround solution for a brighter picture so stay tuned.
Question, does it go into sdr and hdr pretty seamlessly? Does the TV give any indication it's in hdr when loading something that's hdr? I'm probably going to get this TV, but want to know. Thank you 🙂
Boy, this is confusing. Watch my other recent video as well. I see no blooming. To be fair the U7K has significantly less dimming zones than the U8K so imo you can't directly compare blooming between the two.
Hello thanks for the video. Have you noticed any dirty screen effect with this modle? I have the 75 u7g which was perfect at the time but they keep releasing new modles every yr and i want the best tv before they become "out of price range" I refuse to pay more for a tv at some point. I have the warrenty as well but its only a yr old with no noticeable wear so i dont think i can get credit just yet. I want to just go buy the u8k but dont have a place to put it ha
I have seen U7G in person side by side with U8G , I bought U8G 65” ! If u get U8K that’s like MAJOR Upgrade 😊 ! If u like U7G now d U8K will feel like 2 Tiers up .
My problem is I bought both the u7g75 fory living room and u8g65 for my bedroom. Its only been a year since I bought them and they were the latest at the time. I would love the u8k I've seen it at best buys but those guys couldn't care less about Hisense. I wanted to hear the sound on them and they were like I can pretty much grante there crap. Im just hoping that one of them craps out so I can upgrade. Problem with that is they will probably have newer version by then and they'll be more expensive. I got the warranty like he did so hopefully I get lucky.

@kurakuson Stop The FOMO said the U8K edges out the QM8 on average to lower bit rate content such as steaming and DVD due to its better processing so it seems like Hisense really made an effort to improve this over the previous models. The QM8 is a little brighter and looks like an excellent TV as well but for me the upscaling lower content with better processing mattered to me so as all streaming is compressed, so I chose the U8K.
@@24hourgmtchannel64 is correct. There was a comparison by FOMO between the Hisense U8K and the TCL QM8. But, the comparison was between 65" models. All the TCL QM8 models of all sizes use a VA panel and are rated with poor viewing angles - just like all VA panels. The 75" Hisense U8K was not included in this comparison. The fundamental difference is the 75" Hisense U8K uses and IPS-ADS panel, which gives it excellent viewing angles while simultaneously have excellent blacks as a result of the Mini-LED technology.
ADS is way better as long as the local dimming algorithm is solid. Most of the time, Hisense doesn't have it but Sony does. 99% VA has only 15-20 degrees until the picture is destroyed unless it has x-wide technology.
It happens. I had the same issue with the near top of the line Samsung. The dirty screen was too obvious to ignore and it wasn't a cheap TV so I returned it.
Happens my friend’s family bought BMW they wanted red one pay extra $$$ ship from Japan . N wait for 2 months . Finally arrive still had issue , n had to take in get it fixed 😅

Look up “ STOP the FOMO. Hisense H9G” then u will understand. It’s the -ORIGINAL TV bomb panel lottory. I HAVE THAT PANEL. (I am coming from a $2600 for 46” n $4000 for 60” TV) n went straight to H9G ! That was significant upgrade. That tv crushed SONY FLAGSHIP QLED x900H , sending LG C9 to the dim bye bye , n competing with Samsung flagship QLED. So by stating he had a very premium H9G , he let ppl know that he has high baseline as measure point as reference . For seeing this TV (mini LED) against SONY/Samsung flagship mini led/ QD-OLED. 😅😊🎉hope this helps. So he can tell u how much of UPGRADE this is. It’s like Flagship to flagship. Not from low tier to Flagship . Cuz often ppl do tier upgrades.

I've read a few places and it is the same as last year's 75", which were IPS ADS Pro so you should be good.

How bright is Dolby bision on this tv. Some tvs look very dim and washes put in Dolby vision

Yes it does. It doesn't say the content by default but I want to say it can be enabled. I'll have to look through the settings.

U8G tested at around 1750 to 1800 nits, for sum reason they were over shooting their 1500 nits on the box
Can you easily connect and cast an Android phone directly to the U8K, with it running on Google TV?
Yes, you can do that with any TV running Android/Google TV. You could also do it with Vizio models with Smartcast functionality.

Yes, the blacks are nearly as good as oled as far as my eyes can tell.

Yes. The U7k and U8K in 75" only is ADS Pro.
