- Hellsinki metal festival is a new metal festival that takes place now for the first time in Helsinki, Finland. The line-up is pretty interesting, so let's take a look at it. It's not for everybody, but has some fancy names.

I’ve just got back to the UK from Hellsinki and had a great time, you’re right about the lack of info in English, it didn’t hold us non-Finnish back though! It was a bit weird hearing the pop festival at the Olympic park during Emperor! We recorded a rolling podcast review that we will be publishing soon. Cheers for the video, I wish I had found it two months ago when you published it :)

Basically the line up is what you would expect from Tuska

Job, pisses me off that I missed bands like
Watain, Sodom and Pentagram, but guess you cant have everything :/

Good festivals in Europe. Not much going on in the States. Missed the memo that Metal Fest was resurrected. Might have to hit Milwaukee next year assuming it's a regular event again. Missed out on a few opportunities in the 90's that I now regret.
Yeah, we have pretty good stuff going on here. You should travel to Europe for festivals some year!
Pretty diverse and kickass lineup to be honest. Besides the black metal titans, some great other genres' representatives.The addition of Pete Sandoval on drums makes I Am Morbid the "real Morbid Angel" in my opinion, in comparison to the actual band led by Trey nowadays. And the are celebrating Covenant's 30th anniversary this year. Voivod is one of the most unique metal bands in general, ever. Sodom's my all time favourite. And Pentagram - one of the best US doom bands. Much better lineup than Tuska.
Doom bands are so overlooked. Pentagram are amazing musicians
Got tickets for 2 days, been wanting to see Pentagram for ages, Bobby rules!
With respect apart from melodic metal it will be a great event.
