APOCALYPTICA at Hellsinki Metal Festival 2023

Interview with Perttu Kivilaakso and Eicca Toppinen from APOCALYPTICA. This interview was recorded on August 11, 2023 at the Hellsinki Metal Festival at the Ice Hall in Helsinki, Finland. Perttu and Eicca told us how it feels to be the festival's replacement headliner on such short notice. We also talked about the friendship and brotherhood between the band members and how APOCALYPTICA manages to maintain both for over 30 years. We also theorized what an APOCALYPTICA biopic would look like and we tried to unravel the mystery of why there are no jokes about cellists.

They don’t even need to throw them! I was in the first row at a small venue during the cult tour in 2001 and almost got stabbed in the face by Perttu’s and Eicca’s bows several times. 🤣
