Thanks for a short roundup, it's hard if not impossible to buy the perfect shoe online these times. Not only in the way of not trying but actually finding the correct size in stock when you have decided.. The Lakes are to my knowledge the only ones actually made like a quality shoe with leather and minimal plastics, sewn instead of glued parts, large toe boxes, wide and extra wide versions for us with bunions and good maintainability at home or at a shoe maker etc. I have a pair of old CX237 wide and my feet stopped getting numb during long rides when I started using them so thumbs up. PS. Tips: going with SPD on all bikes (road, gravel, commuter (dual sided) and FS/HT mtb (if not flats) kan make sense for many. Mx241 are also available in silver/camo colors but sizes are scarce, it almost feels they manufacture them when you order
Yea it's really difficult to find a good shoe that fits. I probably went to 7 different bike shops to try on shoes before I found the Fizik Terras. I tried them on in shop and loved them but they only had them in green so I ordered online. I actually saw the Lake was made in some other colors when I was searching for images but then couldn't find them for sale anywhere...seems like they make a quality shoe though...
Yes! Almost put them on the list but I thought they were labeled as a mountain bike shoe and now that I look at them more, they are tagged as an "all terrain" shoe...they look badass that's for sure.
@@TysRides they have 4 variations. I'd easily say the recon 3 is better than the sworks comfort wise but the sworks you can definitely tell when you pedal they put down the watts
Possibly the ugliest shoes I have ever seen out of all genres of shoes ever made...but Bontrager makes good stuff so I'm sure they are well made and functional.

More great info Ty!!!!
This guys eyes will never get dry
Any shoes that can be use on flat pedal? I still want to look fine but usning non locking shoes.
Check out Five Ten shoes. I use them for mountain biking and they work great with flat pedals.
I've tried cycling shoes with laces, a bad idea. You can't tighten them while riding, and they come loose too easily.
Yea I think they are cool looking but I worried about same thing. The boa is nice because you can just reach down and adjust them.
Clean
While being "ugly" the Bontrager is the only one suitable for a bike + hike adventure.
And that makes sense. They look like they would be good for that.
Big big fan of sworks recon

Came here to say this. The recons are 🤘🤘🤘
All those shoes are too narrow I stick to my Northwave brand
Those bontragers look like the sketchers Shape up of the bike world. I bet you have them in both colors! You think they would be great? good grief!
