    A major one not to miss on Gen4s, INJECTOR TIP TEMP!!!! Once you reflash, it will take up to ten minutes for this to go away and you will run pig rich. If you want to flash and retune right away, disable it while tuning or you will have to sit and wait for it to come back in line after each test and tune.

    • @hpa101
      @hpa101  Год назад +3

      You are spot on, 'rich after reflash', we talk about that too if anyone wants to understand what is happening in the background 😎
      The 'Injector Offset vs Injector Temp table' is what you want to adjust - Taz.

    He’s right everyone throws the maf in the bin. Although I prefer having the maf on a Subaru sti daily driver factory ecm car for many reasons.elevationcorrection #1 and atmospheric air density changes every day and the maf can correct for that as well.
    Ps if you run a maf in a Subaru. And took your air cleaner off to be cool like a Honda. Well there is your problem. I’m a pro tuner and IV attempted to scale a maf without an air cleaner just to see and test. Car ran like crap. Put a nice clean air cleaner in it. And clean your maf at the same time. Re calibrate your wideband. Then attack all exhaust leaks. There should be 0 then attack any boost leaks or post maf suction leaks. And then finally. Maf systems require a bypass valve or blow off valve whatever plumbed back into post maf. Any post maf leak will ruin your tune. Aka blow off valve. But I have a blow off valve and just modified it to blow off Pre turbo inlet. Post maf. And
    #3 I’m paraphrasing everything this guy has said because IV been watching him for years. Like years. And for years he’s the only one that actually knows what’s going on and can explain it and even go into serious detail that I was looking for.

    I noticed you did not mention DFCO in this video as I’ve seen in other videos. Would this not impact our data as we would go full lean on deceleration? Awesome video though!

    What if my Power Enrichment EQ Ratio is not all the same? Will this affect my data? My vehicle is flex-fuel.

    Still undecided if i should pay to get my project tuned, or pay for your training videos. Not new to tuning but not a professional. Learned a good bit by tuning on megasquirt. Would be nice to get some advice. Thank you.

      Gasoline is pretty simple your working around a few limiters to let it fuel i tune diesel the transmission can get tricky with shift pressure and timing

      I'm doing both. My racing days are in the past but this is not information I ever picked up in the pits or even casually gleaned from hanging around other racers. This is stuff you have to pay for to learn.

      Their classes are definitely worth it, I'd just say the value depends on whether you think you'll utilize the knowledge more than once or if you might "get it and forget it"

      even in that case I still think it's worthwhile but just depends on the individual of course

      I been tuning for about 7 years and I still feel obligated to go back and watch Videos from my modules for further reference and you can buy one at a time and go at your own pace to.

    how do i do this when i have a bigger maf housing and bigger injectors?
    is it just in this way or is it not working because of the change of both fuel and air
    stock injectors are 315cc now i have 650cc, maf housing is stock 2.25inch now i have 2.75inch.

    Couldn't you stop the recording before deceleration so you won't get those weird outliers?

    • @mattnsac
      @mattnsac Год назад +1

      You can actually filter it in the scanner so that TPS has to be above a certain amount before it actually records data.

  • @grapsorz

    hmm you have set the temp to lowest -40c? i have ben in -54c so what happens when you get below? it CAN stop as that is deadly at those temps.

    • @mattnsac
      @mattnsac Год назад

      The sensor cant go below -40C (or F as they are the same at that temp). If youre below that, thats on you and probably should seek shelter so you dont die.

    Extremely small lettering while you are showing the HP tuner site. Possibly remove you’re a little pop-up of yourself in the right corner and while you’re talking and using the marker on the screen below up the screen so we can see what you are referring to.
