OMG I kinda did that last month in a hurry to make the carrier picking up. I put the same label on 2 packages. Realized what I had done after my mail carrier left. I PANICKED!!!!!!! Printed the correct label and grabbed my tape gun. Jumped in my car and literally chased my mail carrier down. She laughed at me sooo hard but helped me find the packages in question. Let me open them up to fix my mistake and got them taped up again. She then had to go through her scanner find the duplicate and delete it then scan the new label. I love my carrier and she will be getting a really good Christmas gift. Not all carriers would have done that for me. I have been very careful since then.
I know it's not a nice feeling making a mistake like this but add up all the items you have posted out in the last say 3 months and see how many you got right, only a human Lonnie.
Happened to me yesterday. Had a DVD and soundtrack listed from the same movie. Customer ordered the soundtrack but I shipped the DVD. This one was an easy fix but still bothered me that it happened.
The only time I can remember ever shipping the wrong item, it was a book. I had two for sale. They bought one and I shipped the other. Fortunately I figured it out before the wrong book arrived and I shipped the right one too. Told them the wrong book was on its way and to keep it with my compliments. That of course was the one worth money.(sigh)
I bought the two dog shirts. Candice, I will send you a picture of my dog sitting in the "twofer" shirt so you can show Lonnie what it looks like on. :) I cracked up when you tried to show him by squatting down. HA!

I felt so terrible when the buyer messaged me that it was the wrong item. Unfortunately I will be out the extra shipping costs, but we all make mistakes sometimes. I have to remind myself that and not feel so bad about it.
It definitely happens to us all. Thousands of items a year there's bound to be a mistake sooner or later. I once accidentally mailed a $100 VHS tape to a wrong buyer who ordered a $7 VHS tape. Luckily the buyer who received the expensive one sent it back no problem. I gave them a refund and sent them a replacement $7 tape free.

I lay mine all out in order and print bulk order labels. They are automatically printed in order so it helps prevent me from switching labels. I still double check usually though.

It's a horrible feeling for sure, I did it a few years ago, for me the buyers had the same first name and I wasn't careful enough. One buyer was awesome the other was not 🙄
Yo Lonnie. Did you ask them for proof of what you sent? Just incase they watch your show and are scamming you? Good of you to be in front of it, but I make sure to get all details from buyers when they are making a claim. Ask them to send photo of wrong item sent. So it’s all logged into eBay for future case info. It’s sad but people take advantage. Just be cautious and get all the details. Just incase. So you don’t chase your tail too much.
I feel your pain. I've done the ol'switcheroo error before and it was with high value items. What a mess. I went to the "print labels one at a time" method as well and that has helped. But mistakes can still happen.

I use the same printer you use and 2 or 3 times that printer double printed the same label twice. Got burned once and the 2nd time it was caught by the PO clerk as a duplicate scan. You may be having the same problem I did
This is why I stay away from bulk shipping. I don't even want to know how it works. Print it n stick it. Over 15 years ago I mixed labels on 3 items. Can't remember how I fixed it, I did and had no bad feedback.
It looks to me if you know the Item they got instead of the cook book you should know who is going to get the wrong item. The person that that item should get the cook book instead of the item they ordered. It happens Lonnie don't beat yourself up about it. I know you take pride in your shipping and packing but we are all human. Good thing it was an item that you have multible of.
I just shipped the wrong item today and got the return request email of item not as described. I found the correct similar item. Apologized profusely, got a label from PirateShip, and mailed it. I hope they take back their return request when the correct item arrives. If not, I will send a label for them to send the wrong item back and refund.
Are you sure that you sent out the other item? I have accidently clicked on the wrong item to ship without realizing it then poof it is off the list. With you selling so many la italiana books you wouldnt even realize that you sent one out but then you wouldnt see the right item on the list to pull. I have almost done this too but catch it the same way you usually do. Unless you pull everything before hand. On big days I pull like 10 at a time. also, did you even find out why you have been selling so many of the books? i did notice a relatively new youtube channel called Rosaria's Italian Cuisine and I can imagine anyone looking up a cookbook from her might instead find your listing.

Are you sure that you sent out the other item? I have accidently clicked on the wrong item to ship without realizing it then poof it is off the list. With you selling so many la italiana books you wouldnt even realize that you sent one out but then you wouldnt see the right item on the list to pull. I have almost done this too but catch it the same way you usually do. Unless you pull everything before hand. On big days I pull like 10 at a time.
