I don't know how many fans from Kazakhstan you guys have, but I'm one them and very happy about it :)
Всё заебись)))
I'm driving my wife and kids nuts cranking this at full volume. What a great DAD song. Great band just got even better. I think this is the best they've ever been. I'm going out of my mind just listening to it.
completely agree with you. The couple things I have heard from this new record are even catchier and than usual!
We may be middle aged but we recognise great songs !
nobody harmonizes like these guys lately. Not too many bands with the melodic sense of Teenage Fanclub but also with some muscle when needed.
A very Moody Blues vibe! I dig it.
With a MOOG!
teenage fanclub was a band no one I knew ever listened to... except the girls I played it for late at night, cruising around Boulder listening on cassette, bad fuzz and streetlights and these fucking guys.
The original purveyors of some the worlds finest vintage guitars.
I'm never disappointed.
Love those chords, they pull you in right from the off.
Sweet and powerful at the same time, the whole song is pure joy. Brilliant stuff!
Euros is such an awesome addition to the band. Loving this! ❤
Euros is great. Shame they had to shaft Gerry though.
His moving leg! Impressed me the only time I saw Gorky's live 😍
@@borachon26 How so? I thought that Gerry simply didn't want to fly to gigs anymore, which rendered wide scale touring impossible, while Norman and Ray wanted to continue to tour. So they decided to part ways, perhaps not happily, but not with great bitterness either. Is there more to it than that?
@@LeGrandeOrange Just my opinion based on my reading of events. Gerry specifically didn't want to fly to the Far East and Antipodes when there was no album to promote. He doesn't like flying, but will do it out of necessity. The rest of the band insisted he went or left the band. Some people might think that's fair enough. I personally feel there's no reason he had to leave the band completely. They effectively carried on with session musicians anyway, so looking at it logically, it seems a purely vindictive act to me. Gerry said Norman and Raymond didn't even discuss it with him. I still love the Fannies, but it's not the same.
I find it hard to believe that Norman and Ray would be that vindictive to Gerry after 30+ years together. There must be more to it than that. @@borachon26
I've been a big fan of Teenage fan club since I saw this group in France in 1992. It's very sad and unfortunate that Gérard Love left the group. However, I discovered his solo project under the name of Lightships and I confess: it's wonderful! I advise you to discover 'Electric cables'. splendid
I am quite positively conquered. there is a touch of High Llamas in this group. Right now I'm listening to: Cruyff in the bedroom, Ray, My dead girlfriend, Plastic girl in closet, Number girl (Japanese pixies). If you have other musical proposals: you are welcome!🙋♂️
@@nicolasbaranowski9954I know those, Japanese shoegaze/noise pop. Good call.
Oh what joy , Power pop is alive and well , thanks Teenage Fanclub ,welcome back
Love it on the first listen! Gerry might be gone but is not forgotten! X
I've got a song about that

盛り上がりそうで盛り上がらない、大サビが無く流れるように曲が終わる・・・ところにノーマンのこだわりを感じます。TFCらしい曲だなぁ。
Despite the changes the band has endured, they still sound fantastic. Their records, past AND present, mean so much to me. Glad they are still at it. Looking forward to the new album! ❤
Feels as fresh as a daisy. Great job, lads! Also, the legendary TF Epiphone makes yet another appearance. Appearing in videos since 1992!
So...the golden 60's essence for 2023's...with a superb class!
Bloody brilliant the boys are back
I can't get enough of this song's cheerfulness 🧡 I keep playing and playing and playing...
As always with TF, beautiful melodies, sweet harmonies, and great songwriting
I was listening to some Gerry Rafferty and this came on autoplay and I thouht it was still the same band. Purely great bands.
Norman Blake from Bellshill Lanarkshire is a legendary songwriter. This song is right on my moment. I'm feeling it. I need direction and I found it right here.
Hamilton Mausoleum! We know they were Nazis but the architecture sings. Peace be with you brothers & sisters.
This song brightened my day yesterday, walking through the city on my headphones.. Just saw you live in Groningen tonight ❤
Teenage Fanclub saving my life again and again.
Glad to still hear the harmonies!
Just slides into you like all great songs from these lads - little fanfare but endless replayability
I luv it!
Still fan after all those years, great band....
How come i did not hear this earlier? what a great track! Following NOW ❤
Just wish the whole album was being released now, to accompany the summer. Oh well, a summer extender...looking forward to it
This reminds me of Dreamtime-era Stranglers (and, yes, that's a very good thing).
Wicked control on that solo, Raymond. Great song lads
I bought Bandwagonesque when it came out back in 1990-ish as a result of singles off that album getting decent airplay on the Modern Rock/Alt-Rock station that I was listening to at the time but lost track of them soon afterward due to my attention being swept away by all of the Seattle bands and Lollapalooza acts that took over that market for the next few/several years. I've been aware that they've "come back" in recent years, but this is my first hearing of any new material of theirs since the mid '90s
I am following yours since late 90s. Love your music!!!
Great song no doubt it’s one of Norman’s. Hamilton mausoleum is looking great too.
That bassline is awesome. Great song too. Just what I needed!
My angels did the best they could too and I'm not always sure what they're trying to say to me or what is best, but I have a strong spirit so let's gooooooooo
Love it! Sounds very Howdy. And very Byrds
Ok another band that took me by surprise this week 😁😁😁
beautiful in every sense, as always!!
This song is too short! Is there an extended version?! Have to keep playing over and over! 🤩
I've always loved Teenage Fanclub. Saw them in LA on their last tour and they still deliver a great show. So glad to see they are still making new music.
love you guys! greetings from Italy
Long may The Fannies rule. Fantastic
This song is really great! You were already great 30 years ago!
Love this! Heard it on our local station WFPK. Sadly it won’t be heard on Top 40 radio (which I don’t listen to anyway anymore).
I love it
Fantastic to see you back guys keep up the great work you do ❤
SUPER SWOOOON❤️❤️❤️❤️LOVING THIS AND CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this song! The Fanclub sound more and more like The Feelies!!
The Beatles would've been proud to write that one. : )
@@chrispolo840thanks!
We need a south american tour boys 🖤
Always wonderful, sempre meravigliosi.
Oh man you have been sooooo missed .best tonic for summer
*whooptzie*, awesome melody and harmonies 💖 (can't wait for more 😀)
I really dig this seemingly new folkier sound with the organ etc, this song alone has got me interested in a new release or a tour. Bravo lads.
First Blur and now the Fannies, too? Oh my 2023 you are spoiling me!
Wonderful to hear such a great track from these guys! On repeat ❤
Great song, loving the bass line and tone
Once again the most excting band around. Sounds a bit like the Feelies in the late 80's. I can't wait to hear the whole album.
Magic from Norman and the guys
Great stuff! Looking forward to September!!
The Concept RULES👊
Can't wait for the album! Please tour in the US - really want to see you guys in person rocking out!
great song ever and ❤ever
Wow! Fantastic!
Classic Fannies 🎤
Yes lads!
Great song. Thats a cool building isn't it?
Terry Melcher called, he wants his sound back! Elish production on this one!!!
euros with the moog!
Legends!
Esiste ancora qualcuno che armonizza e si diverte pure
Love it
Looking forward to it!
This makes me SO happy!
@@MassiveFish-hp4pm Thank you, I will! 😊
Love It ❤❤❤
Nice ⚡⚡⚡
I'm loving this and I'm loving how distinctly Euros can be heard. If he was contributing songs on the new album, I'd be totally up for it.
Getting Man-Made vibes from this, nice!
Amazing all 'round - that bass, tho!
👍👍👍
See you tomorrow night, guys 🌟
❤
To me this song has a flavor of Euros' band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. I'd be curious to know how much of an input he had on it.
❤❤❤❤❤
Teenage vocês precisam acertar dessa vez, os últimos álbuns estavam sem brilho algum
WHA-HEY THE FANNIES!!
BLUR announces a new album, Teenage Fanclub already has a new one on the way, the world is a better place. Beautifully shot video btw
definitely. there's also new records from pj harvey, peter gabriel, public image ltd., and queens of the stone age coming. finally, some good shit coming out.
@@thevoid99 Plus my band is releasing it's first EP next month, check us out, we are POETS OF MYDNIGHT.
New Chemical Brothers coming too. Can't wait.
Missing my love for sure.
😊.
Byrdsie or what?👍
I disagree… I think this is an excellent song! I too was one of the original fans and I am elated to see them creating find work today! (I think people who criticize too much r just looking for an opportunity to sound snooty - - ha ha!)
Or is it New Stevenston or Holytown.
Who cares? Man of the world!
Anyone else here ever visited the Hamilton Mausoleum? The quietest note lasts over 80 seconds! I suspect a wee bit of artistic license in the video. 😉 Nice song though.
Great as ever. Does anyone know what Norman's new guitar is? A Hofner or something like that?
I've worked it out. 60's Epiphone Granada
@@chrispolo840 thanks, I’ll look them up 👍🏼
I Need Direction (in a) Foreign Land.
I started a fan club for this band. But I don't allow teenagers, or people who were once teenagers to join.
Sounds like a GL toon 🙂
Everyone here will hate me... but i think TFC have lost something when Gerry leaved the band... this song is cool but the melodie is too "simple", the chorus does'nt kill like before. please Gerry come back!!!
Yawn.
That's not going to happen going by the interviews with both parties. They just need to let Euros contribute to the level Gerry did.
what guitar is the singer playing?
It's a 1960s Epiphone Century.
@@MassiveFish-hp4pm Let me guess...you're a member of the Doublejumps.
Single out the 2 guitar attack. Thank me later.
