Z LaLa performing Italian Opera piece "Vide Cor Meum" (See My Heart) Based on Dante's "La Vita Nuova" Recorded at CRC Los Angeles Filmed by Narbeh Khodaverdi Video by KD Productions
There are no words in the accolades to describe her angelic voice. This piece is the essence of a piece of music to live on thru time. It is a piece to be played at my funeral. I want my funeral to a time of piece and of celebration, not mourning. It will be played at the time of the last viewing before I go home.
Literally the most beautiful piece of music ever composed..the version from hannibal with male and female is my favorite. The lady singing in this is exceptional..
Every Christmas Eve I hear this song, and this year was no different! It reminds me of the Christmas atmosphere, brings me peace, joy and makes me reflect on the true Christmas spirit.
I was in a Pink Floyd tribute band years ago and we used this song (Hannibal version) to open the show with all of “Dark Side of the Moon”. We ran the track under the ‘heartbeat’ intro as the house lights dimmed and we took the stage. Got LOTS of compliments on it.
There is a heaven. Because this beautiful girl has just taken me there, it is a rare thing to be moved to complete love, in this world we live in . Z La La Stunning job. you must be an angel .
This piece of music 🎶 alone is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. How ironic that it is used in the film "Hannibal", with all the violence, horror, and bloodshed that film embodies. As beautiful as the woman in the video is along with her voice, I prefer the voices featured in the movie soundtrack. 🎬 That version is far more ethereal, than this version.
Last time I left a comment I was labelled a philistine who needs to wash his ears out 😳😜 this is one hell a piece of music to take on let's admire someone who has the nerve to do so. Or am I missing the point by not being pretentious and thinking it's all about trying to feel all superior?
WTF! This is not an Italian opera. It's not an opera at all. From Wikipedia:"Vide cor meum (See my heart) is an aria composed by Irish composer Patrick Cassidy based on Dante Alighieri's Vita Nova, specifically on the sonnet A ciascun'alma presa, third chapter. The song first appeared in the movie Hannibal (2001), while Dr. Hannibal Lecterand Italian Inspector Pazzi see an outdoor opera in Florence, and was specially composed for the movie." Not to mention that the original version is much better.
This is the most beautiful masterpiece I have ever heard. I have chosen it for my funeral song because I want this to live on through me forever.
Beautiful words my friend
May your legacy live 🙏 forever my friend 🙂
I chose this for my brother's funeral and now it always reminds me of his beautiful, gentle soul.
I cannot explain what this music does to me in words buts I cry with it everytime . if I could have one wish it would be to experience it live .
We feel exactly the same! 👍

Let's hope you don't go home for quite a while.

Try Sarah Brightman 's version. This sounds like Sarah's instrumental. In fact, it is.
Brightman’s was just okay, because she sang it way to breathy, if only Brightman could have recorded it a few years earlier, and used her full voice.
This sounds rather flat compared to Sarah Brightman and Katherine Jenkins versions
100% agree
Danielle de Niesie own this song. No comparison.
The Paul Cassidy version for Kingdom of Heaven is my go to. This diva’s voice is lovely!
I love that movie! Especially the directors cut. So much better then the original.
It's Patrick Cassidy.

I wonder if the Hannibal and Kingdom of Heaven versions are the same. But hell yeah man that must have been awesome, I can imagine it in my mind.
when the king is dead, defend jerusalem...

Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it, it’s beautiful.
What an amazing transformation of music. To stop you in your tracks and grab hold of you in way you can't stop it happening.

Interesting. Why do some derive Christmas from it? That is some freedom of interpretation indeed.

I chose this version for our wedding……gorgeous piece I could listen to every day!
This piece of music is a love song and my God does it make sense. The harmonys in the choir with the voices are so suttle. This is an amazing song
It's like Patrick Cassidy was send to us from heaven !
