I should mention that this car is bone stock as well; no tune or any other modifications. My reading isn’t 100% accurate most likely, but it felt like it!
Also even a stage 1 tune in these cars you can get 0-60 in less then 4 seconds. Saw a post and a guys stage 1 mk7 golf R got a 3.7s 0-60

I’ve seen several videos, some people talking about launch control say that you should long press the ESC button to turn it off completely, while others say press it once to put it into sport mode

Nice Bro! I have the same facelift 8.5V S3 as you but mine in metallic black, with the same wheels as you. I got mine a few months ago like new, 8K miles and I absolutely love the car as well, so much fun to drive, handles like a dream, (totally planted), it has the "tossable chasis" Im getting 4.4- 4.6 0-60 launches also. Im gonna keep mine stock for a while but eventually go the tuning route with EQT , with the hopes of being Stage3, vortex XL turbo within 3 years. These cars are wicked reliable as well, might have to do with the fact that the 2.0 T that is in the S3 engine is heavily modified/fortified over the A3 2.0- the only thing that is the same is the cast iron block- the S3 engine has an upgraded cylinder head, exhaust valve and seat rings, exhaust camshaft, piston cooling jets, high pressure injectors, exhaust turbocharger, upgraded radiator also, then of course upgraded /fortified rods and pistons. These 2.0's are incredible engines , and the DCT tranny is really robust.

Man we got the same cars!! A 2003 2.0T B207R Saab (but in 6 gear manual) and a 2018 S3 310hp (EU version) with a Racechip eprom (claims to boost up to 370hp, not sure rather if this is a true and relevant data, what is good though is the Torque improvement + 100NM), 0-100 Km/h with launch tested in 4.0s !). Keep on posting, your channel is cool!!

Word of advice. If you're going to get an Audi S3 or even an RS3. Be sure to get the model that comes with the virtual cockpit. You'll thank yourself later down the road.

I’ve launched mine a few times and I’ve gotten wheel spin every time. I’m guessing because traction was on sport and not off. This is the first time I’m seeing to turn it off completely. Thank you for this. Hopefully next time I try, that resolves the wheel spin issue.
I’d think traction being in sport would still give you some TCS, while having it completely off would give you some wheelspin. FWIW, I believe you can only launch the car with traction completely off, but I could be wrong
It’s interesting that you suggest turning off stability control will give you better traction when the entire purpose of stability control is traction.
@iSimonsez In order to engage in a launch, the wording is pretty contradicting lol You disengage AWD to have the car go into launch mode or else it doesn't let you. It's an Audi Thang.
Hey I work at a body shop and a couple weeks could be WAY worse waiting for parts. Some brands like Jaguar and land rover need MONTH before we get parts. Even brand like Toyota have lots of issues. We've gotten brand new off the lot donar cars for parts because customer cars need parts.

I don’t own one, but a friend of mine does. Try putting the car into sport mode and THEN putting it in manual mode. Should feel a difference, even while in manual mode!
sport mode for the transmission? or sport mode (meaning dynamic mode)? I will have to try!
Shame its going to take so long to get it fixed, I'm sure you will miss it ........also, that's a quick car, I can't see you getting bored of that power 👍👍

WHEEL SPIN ISSUES
Hello everyone..
I purchased a used 2015 audi s3 back in 2022 March and had plenty of issues to where I had serveral trips back to the dealership insisting this is an issue within the vehicle.
I would launch and everytime I would, the wheels would spin dramatically. I thought it was tuned..Perhaps what the "Audi" technicians were saying why I would get wheel spin.
After doing countless searches of issues within this subject, i purchased an ODB ELEVEN PRO. Ran the pump under one of the modules to go into your system & the car after has never gripped better. I have literally 0 wheel spin now..
Just thought I'd throw this out there considering mine was at 68k when I bought it. Its like the DSG just goes to sleep for a bit until you wake it up again. Lol
Hope this helps anyone having this issue.

I think on stock Audis you are limited to 200 launches, but most tunes will get rid of the limiter.

Man your car gets up to 220-225 F? Even on 80-90* days in Midwest USA here my tuned s3 never gets above that 200-205* F

launch counter meaning like it counts how many times you've done it? Im not sure
@@AutoAutopsy yes, and it wont allow you to use launch Control once it hits 200. Now some tunes will raise it to 500 or 1000.

not from factory; my turbo x did have "launch control" with the tune it had when i bought it though!
