- Showing the steps needed to be done to have the ability to activate launch control. Works for all MQB cars that are DSG. Will work for other vw/Audi models if it comes with factory LC. Also you can activate this in any drive select mode and in manual sport mode.

2 questions 1 can I do it in dynamic mode and use paddles or does it have to be in sport? Second question do I have traction control on sport or turn it completely off ? Please lmk

I noticed you have the eqt stage 2, I have a 2017 s3 and my brother has a 2016 R, we both got the stage 2 e30 tune and dsg tune from there but we get transmission overheat warnings everytime we tried to launch the car, wondering if you ever experienced a warning like us? Lmk👍
Hmm that’s weird.. I’ve launch it a few times with no issues at all.. have you guys had a dsg flush done recently? Maybe it is overdue causing more heat.. I haven’t really heard of over heating the gear box unless you’re launching the car back to back multiple times
@@DArias I've launched the car with absolutely no problem multiple times pre-tune, but as soon as I tuned it thats when the issues occurred. My brother flushed and even reset his dsg and same issues appeared. We think its something to do with the clutch packs

You can launch in any mode I believe as long as it’s in sport and traction is off
Wait does the car have to be up to temp?
Yes if I’m not mistaken oil temp needs to be 190+ before the ecu allows you to activate

How long do you hold the brake down to build perfect boost? That seems the next question...
It’ll build full boost after about 2 seconds of holding. Mine builds around 14psi on launch control

How do you do it on a manual S3?
Unfortunately there’s no factory launch control for MQB manuals. You’d need to get a tune to have a launch control set
Test drove a 2015 S3, did the launch sequence, but it roasted the front tires. Tired several times same result. Doesn't seem like its working properly

I never got the Cobb LC option haha it’s just the factory one
@@DArias weird, I thought you were looking at the Cobb LC oil temperature requirement, I did launch my S3 on oil temperature of 150, it won’t at 140, car got cold at the track had to wait a few seconds before staging to get at 150 🤔 maybe because I have a 2016.
Btw 150 was the reading on the car cluster gauge (coded thru obdeleven) the Accessport was still reading in the 140s
