Hey I recognize that Jeep! ;) It was so awesome getting to meet you guys out on trail and share a tiny blip of such a grand adventure! Y'all are truly an inspiration to me and I feel I'm so lucky to have met folks that I strive to be like when I'm in my 50's. I'm glad we still had some chips left for y'all. Thanks for the shout out and the kind words! I'll definitely let y'all know the next time I come out to Colorado. I'm enjoying the videos of the journey and am stoked to continue watching!! Till next time, Peace!
It was definitely a tough climb! FYI, no bicycles allowed in the wilderness area, even if they were allowed, that'd be one heck of an uphill battle!!! Several places on the CT we witnessed people walking their bikes up hill, but they made up time and enjoyed the ride down the other side no doubt. The Guthook app has the official CT bike route and shows where you have to detour around wilderness areas.
@@MADHippiesLife that's right, I think there are a couple of bike detours because of the wilderness areas, either way, I'm not interested in hike-a-biking that steep stuff
@@alanmiller4122 we would see people taking steep terrain, legs going a million mph while they inched along. Heart pounding, lungs blowing out... tough breed for sure.
Wow, mid-50s is not old. Why do you keep saying that? You’re doing fine, just enjoy it. Bath downstream in one of the good creeks, no soap, it’s still refreshing.
Definitely not old, but when everyone around you on trail is in their 20s, well, we became the elders on trail. It's all good, we completed the trail in our own good time and enjoyed the company of tramily here and there when we'd met up in camp or town. Good times!
The trail provides!
Indeed, more times than you know. There are amazing people out there, all helping each other.

hahahahaha the venting, a master piece, 13 was hard, I had to hike segment 4 under a hail storm
I was thinking of biking this, now I am re-thinking biking this.
