I completely agree! That’s why I mentioned it in the video, it’s one of my favorite saltwater fish but I will never be able to keep it because I can’t keep a tank big enough. 🙌
I had a blue tang also for a short period and now the blu tang is super fine in another tank and before it was super healthy in mine too. This angelfish in in health and have normal behavior so it’s not suffering, I won’t keep it for many months from now, I ll give it away before the end of the summer
Calm down people, it's better than that angel being in the tiny holding tanks at the fish store. It looks super healthy, it will be fine for a few months
@@losirk4491 yes when babies they can and also a biologist would tell you that for some months there is no issues ! Sure keep it there forever or more time isn’t good
Realllyyyy beautiful tank. I am getting my first tank later this week and I would love to give it a background with these green soft corals. What was used to attach it on? Thanks!
Great video! At 3:27 you said top off happens with RO water. I would like to get a Nano tank but I only have a RO system at home for drinking water. I don’t have a DI part to it. I’ve heard you need to use RODI, but is just RO okay?
wow, this might be the nicest nano ive ever seen, the monkey hair as background is just insae. gonna save this as a blueprint, thanks so much for sharing!

Subscribed! I have a question how to attach the gsp to the back of the glass for the first time? And if they grow are they automatically attached on the back of the glass too or it required special treatment so it will attached on the back glass all of them? I do hope you will reply this question since this is an old video. Thank you and regards from Indonesia…. 🙏
They probably attached themselves! If you put a small piece of it near the background, it will start growing on it! Like moss… but this is the saltwater equivalent 😝
I glued gsp to a small rock and placed the rock next to the backwall. The green star polyp coral will eventually grow onto the back panel. Give it a shot
There’s an aquarist in the UK who specializes in macro algae. His RUclips is called: the every day aquarist If you’re looking for macro algae that maybe the way to go. Good luck :)
Thank you!! I’ll definitely see if it’s possible to get those macro algae over to the EU. I know of a few other places in the UK, but none of them can ship out of the UK. :(
Amazing tank, just know if you have a challenge keeping plants alive this is not likely for you. Salt reef tanks go sour easily (especially micro-tanks) and quickly, vacations are so risky. Beautiful tanks bring us into the hobby and may sick tanks later often drive most out. They are so relaxing and beautiful when working right.
I’ve kept freshwater before I set up my saltwater tanks, I have to say… I had more problems with my freshwater tanks and I found it way more difficult 😝
That’s sad to know, but you could do a saltwater tank like paludarium where the water level is way lower than the top it the tank so water won’t get out even with earthquakes
@Reefluo it's not the water getting out that I'm worried about it's the entire tank tipping 😭 they get pretty strong here and furniture falling over does happen
Buying fish to temporarily house them does no good for the hobby. It sets a bad example for people thinking they can give away a fish because it outgrows their tank. Keep fish that you can care fkr their entire lifetime people!
If you don't have any GSP on glass already you should glue the frag as close to glass as possible in a place where there's enough light and flow. It might take months for it to start growing on the glass, but once it starts it goes relatively fast. I had a big, 12 cm wide GSP rock that I put on sandbed near glass and it took it 3-6 months to start growing on the glass. And only at one point even though the rock was 12 cm wide. 6 months later it grew 20 cm high over the glass. It generally want's to grow up and spreads to the sides in a cone shape. Once you have it growing on glass you should make sure it doesn't grow on the rocks nearby. You can easily control it by slicing the parts that grow too close to the rocks and then reuse the sliced fragments to glue to other parts of the glass you want to have GSP on (you need to find a glue that works for you though). Good luck.
Mine was packed very well, it has to be.. because it’s glass of course haha.. I have yet to hear of someone who received a cracked tank. And even if the tank gets delivered cracked, I’m confident they will take care of ya! I’ve seen Reef Casa tanks pop up all over the world. So that’s a great sign 😎

A lot of species in the aquarium trade are grown and bred on farms and not taken from the ocean. Yes, there is still some wild caught stuff.. but it’s becoming less and less.
there’s organizations that take from reefs and grow the corals out many times faster than in the wild and re release them with protection so they can hold on to the reef while they attach so yes stuff is taken sometimes but most in the aquarium trade has been captive bred/ grown for a long time now plus this can preserve some species that would otherwise be smothered in nature and could be kept alive while we get its home just right & put it back one day :)
These comments are funny. “That’s way too small! It’s going to be unhappy!” Right, and you think that a yellow tang that roams the ocean will be happy in a 55-75 gallon tank like the official online recs are, or even 120? That doesn’t even account for the water column above the tang in a 1 ft x 1 ft area. You’re keeping the tang in a broome closet compared to its natural life. IMO if it looks healthy, eats well, swims happily, is active, and is disease free, it’s probably happy. It’s comically pretentious of people to suddenly act like they are Fish Welfare-God and decide when a fish is or isn’t doing well. This was a baby Emperor Angelfish and the owner even clarified that it’s a temp home. Calm down guys. Funny how people always go crazy against buyers putting tangs in a 30G, but never against the stores they buy them from putting them in 1 gallon display cubes.

Stunning reef! It shows his dedication and passion.
Stunning tank, particularly the GSP on the back.
The Tanks are so nice but the Emperor Angelfish is an absolute no go! Not even in juvenile size. This is Fish abuse. The Tank 👍 The Angelfish 🚫

Dope tank with green star polyp, but im not a fan of an angelfish in such a tiny tank, anways its a nice tank indeed

Am also doing the green star polyps on the back so they can grow

U can have beautiful aquariums with soft corals which is way easier, but also the difficulty in keeping other corals can be fun in the hobby
what skimmer u use in this reef ?
I’m using the redsea skimmer that comes with the tank
@@Reefluo model?
@@paraisoreef it’s not a model that you can buy separately, unless you email redsea and ask. It s the skimmer it comes with the max nano
man if I didn't live in such an earthquake prone area I would so have a nano reef tank 😭💖 can't risk the little critters tipping over though 🥺

Put a bang a Cheese and onion crisps next to the tank and it will stop tank tipping in a earthquake.

The angelfish is a no go….
in Hungary, it is a law that only vertebrates above 100 liters can be kept in marine aquariums! even in freshwater aquariums only above 30 liters!
