Just finished my first playthrough of the game so I had to see how much faster it could've been done. Honestly of everything here the most shocking part was that you can pick up the blocks from the red cane, never would've thought to try that. Great run!
That first boss fight is great to watch, and technically impressive even for a layman like me. I always did the "casual-fast" _bottom right corner shoot up_ thing I'm sure most players did, so I at least have some idea how just how much better the execution here is compared to an average playthrough. It's not every day I can say I have an idea of just how good a speedrun is being executed. Their pattern was always easy to deal with, but the placement, aim, and count is just... perfect. It's nice being able to tell how much better a runner is.
Enjoyed the run! I'm more into Doom speedruns so as one speedrunner to another. "Rip and tear until it is done"! Looks at leaderboards* OH!... I guess it is done
That part where you dig up a piece of heart is RNG right? I've watched the other run as well and you seem to dig it up on the same spot 🤔 when I dig up that spot it's gone and I have to try few more different times to find it... P.S. This video is 3 years old; don't suppose you're shooting for a 1:40:00 or better? 🤔

PLZ write in somewhere "This is not Tool Assisted Speedrun" or "Real time attack". I realized at Desert area BOSS. Conversely saying, You are great player because I couldn't notice by then.
I guess he didn't because he is linking to speedrun.com leaderboards which basically tells people everything they need to know about the rules of the run :)
Mirror Block Erase. In the JP 1.0 version of the game if you are indoors in a non dungeon area you can push a block while spamming Y with the mirror equipped and it will erase the block.
Same thing with the shield, never bothers getting the 2nd level one because you just collect the best one. And the boomerang. You just pick it up at second level instead of getting at first and upgrading it.
Got to say your skill is more than impressive but when I saw 100% I thought you would have actually got the blue boomerang and upgraded it properly instead of using some non intentioned glitch to turn a 300 rupee into the red boomerang. I also thought you would upgrade your bombs and arrows to maximum capacity, which would have been impressive in this amount of time. Guess speed running rules don't actually care about 100% in reality.
Getting the red boomerang in Dark World Kakariko village isn't a glitch. It is completely intended. Try it yourself on your cart or on emulator. Skip the blue boomerang in Hyrule Castle and go open that chest and see.
@@Xelna I will back off that getting the red boomerang in the dark world is a glitch and give it up as my lack of knowledge. I apologize for that false claim. I will still say 100% is getting the bomb and arrow expansions though. That still feels very important to me for 100%.

It is boring to farm so much money (100 rupees for each +5 upgrade), and quite uninteresting to watch.
I've noticed you didn't get the blue mail, I'm pretty new to this so sorry for my ignorance but why is that?
We get the Red Mail later on in Ganon's Tower which would overwrite the Blue Mail anyways.
