@Reece Maxeiner Hey you could easily just put your procreate drawing/ projects onto icloud or any cloud and you would have access to them wherever you are. If not you can totally transfer to a small usb regularly and just keep your local storage less used up, and regularly clean up your storage so you only have what is necessary on your ipad.
Hey I just recenty subscribed but I found this video really relevant and interesting so I would say keep em coming I will check em out. Its great to hear your opinion as a creator on this subject. I personally don't share on social media because I found I really started letting how it was received determine how I valued my own work. I am better off not considering it at all. If you haven't seen joseph gordon levitts ted talk on this subject you should it's real interesting.
hmm i disagree with the video because i still cannot find young artists with few subscribers , when i search instagram it will only show me bigwigs to folllow
@@lemonwedge5209 yeah thats how i think of it too and how it should be i my opinion. You see, i didn't mean that everyone draws for popularity, but its very common that people do that. It is very good that people like you keep their passion and draw for themselves! Hearing that is really uplifting :)
Not everybody who's an artist on IG draws for others. I happen to make a web comic series thru my IG page and I've always liked making comics since I was in 4th grade. When I discovered there are other people who share the same sense of humor as I do, I decided to share my works with others. It's never been about other people but with social media helping to spread art all over, figured I might as well spread my joy to others. The happiness isn't necessarily from who likes/engages with it for every artist: some just like to have a structured series to make or a story to tell. If somebody wants to make something just for others and that makes them happy, that's great but I don't feel you can lump every artist on IG in that same category.
I don’t post on IG I post on Wattpad. I do it so I can create a digital art book in a sense so I can look back on my drawing from years ago to see how I’ve improved.
Try Art amino highly monitored, those discord art chats.. the list goes on deviantart kinda scared me with their whole spaceship stuff so I just use IG sometimes FC but I definetly use art Amino a lot... idk about tik tok
Discord servers are very good. I'm into a lot of them, and I never had a bad experience with people. They usually have a criticism/help corner and it's very helpful. You can't really find this into Amino, for example. But that's just my personal bad experience
"Calm" is the term that sprang to my mind. And what struck me as remarkable, too, is the lack of "ah", "uhhh" and "you know". As if read from a teleprompter. As if his words mattered, not some fancy stuff in the background.
I say ah, uh and you know all the time Does this mean that whatever I’m saying is irrelevant or unimportant? :D genuine question, it comes off passive aggressive, sorry!
Yes! It really isn't a healthy metric for artists since it is so heavily influenced by the algorithm now. Comments/feedback have always been the heart and core of how we engage with each other.
This vid speaks volumes. As artists, we gotta remember why we started creating in the first place, not for the likes but for the passion. Btw, been crafting my content with boost app social. Makes the whole sharing experience way more creative.
Yeah thats my issue with IG. You cant experiment on styles, you need to constantly do one style of art and its irritating. Im still finding my style, and i just draw casually and my posts are a mix bag of comic style and realistic, cause im studying anatomy. Now my goal is to just learn and i started not caring about likes.
I don’t care how many likes my post gets as long as someone is taking time out of their day to see my art it’s all good. Art is not a competition it’s a journey of ones growth.
Natasha Reeder And then some artists would be like, “screw it I rather get more likes than how others thinks”, but I’m sure not all artists has that kind of mindset. meep
Oh god, yeah. I gave up on trying to build my social media accounts because nothing I did ever seemed to work. I keep my sketches mostly private now, but sometimes I post if I feel like it reflects growth.
It is so dangerous to build social media as you grow because its easy to get distracted! If you can post regularly and engage without letting it distract your study and passion that's great, but its definitely not something someone should jump into without preparing themselves for the journey.
Leslie Zani COPPA is a company or something like that, that protects children on the internet I believe. They have sued RUclips because children’s information have been collected (even though you’re not even allowed to have an account if you’re under 13) and now you tubers might be sued if you make ‘content for children’. Even if it’s not. If you have colorful thumbnails, don’t curse etc it’s apparently content for children. People will get sued , loose incomes from being labeled child content (RUclips won’t recommend those videos on your recommended page or under other videos). Only because parents can’t control what their own children are doing. There is more to it than this but it’s too much to write.
@@imani828 Coppa is a company I'm pretty sure. you should watch a video about it! I would explain but it would take too long lol. A company sued RUclips and now it's VERY strict...
my problem is that getting more likes means Instagram pushes your work to more people and you need a large amount of people to see your work in order to make a living as a freelancer so i just keep having to try to push past the algorithm... its the same with other social medias i feel like not caring about likes is a luxury for artists that already have an audience they make money with
Exactly! I feel like most people who say you shouldn't aim for likes or followers either already have a lot of followers or simply don't have the ambition to earn any form of income from it. Caring about likes is not bad. Not at all. But the more you care the sadder you can get if it doesn't work out. Getting followers is a snowball effect, except the smaller the snowball the harder it is to get it moving. Likes help it move. I just looked you up on Instagram btw, and your art is great! Just keep doing what you love and keep trying to grow followers and hope you have some luck. That's about all you can do, really.
@@incognitopencil thank you so much yeah I really resonate with what you said here , I'm feeling alot better about my position with social media but I think it's a struggle for alot of people
Yes I've been experiencing that new Instagram changes for a couple of months with my business. Im not bothered about it. It's not about likes for me. Likes dont pay my bills.
@@ergojosh nope you can't. Im a portrait artist and fiber artist. And what I have learn over my course of 40 years, when you tell the story behind your work, people connects with it. Because it is them. Anybody can like or heart your work, but can they connect to it. Can they say, that artist reminds me of me and my life
@@4EverLoveDolls Why I always valued and enjoyed comments and other forms of engagement with the audience over likes. The latter just feels so empty to me.
@@4EverLoveDollsvery true! It is a level of connection that helps to "sell your art" or rather, YOU the artist help to sell whatever you create. If people can connect with you, chances are they may be more inclined to open their pocketbooks and purchase. Of course, it helps to be technically skilled and have amazing works, however, there is room out there for all types of artworks.
I noticed over time I lost followers and likes. I have been slacking in drawing lately but I'm a busy person with two jobs and can't draw all the time like I used to in middle and high school
It is alright, drawing or doing art shouldn't be forced if there's no time then let there be no time. The good thing about life is you have got many choices.
I could never understand how other artists would compare their likes to eachother. When I don't get many likes I'm like, "aw :( I didn't get that many likes... Oh Well! It doesn't matter anyway :D" yeah, although I like being able to see likes, I don't really care about likes. When I hit my occasional maximum of 20 likes, I'm happy. Though I wish more people would look at my art and let me experience some of the things other artists do like compliments or even relating my characters to other fictional ones (I don't mind when people do that)
shannara fryer I feel the same way 😅 my average is about 15-20 likes but I get really happy about it and appreciate each one it would be nice if more people could see it though
I've seen the algorithm destroy a person's confidence before. There was an artist who kept switching accounts because they were chasing likes (over 3 times within a year) and it broke my heart how their obsession with likes destroyed their confidence in their art and themselves. I'm really glad that Instagram is getting rid of other people seeing other people's likes, but it sucks that an algorithm is unintentionally affecting people in negative ways still
Yes, I agree with you. I was discouraged from posting online because of the stigma of likes. However, I realized watching this that its about having fun and loving what is drawn. I will definitely revisit my favorite artist 🔥🔥 Inspired again!
Glad to hear it! Sadly being discouraged from posting online means not creating at all for alot of people and that's what I hope this will start to help people stop doing.
ikr? I'm not even pursuing a career in the arts, but I felt curious about the topic as the video appeared as recommended. I just stayed till the end cause his voice gave me strong asmr vibes and relaxed me lol
A good friend and fellow artist warn me beforehand. "It's all marketing, doesn't matter if the actual piece is trash, how much time you spent on it. Likes ultimately mean nothing."
I stopped caring about the likes a long time ago, I’ve had many accounts on Instagram for various things and when they made it algorithm based, I knew there was no sense in caring about likes anymore. I see my favourite artists struggle and worry too much over the likes they get and it’s heartbreaking because they are creating such great work but the like count seems to make them feel inadequate. For that reason, I believe this change is great. The algorithm still needs tweaking because it’s brutal if you’re not posting regularly. Great video and I’m digging the face cam as well. 💚
Can I just say that I love your laid-back chill style thank you for not yelling at the video camera it is such a relief to hang out with someone who has a vibe instead of a used car salesman
I've a rather small page and I feel discouraged everytime I post a new drawing but watching your vids is like therapy, and getting up on my feet again. Thank you
Completely agree. That is basically the reason why I stopped to post on Instagram. I needed to concentrate to improve my art and take it on a industry level (Still not completely there but yeah). Still is quite hard to see the follower count decreasing every day
Hearing this was kind of a good grounding reminder. I feel ashamed to say I may be one of those artists that kind of lost my way, lost my motive for doing art? When I first started, it wasn’t about the likes; I made a website so I could share my art anonymously and not really be seen, only by people who liked the specific thing I drew (I draw fan art). And also to express things I couldn’t in my personal life. A safer anonymous space. Over time I grew my page, but I noticed the phenomenon of what you said - where I’d not draw something because I’d think “well people aren’t going to like this” or “I can’t draw THIS way because it doesn’t look good on Instagram format” etc? I got to around 80k+ followers this year and still don’t feel happy with my work. I feel like my work isn’t worth 80k. I feel like I hindered my progress because I draw the same/similar things and have limited myself to specific brands of fan art for so long. I’m making a point of trying new things. I opened commissions and I don’t post those, so that started giving me a bit of confidence in me drawing things solely for my commissioners and me. I want to remember that I draw to express myself and to make other people happy. Specific people with names and faces. It may be a simple goal but I feel like it’s my goal. Thank you for this video and many apologies for my rambles!
Thanks for sharing your input regarding art and the insta world. I just recently started sharing my artwork (and my writing) on my page and got sucked into the entire thinking of "geeze, my stuff must suck because no one is liking it"...I've had to turn off my notifications as well and quit posting so often just so that I could get my head back on straight. It's still a struggle, removing/hiding likes or not. I would just love for my art/writing to be able to resonate with people...that's my ultimate goal...I keep seeing this "pay to win" in the comments...if that's what Insta is turning into, it's time to change platforms.
Sandra G I also have been feeling that for the past couple of years! It’s really annoying because on the one hand I recognize the need to create to polish my skills and improve my process but on the other, I felt so discouraged from creating coz I seem to be losing traction on IG (having a close friend who suddenly amassed followers and likes for doing more ‘childish’ doodles just within less than a year did not help at all) Luckily, my saving grace has been doing art markets and actual exhibitions for the past year, else I would have gone bonkers!
Christine Ma I can totally understand where you’re coming from! Especially with the friend part!! We just have to keep at it. One day we just might be recognized for our hard work. Message me your instagram page! Would love to check it out! Mine is @zosia_writes...and great idea on the markets! I should look into that as well.
@@thehullowed7217 back then (I think until mid 2016) the timeline was chronological. So your post would be shown to basically everyone who followed you if they scrolled far enough in their timeline. Now your post only reaches about 10% of your followers...
Very good message, Josh. I appreciate that perspective a heap. Also, your voice is wonderful and this style of video feels very personable-like you're sitting in the room with me, just having a chat. It's actually helpful to me being focused on what you have to say.
I'm impressed by your voice, it's so amazing and soothing. Also, I agree with the idea of doing your own thing rather than doing something to impress others.
Me: "I love what I draw" Also me: "not post art in months" I regret nothing. Omgush dude lately people really like glen I should research about him. My favorite artists is an infinite number you included and the glen guy too.
For me, I just wanted to show people my creations.. I want them to get to know my characters and love them like how I do. I want to show them the stories that I had imagined and have fun reading them. I want the things I create to leave a mark to the world, THAT is why I became an artist in the first place. Yeah, for now I may not get too much likes or anything but that’s cuz I’m just starting out and that’s why I’m not that worried. But nevertheless thank you for this video~!
This is such an important message, I've just started sharing my illustrations on Instagram and I couldn't agree more. I'm trying my best to avoid the trap of only thinking of my audience and ignoring myself. Thank you!
Instagram is both helpful because my friends see my stuff, but it also hurts me because I compare. It's so unhealthy, and it's hard to stop. I'll keep doing my best.
I really like your view on this, especially when we tend to compare ourselves to other artists/bloggers/vloggers. It takes away from just being your own self and why you love what you do. Don't compete to play the game, people are going to enjoy something genuine more than anything else, and you'll feel better for being authentic.
I really love bright vibrant children’s art like from Dora and Friends and my little pony. I am aiming to illustrate my own stories with my art. I actually just started to care about Instagram and my audience so I don’t think it affects me that much yet.(I don’t even have 100 followers lol) however it is always good advice not to get caught up in others opinions.
This is so valuable and an important subject of reflection for all artists. As the mother of a child who longed to become an artist and grew up to be a professional artist, I have to send this to her. Bless you for sharing something true and important.

In my country likes are hidden since months now, i sincerely don't care about them, the REAL problem is that hashtags doesn't work anymore, they simple doesn't reach people anymore, i'm getting waaaay more likes from my followers than from hashtags (used to be the opposite before). My art account is very small, but i used to get waaaaaay more likes and comments when i was at the beginning of my digital art journey, and now that i've gained some skills (at least compared to before) i don't get any sort of likes, comments or reach anyone, it's very sad, to the point i don't even want to use the app anymore. And of course i'm using only relevant hashtags and not abusing of them.
You are so polite and gentle, thank you for your video, it was such a pleasing experience watching it. Sometimes we get so cought up in the business of using Instagram that the joy is lost.
So so glad i came across your channel!! You’re voicing all the struggles i didnt even know i had/have felt alone in as an artist. Art/design has always been my life but i want to experiment with it all (i always have tbf) to suit everyone’s needs and it’s turning myself/my goals into a big overwhelming mess.. which is showing on my instagram indefinitely. I wish i could go back to being 12 years old and drawing whatever i liked constantly fulfilling MYSELF instead of chasing some internet dopamine/“success”. I gotta go back to 12 year old me and gravitate to whatever makes my heart sing again, it always was a natural healing spiritual journey for me and it must stay as such!! Thanks for this video ❤️
Josh, this video has helped me so so much, Thank you. I've always been afraid to post my artwork online due to the fear of getting no likes. This video helped me see that likes are irrelevant and that enjoying myself is the whole point :) You, are one of my favourite artists and have always inspired me. I want to incorporate the fluidity of your artwork into mine, the freedom within it. It's never stiff or jagged, it just flows. I also aspire to use colour the way you incorporate colour into your finished pieces. You're great, Josh, thank you for sharing your talent, hard work and approach to art with the community
Thanks for this kind of video. I’m SOOO HAPPY to see there are many people, especially artists, who don’t want to become Instagram-driven nor Likes-addicted! ART POWER!!!
i have been posting art on my account only because i wanted to share it out with everybody. likes never made me feel anything, although comments did made me feel very proud of myself. That's why u will always find me commenting positive messages on new artists accounts so that they would also feel motivated and won't give up easily. And their is no doubt that algorithm is a mess , and i hate it.
I see your point and it's hard to see this as a positive thing. I'm not a young artist, but I def don't have any idea about my style, or what I'm all about - and seeing other art when I first open the app causes a massive amount of anxiety. Taking likes away won't really take that worry away...there's still the hundreds of comments, the massive follower amount, and knowing from memory just how popular a particular artist is. I hope this feeling will fade away, but thanks for trying to put a positive side to all this.
Keep going man! I just recently found your channel but you have been my background voice since esp. when I'm painting because I love the topics you're talking about and not to mention your soothing voice! I admire you as an artist too, let's growing together and find our way! Hats off for you
Thank you for this! I spend so much of my time after posting feeling dejected because i don't find myself getting any reach from my posts. This definitely helps reinforces for me what i should be focusing my energy on.
I’m an artist paint draw sketch every day for hours. I have ZERO artistic presence on social media. By design. I just like to create art I like to make myself happy
Wow, thank you so so much for this video! I've been thinking about stuff like this for the past few weeks, that I'm basically paying too much attention to all these numbers: likes/dislikes, views, watch-hours, subscribers, upvotes/downvotes... and it's negatively affecting my drive to do art. Comparing the counts of one artwork to another constantly baffled me to the point that I just stopped feeling excited about doing any artwork at all! The last few days I've been trying to stop focusing so much on the numbers. This video is the perfect inspiration for that. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Man, since last night i´ve seen about 4 of your videos, your really got a great way to talk about any topic. You are the big artist brother i never had! So much hard lessons in so few time. Saludos desde Córdoba, Argentina!
Im glad this is being added and I hope it stays, it seems that all people care about are likes and I feel it does impact profiles and art profiles. I often feel my page/art never gets seen no matter how many hashtags I use or promote it.
I'm pretty new to the world of drawing but as a kid I wanted to make a comic so I drew most of my life without knowing a lot of stuff and your videos help me a lot if it's with my drawings or what to do as an artist keep it up man
I appreciate this so much. Thank you for this video. I always have a small feeling inside of me that I do not bring out every time I as an artist post on Instagram. I do tend to focus on the likes, but I try to not make that a habit. I will post and immediately get off the app and usually that works. That first ten minutes after I post I try not to get to attached to the post and see what happens later on throughout the day. Thank a lot ErgoJosh!
This came up in my suggested videos and I wasnt sure why until I watched the entire piece.. Art has always been a big part of me even though I've studied other fields, my creativity always shines through and that made me happy. As a Caribbean girl I felt that I had a unique style and that was enough for me. Then I joined ig and for awhile I took part in dtiys contests and I never was 'sucessful' where my art was really acknowledged n I compared the number of likes n it really started to cloud my motivation for creating. This is why it's so helpful to have artists like you reach out and help us refocus on the 'why' of our expression and away from the popularity. Art popularity is based on taste and trend and shouldn't be the benchmark for success especially if you truly love to create and let your voice be heard. I know this is a long comment but from the bottom of my heart thank you 😊🙏 And keep the frank and inspirational videos coming. There is room for us all at the top😁
I normally don't comment on youtube videos but this is an exception. I've been on and off instagram for a couple years now, and you really captured the struggle that so many of us go through! I feel like this isn't talked about enough, and the consequences go far beyond making art to please the algorithm. In my case, it started to take a toll on my mental health too. So I've been taking a break for a few months, and I've been unbelievably happier. I finally was able to make art again just for the sake of it, and enjoying it just like I used to before I ever started an IG account. This video has inspired me to return to the platform with a new outlook. 2020 is the year for personal and artistic growth yall!! Also keep up the good work with your videos and art :)
well said. Quality isn't most prioritized by algorithmic popularity. also I think this change is mostly important for the mental health of so many social media users. The tech enabled these new levels of social neuroses. I think it's fair that the tech companies be the ones to disable what they created.
AHHHH thanks for watching! I'm not gonna lie I recognize you as Sara's boyfriend but nahh impressions are all about the numbers. If your heart is in the right place and you work hard you can still kill it without seeing a single analytic - which I can see you are
I can't really feel a way about my art on my page since it's mixed in with so much Nintendo posts, and pics of my familyS. so I don't really even know what I want the page to be. So I kinda want to move my work over to twitter. I see a lot of people who just use their page for their art, and look at mine and it's a mess. lol I do appreciate the likes thing, since now artists and just remember why they love to create.
i haven’t posted a drawing on ig or uploaded a video on youtube because i’m so deep in the process of trying to understand what i’m looking for with my art and what the point of it all is. this really helped me get an idea of what next step to take, i want to push myself to draw draw for the sake of enjoying my work. also your voice is the best thing the listen to after being up all night; it’s literally hot chocolate with cinnamon and whipped cream, i might just be exhausted and wanting breakfast but that doesn’t take away from the fact that you have a soothing voice, anyways great video!
I was gonna post something long-winded like "You're art is great and you seem like a great dude but of course you can say likes don't matter, you already have a following" but eh it's not like that gets anybody anywhere. I've been trying hard while trudging along in obscurity as a digital artist. But. We persevere. 'Bout to start my first oil painting. Fingers crossed.
great video man, I couldn't agree more. As of recent, like most people my engagement has been cut in half if not more and it is so frustrating because I feel like my work and quality of the content I post is so much better but is getting fewer likes and comments than stuff I've posted years ago. I also found myself trying to post stuff in search of likes and comments to get that validation and realized it wasn't helping my art career in any way. I took a step back and started painting random walls again, big, small, good, bad it is fun to just paint for the sole purpose of getting better and not for Instagram. I'm looking forward to IG hiding likes in hopes that people will just start posting whatever they want regardless of how it will perform I think then Instagram will be a lot more of a creative and collaborative space.
oh man I relate to what you’re saying. I am envious of artists who’s page/portfolio flows and is all a similar motif. Mine looks more like an art sharing page, I try many different styles and mediums and they tend to come out quite different. Just had a lady question if I even drew something ....... I just can’t seem to find a particular “style “, it’s just all over the place
I've always drawn what I've wanted to, but I think my issue is that my work varies so much from post to post that I don't have a specific audience to cater to. But part of me is ok with that because I'm not drawing for them, I'm drawing for me and sharing that with them. Remembering that distinction helps me not focus on likes so much and instead keep chugging along doing what I want to do and getting better in the process
You are articulate, kind spoken & factual so... where the heck have you been hiding?? I blame RUclips, for not introducing us sooner, lol. Please, keep the videos coming. You're great!! 🤗🌷
Hey Josh, when we're doing you pencil art earlier in your ig. What books did you learn from for study's? I like the concept of measurements and all that but I can't find a great source. Thanks you in advance.
I actually wasn't reading any books! I did research online about the loomis and reilly methods and kept using them until I found a way to understand them for myself. Now I don't need such strict guidelines (you will find they limit you at a certain point)
@@ergojosh but a good place to start would help. Limitations of not. U need to work on proportions and all that. I'm strictly traditional now to hone my craft. Thank you though.
Thank you Josh. I don't usually comment. But, I just wanna say thank you for this video. It really helped me to figure what I've been missing. I'm an artist, I've been really concerned about my content lately. Some people said my arts are pretty but I noticed that I received fewer likes the more I posted. I noticed some unfollowed me, I'm getting less followers too so I feel lost so it hit me whether my arts are getting less interesting. I always asked myself, "Maybe I haven't found my artstyle yet?" So I went through all my posts, I noticed that my artstyles are not consistent. Sometimes realistic, sometimes it looks semi-realistic. When I first started posting, I know nothing.. I just posted my arts for fun but then it started to affect me in some way. I always hear people said post 3 times a week or at least every week that's why I've been trying to get more followers but it wasn't successful. I tried too hard to create beautiful artwork just to get more likes. It doesn't help either. This video really speaks to me, I was shocked when I saw this on my feeds. It was everything that I need. So, thank you Josh!

Same, my art is always changing and u want it to change. I want to try all sorts of styles 😦
If you're learning, the best thing you can do is not care about likes. You're doing good bro
I don’t care how many likes my post gets as long as someone is taking time out of their day to see my art it’s all good. Art is not a competition it’s a journey of ones growth.
If you wanna do art almost every day, you’d have to make a job out of it..

Instgram removing likes and RUclips has this coppa bs happening
It’s the end of time all of it is the demise of all of social media until something better comes
Coppa bs? What's that?
@@temaki7016 Yea... I kinda forgot I only watched like one video about it...
my problem is that getting more likes means Instagram pushes your work to more people and you need a large amount of people to see your work in order to make a living as a freelancer so i just keep having to try to push past the algorithm... its the same with other social medias i feel like not caring about likes is a luxury for artists that already have an audience they make money with

@@ergojosh nope you can't. Im a portrait artist and fiber artist. And what I have learn over my course of 40 years, when you tell the story behind your work, people connects with it. @@4EverLoveDollsvery true! It is a level of connection that helps to "sell your art" or rather, YOU the artist help to sell whatever you create. I noticed over time I lost followers and likes. I have been slacking in drawing lately but I'm a busy person with two jobs and can't draw all the time like I used to in middle and high school

I feel this too. It's more like once I got back from work, I don't have the energy to draw & I'm constantly tired from my day job.

Hahah I had a feeling you’d notice and thanks!

Professional Overthinker ! I’ll try my best :)

You literally have the perfect audio book voice omfg
Josh, this video has helped me so so much, Thank you. I've always been afraid to post my artwork online due to the fear of getting no likes. This video helped me see that likes are irrelevant and that enjoying myself is the whole point :) You, are one of my favourite artists and have always inspired me. I want to incorporate the fluidity of your artwork into mine, the freedom within it. It's never stiff or jagged, it just flows. I also aspire to use colour the way you incorporate colour into your finished pieces. You're great, Josh, thank you for sharing your talent, hard work and approach to art with the community
Oh you have the Bible app, a man of god I see
Thanks for this kind of video.
RIP to the "keep the likes and comments equal" posts
That only applies for celebrity artists and the famous mainstream one but yup
Keep going man! I just recently found your channel but you have been my background voice since esp. when I'm painting because I love the topics you're talking about and not to mention your soothing voice! I admire you as an artist too, let's growing together and find our way! Hats off for you
Why do you lowkey sound like a professional voice actor or ASMRtist? 😂
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

First time watching one of this guys videos and hears his voice
Me: dang that’s a deep voice!
Well, for once the RUclips algorithm recommends me something relevant. I definitely needed to hear this, Thank you 🙏🏾
I love seeing these comments haha, you are most welcome!
He is talking about a unique voice...
Does he even know how he sounds?
I receive that and I hope the same for you in 2020!
My whole life was a lie. I though you just a pair of floating hands :0
well said.
Quality isn't most prioritized by algorithmic popularity.
also I think this change is mostly important for the mental health of so many social media users. The tech enabled these new levels of social neuroses. I think it's fair that the tech companies be the ones to disable what they created.
I make RUclips videos for a living, and I’m realizing how bad I am at my job, because I have no idea about impressions or anything 😂
AHHHH thanks for watching! I'm not gonna lie I recognize you as Sara's boyfriend but nahh impressions are all about the numbers. If your heart is in the right place and you work hard you can still kill it without seeing a single analytic - which I can see you are
John Hill here? 😳😳😳
Good stuff. It is nice to see your development from the initial sketches. This is a much better message than the marketers continually push.
I can't really feel a way about my art on my page since it's mixed in with so much Nintendo posts, and pics of my familyS. so I don't really even know what I want the page to be. So I kinda want to move my work over to twitter. I see a lot of people who just use their page for their art, and look at mine and it's a mess. lol
I do appreciate the likes thing, since now artists and just remember why they love to create.
i haven’t posted a drawing on ig or uploaded a video on youtube because i’m so deep in the process of trying to understand what i’m looking for with my art and what the point of it all is. this really helped me get an idea of what next step to take, i want to push myself to draw draw for the sake of enjoying my work. also your voice is the best thing the listen to after being up all night; it’s literally hot chocolate with cinnamon and whipped cream, i might just be exhausted and wanting breakfast but that doesn’t take away from the fact that you have a soothing voice, anyways great video!
Thats great! I encourage you to keep it up and take breaks because it is quite a difficult process. And many thanks haha.
I wish there was a social media platform solely for art (with a nice community not hating bc of what you draw)

oh man I relate to what you’re saying. I am envious of artists who’s page/portfolio flows and is all a similar motif. I just can’t seem to find a particular “style “, it’s just all over the place

An excellent video sharing the pitfalls of social media. THANK YOU. And I must say I LOVE your voice. I could listen to you for hours.
No. I don’t rely on Instagram likes to affect my happiness IN THE LEAST. Thank God above for that.....I am awake
It’s weird seeing his deep voice come from a person’s mouth

The past two videos I watched from you made me cry. I’m also ovulating. Lol but still...
Awesome and so true, I am just getting started and wooow cannot wait to really focus on my message and not be influenced by likes or other stuff. Thank you!
PRoblem is- even though likes are hidden- they're probably still a factor for the amount of exposure that Instagram will give you for that image :\
You are such an inspiration. Always opening our eyes. Thanks Josh!
