With Central Tyria Mastery points really only focusing on achievements, it can be hard to determine which ones you should be aiming for and kind of time consuming to get them all as well. Here's a list of mastery points I thought were the easiest that could possibly help you max your mastery lines out. Below you'll see the list if you want to copy and paste it to a notepad file for yourself as well too. Hope you enjoyed this video on how to get central Tyria mastery points and the easiest Central Tyria mastery points, subscribe for more awesome GW2 guides!

Re: Dive Mastery
Uhh, no. This entire achievement hinges on the Not So Secret jumping puzzle, which should be renamed "Not so subtle Fuck You". This one dive point alone makes this not a particularly easy point to get. Be prepared for at least an hour, and probably much more, of pure maddening insanity. The ledges are extremely narrow, one screw up means you'll likely have to start over, and that IF you don't die, you have to choose between the dive or the end chest, and even then, going for the goggles means that if you screw up, you WILL die. Lastly, after you get them, the jump itself is behind a false wall, and the fall is narrow. It's exceedingly easy to miss your mark and, again, die, even after all that.
in the dive master achievement, there's a crazy JP called i think "not so secret" , probably stopped many of us, here are a few notes about it:
1. there are two paths one to finish JP and one for the diving goggles, so you have to choose do you want to get the JP achiev. (10 points) or just the dive goggle, because you will have to do it twice to get both.
2. when you get to the dive goggle spot, there is a specific method to drop yourself in order not to die on the way down, STAND IN THE MIDDLE of the platform, then back flip (double press S) and do NOTHING on the way down, you will drop down perfectly and get it :)
hope this helps!
Thanks a ton for putting that up, I was getting desperate with the sheer number of achievments vs. not knowing what's best to do. All of your other guides are great too, subscribed
Thanks so much, glad you're enjoying the content!
I literally exactly needed 15 for the legendary crafting like you said in the beginning of the video. Thanks for this, saved me a lot of effort of puzzling out which ones to prioritize 🤘
Diving points mastery is not easy at all because of that insane jumping puzzle
yeah the author of the video did not think this through at all, it's mostly a waste of time
Most JPs can be cheesed (videos on YT) with mounts or gizmos, including Not so Secret, which I'm assuming is the one you are referring to.
Would still agree it's not the easiest and I maxed out all the core tyria masteries w/o doing it due to never wanting to do that much time.
Edit: forgot how hard it is to hit the water on NsS as well. I can get up there easy enough with a Scale. But I'll stay up there to help people and would guess most people take something like 4-5 jumps to get it and a number just give up because keep missing.
So wish you came back I miss these guides an your Gw2 focus fun :) I hope your doing well!!!
If it helps, the ascended spoon trinket that you need for the koutalophile achievement can be purchased in a number of ways depending on what currency you have. I know it's sold by laurel vendors and I think it might also be available for magnetite shards as well.
+Hoodlington it is
+Hoodlington That is correct, which is a good alternate if you really don't have the chance to do guild missions.
Very helpful! Just started working on my first legendary, a gen 2, so I need that scholar of secrets. Last central tytia mastery.
Dude, You are awesome. I was about ready to quit the game. I got to 80 in about 3 days, started Heart of Thorn but my mastery points for Tyria was not going up. Now I know why... this helps a ton. Thanks
No problem, enjoy the game! Thanks for watching!
You missed giant jungle worm (4 points) and world completion (one). They are all relatively easy
Excellent advice! There's about a dozen you listed that I've been overlooking.
+Frank Drebbin Glad you found it helpful!
This would have been uploaded last night if Adobe Premiere Pro didn't give me a headache, haha. Hope you guys enjoy, and hopefully the back-to-back double render quality loss isn't noticeable.
diving not so eassy when in jumping puzzle.. I hate it
Thanks for this help, I finally farmed enough MP.
I quit GW2 months ago because I couldn't get Mastery Points (Tyria ones).
It seemed like everything I was doing was just wasting exp that would have gone to learning a mastery so I got frustrated and stopped playing.
I'll try again after seeing this guide. Thx ^-^
You're very welcome, glad you found it helpful!
This is EXACTLY what I needed.
Wow, this video was made during the heart of thorns expansion.
That was so long ago.
Not So Secret is one of the hardest Jumping Puzzles in the game. You can't do both achievements at the same time. You either have to get the chest at the end by jumping off of an air balloon, or keep climbing to get the goggles, only to die on the way down. May the Six Gods Bless anyone porting to the goggles. Tip them.
This is EXACTLY the type of walk through I need.
I'm a flitty player, and a definite altaholic, so I haven't covered the range you'd expect.
Many thanks :-)
+TC Roleplayer Glad you found it helpful, and you're very welcome!
Keutilophile requires the super elusive Commander's Spoon from WvW, thus making it quite annoying for a lot of people. I recommend grabbing the masteries given by Triple Trouble. While pugging isn't worth it both NA and EU have communities that daily kill the wurm, just look them up (a good one for EU is gw2community.com). This should give you at least 4 mastery points, or 5 if you go for just a few more than the first 3 kills (1 on each head).
+mastarwe I'll need to check that out I still don't have TT.
It's really helps me out a lot !
+星塵創世 Awesome, good luck!
Easiest ones to get are by doing Story quests (even if you boost to 80) - then you get 8 by doing Living World Season 2.
By doing this for 5 different race characters you can get like 20 MPs
Then you can get like 10 MPs for doing idiotic things in various Fractals.
I now only need like 12 MPs to finish every Tyrian mastery line
Awesome work, and thanks for the extra info!
Gaming with GS I sorta made my own video (even being the noob I am) - hope you don't mind ^^'
Eleiyas That's fine :)
Eleiyas You can run the story with a different race and get MP for each of them?
Thank you very much, this is a tremendous help!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
I think the "amber" & "crimson" MP are easy as long as there is an effort going on to do them. I got "crimson" the first time I tried to do triple trouble and "amber" the second time. Took 3+ tries to get "cobalt" though.
Nice that at least the community can help lessen the pain of the utter incompetence of the anet designers.
as returning player you even have to regrind to be able to even spend the points you already got.
mastery points seems like a complete time waster, don't get who thought "you know what this game needs. more pointless grind that does nothing but allow getting through pointless gating".
i didnt mind it being in the heart of thorns map only. It was like a new style of hero points...but in all the map sections...that pushed it.
well...looks like I'm buy Living World season 2
Finally someone did this for me...
+Sadrien Nightshade Ditto, was surprised myself that no one had made a video on this yet :P
Firstly - thank you so much for this video! I've now bookmarked it because I keep coming back to watch it even though I also wrote a checklist for myself with all of your recommendations, lol. I finally finished the personal story of my lvl 80 character and I believe I only got 8 points total, one per chapter. I've been wondering how/why you say that personal story is worth 11 points. Am I missing 3 points somewhere? I know I'm also a few years late with really getting into gw2, so I've been wondering if there's less points available now than there were 3 years ago. Any help solving this mystery would be appreciated. I'm almost done with the spoon collection now and some of the other achievements, though. Thanks again!
Tequato. Awesome video very helpful thanks a lot
Wonderfull guide! Again GS you show how great mentor you can be! Thanks a lot!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy the content!
"Walkthrough"? I disagree. Pretty much everything he say, can easily be found in the Achievements section in-game.
dankies for the video and that asura is adorable lol.
I think you missed one. I believe you can get a MP by completing all dungeon stories.
yes thats another one :)
Dneibs
+halley martin You're welcome Hallez
I've been trying to get 'The Executioner' silverwastes boss for months. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch. Great video!
Just have to sit in SW and play a bit there, usually people give a shout in map chat when they appear.
Look for RIBA farms on LFG, the bosses usually appears in crowded maps
thanks for this great video!
+Jarin Wouters No problem, glad you enjoyed!
Good quick guide. I've never done fractals, just wondering if some of the easy ones u mentioned in there can be soloed or duoed?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed, they are very hard to solo, some have done it though.
video starts at 2:13
eughhh 40 laurels for one spoon
Yep... not the best way to use laurels, but oh well.
I did the personal story and got a grand total of 1 mastery point. Why didn't I get the others?
While you have some good kbes and good advice in many the video is for easy mastey pionts yes liveing world season 2 can give you up to 16 pionts and story completion ones are easy many of the achiements ones are supper hard i did all 4 of tripple trouble and so far their easyer then one of the livejng world acheiemts ones
What do you do if you you can't do the living world season 2 episodes and achievements?
I got a question... I just finished the main story, I'm level 80 and bought the three expansions. Do I need to do all these things you show in the video (and more small things like that) in order to build my mastery rank? So XP now is useless?
Please someone clarify this to me, as if it is the way I think, I kinda regret buying the expansions, as I like leveling up, not doing small things to get rewards that I eon't even use (maybe)
80 is the max level so you won't _(strictly speaking)_ be levelling up anymore but you'll still gain XP and you'll rank up your "mastery". These masteries can provide huge quality of life (like auto-loot, fractal mistlock, mount improvement, gliding etc.) and to unlock these _(once reached)_ you'll need the mastery points shown in this video. If you decide not to do the mastery points, your XP bar will 'lock' and you'll have a hidden XP bar which will give you spirit shards instead when full.
TLDR yes, I strongly recommend you do these things...
@@leontermote7885 yeah I found my answers shortly after asking!! Thank you anyways for the time and help, it will help others if they see it!!
you are awesome...thank you very much :)
+Susan thank you im glad i could help you :)
You rock! Thank you!
How easy are the story achievements? :o
where are the masteries on the maps?
Do you need 49 MP to craft legendary? I'm currently trying to get incinerator, still long way to go though
Hopefully people that do the fractals ones, already got their personal level high, because your forced to get your level up in order to go to each. like urban requires lvl 4 now.
will i get 11 points of tyria mastery everytime i do the entire "my story" chapter with a character?
No,you will get them only one time.
That's right one time per account.
Is it 11 points per account or per race per account?
Sykout Per account.
I did my story when I wasn't level 80. Can I still get the mastery points with another character?
living world 2 , is like what 10 hours for 8 points?
Easiest way = Pay! "great help "
what's the good way to level up for masteries on Tyria?
That one dungeon farm CoF.
exp dungeons, fractals, SW/DT meta events, world bosses (Tequatl in particular)
thx already maxed Tyria :)
Hi! Ty for this. What's the best way to farm gold in game (besides my credit card T_T)?
Farm the Trick or Treat Bags from the Halloween event, make sure you have Advanced Logistics mastery in Pact Commander. Get 250 of stacks, sell all of them, make tons of gold.
What if I did season 2 living world before the release of Hot? Will I get the mastery point for doing it again?
+Harrison Nguyen yes.
I've done almost every achievement for the mastery points but I don't have HoT yet.... when I'll get it, the points will be unlocked or I must complete the achievements again?
You do not need to do them again.
Thank you :)
uhg... guide on "buy your mastery points"
Where can you buy living world 1 and 2? I logged into my account page and didn't see it for purchase. I'm guessing you can't get it anymore?
You can't buy living world season 1, no longer available, however, season 3 can be bought through the story panel in the hero panel.
Except the last Pact mastery doesn;t worth it, what about Maguuma mastery points? That ones I need in abudence :/
Those are easy, many points you get from just finding areas and pressing F, as for experience just do the story and do the new maps.
Seriously buy with Gold ?
It takes me forever just to get up 50 Gold. Ive been playing along time and can never get over 100 Gold :(.
I know I suck at playing online games but there should be another way of getting Gold.
Not going to buy Blue Gems, to expensive....
*sigh*
There are a lot of ways to get gold. Some players make 3000 gold a week (not farming).
Sweet potato pie :O
Please tell me how please... Im so tired of farming for scraps. :(
Sean Ballensky silverwastes
please work on your sound quality, its quite low and inaudible at times. other than that the content is good so keep it up
Awesome, glad you found it helpful, and thanks for watching!
SBI
+Daniel Lundstrom Yes!
+Gaming with GS awesome man, I'm on it too, if you ever WvW i tag up once a day names B R U
Daniel Lundstrom Oooh SBI Commander in the building, nice to know!
gw2 sucks on soo many fronts... especially with this mastery... without searching guides you cant do crap in this fucking game
Many people have relied on exploration and found them.
who the fuck have time for exploration... you need to grind hard to get good gear
Absolute garbage video! You keep on repeating how easy it is, and that it's no grind. Both are WRONG!
Living World 2. Yes, you get 8 just by doing it. But getting the last 8, means getting 60, yes SIXTY, achievements (not counting assosiated metas). That IS a grind, and many are NOT easy.
Dive Master. This means doing the "Not so Secret" jumping puzzle, which is the worst one in the entire game, imo. NOT easy. I've seen so many give up already when jumping from the ship through the pillars below, because most players keeps falling over and over already here, due to getting attacked from below, meaning too short jumps. And that's only like 5-10% of the puzzle done.
And btw, Dive Master requires 38 dives. That IS a grind. For ONE single MP.
The world bosses. Only a select few of them are currently being bothered with, at least on EU side. Which means those in Silverwastes and Dry Top (and more) are close to UNdoable.
Exactly... I am missing 15 mastery points to complete central Tyria masteries.. and naturally i came across this video. Found Tequal and Queen Karka events pretty soon, so thats two mastery points down. But that queen on Dry Top, i never seen that.
Dive Master is probably the hardest because of that jumping puzzle, gave up on that one. Also that spoon achievement takes 5 to 10 gold, killing npc's in WvW and doing something in fractals as well, so not so simple.
I think ill do Silverwastes collecting lost badges, Lions arch exterminator and maybe a boss or two will be active done, people seem to be active at Triple Trouple it seems.
And, off course..map completion. If you are in similar situation as me ( missing 15-ish mastery points for central Tyria ) recommend you try that if you want.
I am alos on EU side, so you should see the same activity of those mentioned as i have.
STATUE!!! DISLIKED
extremly useless. when you speak about any achievement show the name etc...
