@@MrSmith1984 that could be a huge factor. I just feel there doesnt seem to be a long term plan football wise at the club. Only giving Hannah Dingley 2 weeks in charge also didnt help. It feels like people are starting to use the results to make political points now.

But I don't really know much about the team at all so be interesting to find out
While the perception is that players are excessively overpaid for kicking a ball a few times a week, the reality is, the competition to get that pay check is extremely cutthroat and cruel. Sometimes it even takes chance encounters to make it despite your talent. Just look at players like Vardy and Martinelli, they could have easily stayed in the lower leagues if not for the scouts that discovered them. Having joined a prestigious academy isn’t always a guarantee.
#thepeopleschannel a video on the Bangladesh premier league and the rise of Bashundhara kings would be good A team who went into the top flight after promotion and won the last four league titles now! Are they the next Newcastle? Are they a team to keep a eye on next few years? Thanks Alfie 😊
Simon Mingolet was a very good shot stopper, good reflexes but his distribution was horrible and on high balls into the box he was weak and teams would exploit that. Karius was a cheap option who they thought would command the box better and be good with distribution but mentally he couldn't cope. Nathaniel Clyne was good defender and was strong but underwhelming going forward. Martin Skrtel is a Liverpool legend, world class defender, brave, a warrior, strong full of heart and passion. Perhaps just a bit too much of an "old fashioned defender" for Klopp's style. Mamadou Sakho despite his gangly awkward style, looked a bit like a baby deer on ice was immense. Looked like the next big thing. He was a tower at the back. I only assume mentally he had some weakness because he was very good. Alberto Moreno full of running, showed some promise and skill but very little end product and couldn't really defend properly. Lucas Leiva after a slow start to his Liverpool career grew to become a legend. Before his knee injury looked like the best defensive midfielder in the world. Never really reached that lofty level he has reached before his knee injury was a solid squad player for the rest of his career. Emre Can brought some much needed strength and size to what had become a lightweight Liverpool squad. Skill full on the ball and confident always asking for the ball, wouldn't shy away from tackles or taking a man on. Looked like he was going to become a world class player and sometimes played like one but often showed a lack of football intelligence. Would keep the ball too long, often wouldn't see an easy pass to open the other team up, maybe a little selfish with the ball. James Milner natural leader and could pay almost everywhere on the pitch. Always gave everything he had, high football intelligence, a warrior. Any team in the world would want him in their squad. Adam Lallana was injury prone but when he was healthy was world class, he just wasn't healthy a lot. Would never shy away from asking for the ball even when closely watched by defenders was skillful and confident with the ball, always could do a little twist step over and turn and find space. A great midfielder to have in the opponent's half. Philippe Coutinho a world class player, a game changer, could find a goal from nowhere but was also a lightweight, would go missing in tight physical games, seemed to need 5 or 6 matches after an injury layoff to get going again. The modern game seems to have evolved and passed him by and he wasn't able to adapt. A player that would have shone back in the 80s or 90s in a free role just off the main striker. Divock Origi was a Liverpool legend. A fast skillful strong striker who could find the back of the net and create goals from nothing could back up to strong central defenders and win long balls and hold the ball up he unfortunately rarely got played in his preferred position and was also a confidence player. He needed several matches in a row to get his confidence up and he was never going to get that under Klopp. Not really a Klopp type striker, before his ankle injury looked like he was going to become world class but maybe a victim of being too nice a guy. Seemed like a very intelligent and likeable young man and maybe needed a bit more fire in his belly to really become world class-but after a run of games the skill and ability was there. Adam Bogdan no idea don't remember seeing him. Kolo Toure likeable squad player. Not bad but was getting a little slow by the time he came to Liverpool. Connor Randall didn't do anything wrong but was average. Juan Carlos Texeira lots of hype but never really seemed to make an impression. Joe Allen good with the ball, skillful player but not quite at Liverpool's level. Jordan Ibe decent fast winger but had no end product or football intelligence. Jerome Sinclair was a lot of hype about him but that was all.
Liverpool gave Milly what city couldnt, what his career deserved, CL winners medal, city may have finally won it, but lets not forget the 7 years as losing favourites before that

7 most common set pices in association football.
I believe they made the final of the League Cup in his first season too
They lost to Manchester City, who went on to become a serial rivals of Liverpool under Pep Guardiola when it comes to Premier League title race.
Loved the Ndidi cameo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
mignolet never got to play with van dijk. he always played behind sakho, skrtel or lovren. he wasn't bad, he just had no confidence because of the poor defence in front of him
He definitely wasn't good enough
Škrtel with hair is just weird.
UNLUCKY😂 never gets old, good old Lucas leiva 😂🔥
Maybe you can make a video about Guirassy who is banging in for stuttgart
I love your vids bro but I could watch the vid today on 1.5 speed n still keep up 🤣
Hey Alfie love your content man. Just wondering if you have been keeping up with the Forrest Green Rovers situation. Seems like some fans are starting to turn on the owernship saying that being "woke" has destroyed the club. Would love to know your thoughts.
Hasn't Forest Green Rovers been "Woke" since Vince took over in 2010?
And quite honestly; if he hasn't taken over, they would still be in Non-League to be fair...
@@MrSmith1984 I aggree they are much better off since the take over. But since Rob Edwards left things havent been great. There may be something to the argument that the clubs philosophy might be stopping them from recruiting from a larger talent pool.
@@eshmaelmlambo9682
Would this be because Vince is unwilling to meet a certain level of transfer fees and salaries? Or are there other factors at play such as political ones?
@@MrSmith1984 that could be a huge factor. I just feel there doesnt seem to be a long term plan football wise at the club. Only giving Hannah Dingley 2 weeks in charge also didnt help. It feels like people are starting to use the results to make political points now.
@@eshmaelmlambo9682
From what I could see (I find the sacking of Dignley to be strange considering Vince's previous comments about her), I suspect all this has happened because Vince probably believes he's taken FGR as far as he could (considering his financial resources)...and has either lost interest or doesn't know where to go from here.
I would say that he would be wise to sell the club to someone who can take them to the next level. The issue is, who would be interested?
Wow!!!Liverpool did have a good squad to galvanise the team slowly to be a champion in one of my official nations and be replicating their past successes during the 1970's and 1980's,good friends!!!:-D
what
@@malcs286That Liverpool squad was not that good but they did not slowly galvanise the side to improve on their standing first, good friend!!!🏋️♂️😊
Skrtel was not a world beater but he was solid in a rotation and always a goal threat on set pieces or corners
That Lucas meme cracks me up every time 😂
Impressive pronunciation and good critique.
13:00 what do you mean by this analogy?
Ibe will always be a mystery. thought he would at least make a decent championship player.
In all fairness to Martin Skrtel he’s 38 years old and has always said he’d finish his career at his childhood club.
Maybe he should do one for Forest when Platt was manager.
What On Earth Is Going On At Sampdoria?
Or at Schalke 04. Both are big clubs in relegation battle in second divisions of their country
@@olm8829Alfie already made a video on FC Schalke
Sampdoria was even worse. They could be demoted to Serie D just like Palermo, Catania, Parma, and Bari. Their financial was also in trouble.
@@ezraezra2928 This absolutely deserves a What on Earth is Going On Video
Nice one Alf
I don't know of any LFC supporter who thought Mignolet was bad. Good keeper, made a mistake but still good though :) For Martin Skrtel, he actually made a promise to his childhood team to play for them. So that's nice.
He wasn't good enough that's for sure
pundits and non-pool fans always slag Origi off but seems he is a legend for pool fans?
0:00 How many?? Listened to this part ten times and still can't hear how many years.
Its insane almost being liverpool manager for 10 yeara and the squad is complete different like chelsea lmak
Mignolet wasnt a bad goalie...he just isnt at world class level like Alisson.
Divock Origi IS a Liverpool legend!
What are you talking about mate of course Origi is a Liverpool legend he was massive for us
I've watched the whole thing just to know who runs a fried chicken shop.
Jordan Ibe just signed for National League side Ebbsfleet United
"indeed" then goes on to show Ndidi😂... Epic edits
Should have done this a year again, it's hitc 7 isn't it?
Such a big fan of Adam Lallana. I wish he could've stayed fitter for longer.
Owning a chicken doesn't sound too bad
Slaughtering that chicken and deep-frying it does sound bad though...
...for the chicken, that is. For the rest of us, yum!
Mad that Jordan Ibe couldnt get games in the Turkish 2nd division or for Derby. He was premier league player. He really should be getting games at lower division clubs. Something must be wrong with him mentally &/or physically that he has fallen so far.
He has mental health problems from a interview a few years ago and lost his interest in the sport
joe allen was in the euro 2016 team of the season lol
Great as always mate, but the last entry came across a bit harsh. You chuckled at the lad now working a normal job, no need for that
Owning a fried chicken restaurant might not be as glamorous, but if it’s successful he can still make a great living.
If youre going to consider Lucas a Liverpool Legend, then Origi is definitely a lfc legend.
The best signing Liverpool have ever made....
You can't overstate just how miraculous even one Bundesliga Title with Dortmund is considering their spursey bottlejob nature and the man got two under his belt.
wish to see more about Salah, i feel he isnt talked about enough
Do Brendan Rodgers's first Starting XI At Liverpool: Where Are They Now? next
Alfie, given the current situation in the Middle East, would you be interested in making a video on the game in Palestine? Or perhaps one on the Palestinian national team?
There stadium has been destroyed yesterday again (was destroyed in 2006, parts in 2012) and FIFA actually funded the rebuild in 2019 but still play most games in Lebanon because of apartheid and Israel in control of clean water, electricity, and dosent allow aid or people into Gaza majority of time. But I don't really know much about the team at all so be interesting to find out
To be fair to coutinho, during his time at Barcelona he was loaned to Bayern for a season and won the Champions League with them
Without even playing
@@Johnnodonoughue 23 games 8 goals, mainly in the champs league but alright
20:18 well well well
13:00 I don’t understand what he is referring to here 😂
While the perception is that players are excessively overpaid for kicking a ball a few times a week, the reality is, the competition to get that pay check is extremely cutthroat and cruel. Sometimes it even takes chance encounters to make it despite your talent. Just look at players like Vardy and Martinelli, they could have easily stayed in the lower leagues if not for the scouts that discovered them. Having joined a prestigious academy isn’t always a guarantee.
Lucas is a LEGEND😊
Still think they should have given the job to his brother, Klippity
🤣🤣🤣
#thepeopleschannel a video on the Bangladesh premier league and the rise of Bashundhara kings would be good
A team who went into the top flight after promotion and won the last four league titles now!
Are they the next Newcastle? Are they a team to keep a eye on next few years? Thanks Alfie 😊
Now one this. Imagine if you do his for most top team muchless all. Good one.
Jerome Sinclair was a lot of hype about him but that was all.
bert trautmann vid (as a citizen i need others to know we have a history 😆)
Ahh the Nazi who never apologized for being one but became a famous footballer here
Day 1 of asking for a video on Eden Hazards career and what could have been
Liverpool gave Milly what city couldnt, what his career deserved, CL winners medal, city may have finally won it, but lets not forget the 7 years as losing favourites before that
I wish Milner never left
It's funny that all the clubs that klopp has managed all sing 'you'll never walk alone'
He'll be manager of celtic next 😂
