This is a great idea. And I like how you are adamant that it not be called a 'painting', like some artists do. It's great - the customer gets what they want and it's less work than repainting a new painting! You GO girl!
"When the apron's on, work is gonna get done." That's brilliant. You blew my mind with that one. It is so much less intimidating to put on an apron, then putting it on represents the beginning of the work. No looking at a canvas, no worrying about what to paint, no consideration of painting chores. Just put the apron on and go from there. I normally just paint in my work clothes, but now I'm going to buy an apron or smock so that it can help shift my brain into paint mode.
*Little suggestion:* When you reference another painting (ie. Tofino Sky @ 3:35) can you put a little thumbnail (or still photo) on the screen so we can see what it looks like?! That would be great! Thank you in advance. I'm loving the new videos! ❤
I would love to know how do you edit/simplify, for example, the background forest. I see the big trees on the foreground, but when i look at a reference picture, i get lost in the details of the background. All those smaller trunks, and foliage, i don't know how to translate into a canvas, without painting eveything that i see. This is what i love about your impressionist type paintings, you don't paint details, but they are still there. ❤
Where do you get the printing of these canvases done? Are they printed on canvas? Do you stretch them yourself? Is there a special way to stretch a printed canvas?

Could we please see a shot of the original painting, followed by the finished embellished painting? Thankyou.
I will have to do that for another painting! This original is sold!

Hi Julia, what is your favorite canvas red?

Is it wird to say that I squint my eyes and see shapes and tones?

hi, love your art, colours just make me happy. am I understanding that in this video, you are actually adding your embellishments on a print?
Where do you get the printing of these canvases done? Are they printed on canvas? Do you stretch them yourself? Is there a special way to stretch a printed canvas?
I have them done professionally by my printer.
Do you varnish all prints on canvas or just the embellished ones? Thanks for your amazing work!
Everything! They ask get an archival finish!
Thanks for sharing. That work was beautiful. Can I ask what you use to varnish the prints that you painted on? /
Liquitex water based varnish!
Do you pre-embellish prints to show buyers the embellished work? Or doing those embellishments only after purchase?
After. Sometimes I have embellished prints ready but those were not preordered.
