I make small Christmas projects - sometimes one for myself and then one or more of the same pattern, but in different fabrics, for gifts. My favorites are a pieced snowman wall hanging from a purchased pattern, a primitive machine appliqued Santa wall hanging from a pattern that came as a free sample for pattern cards, and a paper pieced crazy quilt-like table topper made from Christmas fabrics. Something else I do is use Christmas fabric for the backing of table toppers or table runners. When the Christmas season comes, I flip the pieces over and set up Christmas decoration displays on them.
Love your Scandi quilt! That is going on my list…..which is quite long. I made the snowflake last year for a wedding gift. I went off a picture and did a black, grey buffalo check with a white snowflake. It was gorgeous and burned through every grey fabric I had!😂 Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful quilts, love the snow flake I think I'd like to make it in blues, but I love trees to. I saw a santa jacket quilt I thought was adorable maybe next year, it's on Pinterest
Your joy quilt just made it's way to my want to make list!!! I also want to make a snowflake quilt. Either the one you showed or one that's was free on Pat Sloans channel a few years ago 😅. Too many quilts! Too little time. 😊
I just fell in love with the star spangled quilt, but done in Xmas prints. Reds on one side and greens on the other. I'm going to make one for each of my kids.
Love your JOY wall hanging. I also have SOOOO many quilts I want to make, including the giant snowflake pattern you shared. I have that pattern on my top 5 to make. My favorite time to quilt is fall and winter, and of course they are Halloween and Christmas 🎄 quilts. So many plans, so little time… the story of quilters. 😉❤️
Great Christmas quilts! Christmas is one of the themes that there are soooo many cute quilt designs made for that yes, you will not live long enough to make them all but it will be fun trying, LOL!! A tip regarding your daughter's snowflake quilt: if you'd like to enjoy it more often, know that the great thing about Red and White quilts (particularly those with a "Winter" theme) is that you could leave them out after Christmas right up until Valentine's Day or bring them back out for that holiday. I got to make two of the "must make" quilts on my list for "Christmas In July" sewing this year: I finally did a MODA's "Letters To Santa" from their 2022 QAL. I got the center words done and it's now only awaiting the addition of borders. I used the scraps from that project and additional cuts from my Christmas stash and (again finally) have a 2-1/2 inch Scrap Squares checkerboard quilt ala Pat Sloan in progress. I purchased panel yardage with squares of holiday sayings that will be disbursed among the scrap squares. I will also use some of those scrap squares to make a Patchwork Bow from the online tutorial by Liza Taylor Handmade. I'm hoping to use that to decorate a grapevine wreath during the holidays. As you said, so many ideas, so little time!!
Of course, I'm seeing this video 9 months after you made it. I LOVE Christmas quilts, but like you, I'm running out of room to store/display them. The ones I want to make I do have kits for, just need to make them. 1 - The MSQC Christmas version of Antique Lace. I made one one year and a missionary friend asked me to make one for her. I just gave her mine and swore I'd make another. 2 - MSQC Into the Woods, 3 - Christmas Treats by Basic Grey with Peppermint Bark fabrics. 4 - The Star pattern that you are wanting to make. I found a kit at a quilt show. I don't remember if it came with the sparkle embellishments or not. I'd have to check thee kit. I don't know if I'll get to them this year or not. But those are on my wish list.
Thanks for sharing your quilts...so fun! FQS has a free pattern called snowflake that is fun to make. I made it 3 times..once in Christmas colors, once in blue and white for a winter quilt and once in beachy fabrics for a gift. I want to make a Christmas tree quilt next. Just have to decide which pattern!
Ooohhhh!!! That snowflake pattern from Modern Handcraft is on my bucket list too! So many great Christmas quilts- so little time to make them all!!! 😂💕💕💕
I really enjoyed seeing your Christmas quilts. You are so talented and I love your attitude about jumping in! I'm brand spanking new, so maybe I would try that wreath quilt. Looks like maybe squares and HSTs? Either way, Merry early Christmas! :)
I only made a Xmas tree wall hanging this year, very cute, but I am all set for the first quarter of 2024 with at least 7 quilt patterns to choose from. I enjoy watching podcasts for the reason of seeing so many beautiful quilts being created by others that I am not aware of also. 😀
Yes on SO MANY PATTERNS! I used to knit socks. I have over 700 socks patterns (most are PDFs) and I won’t admit how many mittens patterns. The paper quilt patterns still fit in a single file drawer so I consider myself good. For now. Your daughter did a great job on the snowflake quilt fabrics. You did a great job on assembly. You’ve made a diverse range of patterns!
Hey, Fallon! I love your quilts! I focus on seasons, rather than recognized holidays.I just put up my Gnomes in Winter wall hanging, and it will stay up until April or when the snow is gone. I really don’t have storage space, but mainly because seasonal quilts-like your snowflake quilt- can span over several months. I’d love to make a wall hanging of it in blues/whites/silver! I’m looking up the pattern now, and put it on my to-do list. Thanks for sharing! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I just started the snowflake quilt yesterday. I'm using Tula Pink fabric with a hot pink background and the snowflake will be a fairy print from her line. It will just be 2 colors, and I can't wait until it's finished. All your quilts are beautiful.
I just started making quilts my first (thanks to your charm quilt tutorial) i felt was a disaster but the long arm lady said it was beautiful. I have 2 rag quilts made also so much stress for someone with ocd as soon as I finish one I say im not wuilting again then i find my self planning the next. Your quilts are gorgeous! Im learning with quilting they are perfectly imperfect just like any craft and that is where I will sit.
I have a Christmas quilt Make list too!! The MSQC and CCS patterns are on it. Another CCS pattern I want to make is Evergreen 😅 I am making 3 xmas quilts now... one is the Snowflake quit, another is Christmas Tree Mix by My Sew Quilty Life, and the 3rd WIP is The Wreath Quilt by Krista Moser. Next on my list to make that I have the fabric for is the poinsettia millefiori. I love Christmas/Holiday themed quilts.
Hey Fallon, check out the Christmas at home pattern by Lavender Lime. I made it this year and really like it. I also got the cluck cluck sew log cabin tree, it's next.
I really like your quilts The red and white one is precious! I received the set of cherrywood ornaments and love them. I think I will use glitter glue on them or just leave them as is. I really love the bare look.
I made an "Evergreen" quilt from Fabric Cafe - loved using different greens for the trees. Next up, a Christmas "Plaidish" quilt from Kitchen Table Quilting.
I'm currently working on the winter night quilt pattern by bayhill studios In the Twas fabrics like how that pattern is shown! It's definitely not going to be finished in time for Christmas but I'm okay with that
Hi Fallon, love your quilts. I had amassed pdfs and printed them out. Have discarded the paper ones and just keep the pdfs on my iPad. I actually used to make table/bed runners in autumn colours, and use them at Christmas. Though of course it’s stinking hot here at Christmas time…the let it snow vibe wouldn’t work here. Love all you do. Wishing you and Matthew and family a very merry and blessed Christmas. ❤️🇦🇺
HOLIDAY QUILTS tend to become heirloom quilts for a person or family... They get taken care of better because they only come out for the holidays so they tend to last longer... I have been using less novelty prints and more tone on tone in Christmas colors because they work well as kids mature. I save the novelty prints for my large napping quilts that are about 60 x 60.
I really liked the last pattern you showed, but it was too far away for me to really see. I think it was squares that had the corners snowflaked . Please be sure to show it when you finish yours and I'll try to do the same. I agree with Diana Barker who says she'll have to live to be 150 to use up all her fabric. Wish us luck.
I know I will have to live until I am 150 years old to make every quilt I want make 😆. Love the snow flake quilt.
That’s honestly how I feel too!
Yes! And to put a dent in all the fabrics I have! LOL! ❤️
Loved the peppermint quilt with that amazing village background! Also the Christmas tree, thank you
Thank you!
There all beautiful. Than you for sharing.

Thank you! 😊
Wow, can't believe that stack of quilts. You always make such beautiful quilts with some GREAT ideas.
Thank you so much!
Loved your village on the backside of your quilt, and your daughter’s snowflake quilt. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️🙂
You are so welcome!

Joy to the world for our KING! Precious quilts ❤
Thank you for your lovely comment! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the video and appreciate the joy that quilts can bring.
Love the peppermint quilt.
I love the Christmas quilts you made...💗 Thank you for sharing. ❄⛄🎄🎅🏼🤶🎄⛄❄
Beautiful quilts, love the snow flake I think I'd like to make it in blues, but I love trees to. I saw a santa jacket quilt I thought was adorable maybe next year, it's on Pinterest
I love all of them, Fallon! They are so unique! TY for sharing with us!
Your joy quilt just made it's way to my want to make list!!! I also want to make a snowflake quilt. Either the one you showed or one that's was free on Pat Sloans channel a few years ago 😅.
Too many quilts! Too little time. 😊
All quilts are beautiful
Thank you!
I love the jelly snowflake quilt from fat quarter shop. I’m making 3 for Christmas presents this year ❤🎄
I just fell in love with the star spangled quilt, but done in Xmas prints. Reds on one side and greens on the other. I'm going to make one for each of my kids.

Great tip for the red christmas quilts! Happy sewing!
I too love Christmas quilts, (who am I kidding I love them all)! Can't wait to see which
one of the five patterns you pick to start. Happy Quilting!
All your quilts are beautiful 😻
Thank you! 😊
The quilts you have made are great!
Thank you!
I still want the square up things but Christmas has wiped me out😢@@sewbeitquilts

Oh my goodness, now I am so tempted to look up all of these patterns and the LAST thing I need is to add more quilts to my list!

Every year I say I’m going to make it! I really just need to! It’s such a fun quilt design!
Me too! One of the local quilt shop has a blue and white quilt with this pattern. Gorgeous!
I really enjoyed seeing your Christmas quilts. You are so talented and I love your attitude about jumping in! I'm brand spanking new, so maybe I would try that wreath quilt. Looks like maybe squares and HSTs? Either way, Merry early Christmas! :)
My favorite is the starlight mints quilt. ❤️
LOoking forward to the friendship star wreath! Simple and graphic. Beautiful.
I dont like black on a chtistmas quilt, but the peppermint is my fave! Just love it!
Thank you!
I don't have any Christmas quilts yet 😮 I do have that Snowflake pattern though! Someday!
That’s what I keep saying too! Hopefully I will get to it because I know it will be a fun one!
Enjoyed your quilts. I also made o Christmas tree. Still have more in my mind to do too. Merry Christmas!
I first saw the Scandi line on your channel and bought some fabric. Loved those placemats you made a few years ago!
Oh thank you! That is my favorite table set to put out!
I love all the quilts

I've made 4 Christmas quilts but gave them all away. I guess I need to make one for myself🎄.
Yes on SO MANY PATTERNS! I used to knit socks. I have over 700 socks patterns (most are PDFs) and I won’t admit how many mittens patterns. The paper quilt patterns still fit in a single file drawer so I consider myself good. For now.

Cluck cluck Sew’s log cabin Christmas tree quilt is my favorite and on my list to make.
I love log cabin quilts so much so this one is perfect for me!

I love the first snowflake quilt you showed us, the one for your daughter. Where could I find that pattern?
You can get the pattern on Etsy. I am not sure if it’s available other places. www.etsy.com/listing/802497732/falling-snow-digital-pdf-quilt-pattern

Is it possible to get your peppermint candy pattern?? Loved it
Yes it’s linked in the description of this video.

What's the name of the quilt behind you? That is a really cool quilt.
It’s a free pattern that I got on fat quarters shops website. It’s called Dart.
