If I could have one voice narrate everything I hear and see for the rest of my life, it would be Colm Wilkinson’s voice. The power his voice conveys is immense. I understand it isn’t the normal opera voice that is traditionally harmonic in nature. But my God, his voice is the best when conveying complex dark emoitions
Here they are in order: 1.Colm Wilkinson 2. Brad Little 3. Dave Willetts 4. Alexander Lewis 5. Marcus Lovett 6. Gary Mauer 7. Hugh Panaro 8. Howard McGillin 9. John-Owen Jones 10.Peter Polycarpou 11. Johnathan Romouth 12. Mike Sterling 13. Anthony Warlow
I love Dave Willetts’ introduction, that guitar is so dark and perfect for setting the mood! Aside from Hugh, who will forever be my 2nd Phantom, it sounded like Dave learned from (and sang similar to) the Phantom himself, Mr. Crawford
Wow, I was really impressed with Gary Mauer's first part, but I prefer JOJ's version overall XD The version he did in the matinee with Gina Beck was better.
I had no idea there were so many phantoms, but where was ramin karimloo and michal Crawford also norm Lewis is missing. They are all amazing but ramin will forever be my favorite.
I think they might be in the part 1 video. The comparison is in two parts. Well, except for Norm Lewis. This was uploaded before his run as The Phantom
which he was there, I like his voice, after all he didn't take vocal lessons and there for he'a quite a natural at singing, many of these phantoms exagerate the bit before "you will curse" not that I hate them but Ramin and Gerry are my favourites & Thomas Borchert who has been the Phantom in Germany a few years ago
+MrOpera53 gotcha thanks Norm is in my top 3 with his interpretation of the phantom being more childish and did a fantastic job at bringing that aspect out

i wish i could watch all performances, their expressions and how they portray the Phantom is a big part for me too. Love this thanks :)

Oh man I love this version. He sounds so angry.
Why is no one in this comment section talking about how funny Peter P's crying was? Am I the one that thought it sounded like... Ahem...
Omg yes it does!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I freaking like Mike sterling he growled my God I was like wow
Howard is the best!
Who was Polycarpou's Raoul? Impressive tenor.
Right??
So sad Chris Mann wasn't on here, his is probably my fav! But still i enjoyed the video! :)
Is the Raoul in Dave Willett's reprise Michael Ball? He sounds familiar...
Yep. It is.
Michael Crawford, Ramin Karimloo and AnthonyWarlow are very good like Erik (Phantom), but for me Colm Wilkinson is the best forever!!!
Dave Willets...
Uh I did not hear Colm Wilkinson. It skipped over him.
could you do a you alone can make my song take flight
I really enjoy Brad Little's rendition, but i will agree that Gary Mauer is my favorite
Two words: Anthony Warlow
This is the correct answer forever and always. How anybody can even say anybody else astounds me!
Oh god why is there a part two..
McGillin was so villainy it was awesome.
Wow, I was really impressed with Gary Mauer's first part, but I prefer JOJ's version overall XD The version he did in the matinee with Gina Beck was better.

Gary Mauer!!!
Wheres Norm Lewis his deep baritone voice added more color to this piece
+Warren McFadden This was uploaded way before he sang the role.
+MrOpera53 gotcha thanks Norm is in my top 3 with his interpretation of the phantom being more childish and did a fantastic job at bringing that aspect out
Gary Mauer!
1. It's fine. Not all that extraordinary. Late climax.
2. Deeper voice is good. Not that different.
Hugh Panaro's flat
