His deep analysis of those other comedians speaks in volumes of how serious he takes his craft as a comedian and not just somebody running up on stage talking shit because their homies told them they were silly as hell. No that is a man who has studied and honed his skills to the very last molecule. And it shows why he is in the position he is now. Makes me want to go hear his comedy again and study it deeply.

He has more tours that are record breaking than any recent comedians of this time. world tours I may add in stadiums not small venues and comedy clubs. Every movie he appears in is now box office smash hits. And he has his crew doing shows. He has the laugh out loud RUclips channel he is about to make into a network. And he still has the TV show on BET. to ask what he is contributing I have to ask who is contributing more??? dude is currently the undisputed king of comedy right now.
TooRealForTV he has become really good at creating content that is easily understood the world over. Noticed I used the word content. He uses the word as well. Great comedians never produce content. Chapelle did not produce content. It appears to be content on the surface but it's isn't. You're right he does all these projects. But he is a funny content creator.I would like to challenge him to create and market content without using social media (and the celebrity of a large following) and serve food to promote a movie. Have you ever seen Denzel or Sean Connery doing that?

you cant deny the power of the internet though. however what i mean is the message of positivity sells well these days. and comedians are never known for positivity. they all come from a deep dark place. and the internet should capture your authentic experiences. if you're angry you're angry. im always wary when someone presents 90% positive messages. Katt williams has and is doing well. But he is so authentic to himself that he doesnt adapt his personality to the internet generation. My opinion is KH presents a contrived positive image to build and maximise social media. That's why you can see other comedians beefing with him (whatever that is). 1999 was different from 2016. The impact of technology has changed peoples behaviour and perception.

I don't know George carlin was a pretty good stand up comedian. Also Louis C.K. but I would say dave chappelle is alot more appealing to fans.
Man I love richard and eddie, but Dave is unreal. Richard Pryor had Pryors Place and it was amazing, but Chapelle's Show is unmatched. They've been trying to make another one every since. Stand up wise, I don't think or see anyone who is as quit witted with shock as Dave; George Carlin, Louis CK, Tommy Davidson, DeeRay, Corey Holcomb are all good at it but Dave takes it to a whole other level. He is still sought after even 13 years after he left. He's King until someone else shows up.
