I have several Linksys devices and always had excellent results. So, while on my back porch when weather permits, little weak WiFi thru CenturyLink modem/router device. I downloaded current app (2024 - now 4 years old) I found info to connect easy manually or with app. Using the app allows to register, name each node (Child as they call it) with mother connected into Modem/Router, type SSID and Password plus turn on allow guest. (Son & grandchildren can’t breath unless online) I have older IOS iPhone and works well. App is the best, mother plugged into main ISP router/modem then with all in same room, press button 5 times in 5 seconds for connect mode, once solid light, repeat or each to follow. I placed one in kitchen and one downstairs in family room. Mesh is the latest technology and I bought used and clean like new. Cord but no quick start book, but app is best. Have a lucky one with this nice video!
I always appreciate it when people share information but when will they realize that ANY KIND OF MUSIC during a demonstration is simply distracting and unnecessary. Especially this music. WTF?
You cannot imagine that the Linksys router DO NOT use CABLE method to SCAN through the network to add node. Pay attention that it use wireless to add node. It means that when the new node is in 4/F , but the host is in 1/F. Even though there is a network cable between host and new node. The new node still cannot be added to the MESH. The new node must be moved to 1/F near the host. After added, you can put the new node into 4/F. Bad design. !!!
This whole system is crap, nodes don't stay connected even if you never move them from their original position. Save your money and buy anything better.
I have a rather large house and with plaster walls and it works for me. I have 9 of these nodes. One is about 60 feet from the main node outside next to my. These need to be at least 20 feet from each other or it doesn’t stay stable. The 2nd furthest node is about 40 feet away and through 3 walls and a floor. I get 71mbps down and just shy of 9mbps up there. I recommend adding the closest nodes first and the furthest nodes last because they connect to each other.
Works well for me too but struggles when I have the kids and their devices. Only thing is newer nodes are wifi 6 should I make one of them a parent and will keeping them as child nodes somehow nerf the speed?
I bought my Velop AC2200 back in 2018. Its been flawless ever since. Guess I got lucky. Currently getting 500-600Mbps from ATT for about 8 months now. Think I've rebooted the system about 5 times to troubleshoot and it was never the routers. Ive had them in wireless paired up until 8 months ago when i switched to ATT.
Get rid of your overly loud kissing cousins banjo music, the levels set are clashing directly with the speech making it a garbled mess, "thumbs down" on that, hope you use this feedback to improve your output, for me I am not going to watch / listennor learn successfully with that cacophony.
Would be great if the app let me login to add my nodes but it tells me my router is not connected to the internet but the one node that is connected to it is giving me wifi. Plus other devices in my home are connected to it e.g my Alexa's etc
Do not buy a Linksys mesh router they are pathetic. The 2nd node would consistently disconnect. And replacement under warranty would take around 45 days compared to their tat of 9 working days.
Get completely rid of the totally irritating background music

Same as many others have said......ditch the annoying music during a tutorial where people are trying to concentrate 😎👍
The music is distracting - get rid off it please. If I want music I choose to hear it....
The app is atrocious. It doesn't detect my router so I can't add a node. What a nightmare.
i have the same problem. Tbh this app is useless and doesn't respond well at all

People are stupid

So how far away should my nodes be?

Doesn't work no matter what I do. This video is completely unhelpful and has irritating music

My pieces of 💩 will not reconnect
@@kashfilmz1634did you find out ?

Yep, it's pure crap.
Crap
Would never recommend these devices, appalling pile of junk, the set up procedures are insane.
Worst mesh system ever. nodes just dont work most of the time. The range on velops are really bad.
Crap
