People who beat him first try are literally magic users, people that find the boss fight hard are melee users I just realized, this boss fight is literally meant for magic users, just they got more advantages than melee users. More openings, he’s slow, and they can damage him immediately, while melee users are forced to go up to him, and he uses cheap moves like what the fuck.

Simple guide for any boss: Pick dex, lol. This game was only tested for dex builds it seems. Str builds are like: Wait until any boss stops ninja flipping like a coward fairy for 2 minutes -> get an opening finally -> miss -> boss starts its next attack 0.1 seconds after its "opening" -> boss hits you because you're still recovering from the long ass animation -> waste all of your stamina rolling -> not enough stamina once the next opening happens -> keep waiting -> decide to trade hits and pull extremely risky moves out of frustration -> manage to hit the boss finally -> rinse and repeat. Also, the fact that after smashing Godfrey's damn face with MAXED, POWERSTANCED COLOSSAL SWORDS WITH 90 STR I NEVER got to stagger him, not even stunned him for half a second but you can do it with a super fast, light, anime weapon is the most insulting thing ever. You also procced bleed on top of all the advantages. 90% of your hits here are impossible with a str build. Wish I was exaggerating.
Strength is fucking terrible in this game. I have been using the claymore, and it is even slower in certain ways compared to ultra great swords. The recovery times are ridiculous giving no time to roll. FromSoft seems to keep screwing over strength users, and it genuinely makes me no longer want to play their games.
@@Flatgod The worst thing is that this was already an issue in Dark Souls 3 that they addressed in the second to final patch of said game when they finally reduced the recovery times for all greathammers. We'll have to wait a year until they fix this I guess. I can proudly say I beat the whole game in very hard mode, tho. Very Hard mode: Dual Wielding Colossal Greatswords (the slowest of all colossal weapons)
In his second phase he moves like hes physically disabled like 99% of all bosses in elden ring. So f ing unnatural. Sorry but my brain is better at reacting to logical and realistic moves and not bosses doing weird yoga poses as attacks. So dumb

This fight turns from elden ring to the good old tekken😅
His second phase is like fighting Jinpachi Mishima from Tekken Bloodline- ALL OVER AGAIN! I just can't deal with secon phase, and I'm level 163 with nearly 2000hp. 2 shots me after I stagger- every time
W video. Now to do exactly what you did😂🥶
You got this!
This guy is beating me up in NG+3 My ash help is weak black knife tiche and mimic tear ashes both at max 10 I don't know if u can heal your ash health but I do wanna beat the game for NG+4
Watching a Godfrey Boss Guide to beat the Omen boss from ds3 mod 👍🏻
This helped me memorize his second faze better. Thank you.
you made this look so easy
Whaou... afraid of getting there ahaha. Great video! What are your stats?
Dude your just good, I need a method or a trick 🤣
Bro I can no hit the entire thing but the mini mode he does at 60-70% hp. Since I can’t feel the rhythm that makes the fight beatable
I have no clue why his second phase is rocking me
Same. I can go hitless in his first phase. It's mainly the grabs for me that are fucking me up.
* came back to say, I finally beat him. Dude was pretty tough but super fun to fight.
@@SweatedPear Yeah it was pretty good. The grabs were scary as hell. Some of them you can just run away from. I ended up just doing hit and run lol
@Toyoda car no shame in that haha. I used bloodhound step with keen nagakiba and hand of melenia which gave me hella reach
Good vid man
Unfortunately had to pull out my summon been doing a dual katana build and I literally can him one time before he does a 5 hit combo chain. And I'm not really doing a bleed build, I just use them as my weapon so I was able to grind a bit of dps on him with my attacks, but with how little damage I did and how aggressive he is I'd have to dodge probably 80 times to kill him with no summon lmao
Help. In my game, Godfrey First Elden Lord has a full bar of health. Then Hoarah Loux has a full bar of health too? 2 Full health bars in total.
I noticed in all videos Hoarah Loux starts with half life with theirs.
Is there an update I missed?
That sounds like a bug, Hoarah Loux is definitely supposed to have half health. Try updating ur game?
People who beat him first try are literally magic users, people that find the boss fight hard are melee users I just realized, this boss fight is literally meant for magic users, just they got more advantages than melee users. More openings, he’s slow, and they can damage him immediately, while melee users are forced to go up to him, and he uses cheap moves like what the fuck.
@@xboxworstgamer4 you're getting mad at people for using a feature in the game that was meant to be used? I'm a greatsword user every playthrough (20+) and I could care less what others use. Its not affecting you at all
@@AscendingBlazed nah man, I’m just blending with the comments
I give up with this second phase, I'm just going to summon, he rarely do the move that gets you an opening
F this guy, I’ve been stuck on him for a day now. First phase = easy peasy. But once he gets to hoarah loux my god. I’ll get a couple of hits in but he does so much damn damage if I make one small mistake
Hoarah loux comes and I just get like destroyed, like I can get a hit or 2 off but then I just get railed
came here to say i killed this guy in about 30 secs and 0 hit his 2nd phase, this is my first playthrough! rivers of blood still OP
i was intending to defeat him on my own, but just for a try i summoned mimic and defeated him without him reaching 3rd phase, lowkey feel guilty
1st phase is no problem 2nd phase… oh boy is it frustrating.
Godfrey changes to second Faze when he's at half health how come my Godfrey changes when I delete his whole health bar
His golden shade was much harder lol.. its probably because i summoned nepheli which ended up making me beat him in 1 try
The first phase is easy but the second stage is just random and crazy
Fighting him now and i am struggling. Once he transforms im dead and even getting him to half health is taxing
First phase is very easy. Had to die twice to figure out his combos.
Im on journey 3 and this guy is impossible to beat he's soooo much more aggressive
He’s ridiculously aggressive to me too and I’m only on my first lol
I can’t get passed to second one but phase two is easy phase one is just straight up bs
I’m on ng and for some reason he is litterally doing double damage to me, I have 60 vigor and I’m getting 1 shot
I have such a hard time with the Shockwave, I just can't get the timing down
Jump them, don't dodge them.
Mimic absolutely wrecks this guy if you're using Bloodhounds Fang.
I cant beat this guy for the life of me man
Simple guide for any boss:
Pick dex, lol.
@@yeahwellthatsjustlikeyouro7466 Yep, DS3 had the same issues, but they keep making the same mistakes in development. I guess they just never learn.
Just get better not difficult
In his second phase he moves like hes physically disabled like 99% of all bosses in elden ring. So f ing unnatural. Sorry but my brain is better at reacting to logical and realistic moves and not bosses doing weird yoga poses as attacks. So dumb
The second phase is impossible as a low vig build.
Sigh walked over mikalai but can't even get past Godfreys first phase. Keeps catching me on the damn timing. Refuses to stomp like at all..
This man been spamming stomp on me for 3 days no other moves😂😂
@@ripyamanz7352 I manages to get him into the second stage and he comes over and DDTs me and I'm like... I'm not even mad... and went to bed.
How are y’all getting past the first phase whaaat
I'm level 130 currently and still get my ass beat. He barely has cool downs as Horah Loux
what sword are you using?
How are you moving your character around 360 degrees when target lock is on?
gonna fucking break my fucking pc why is this the hardest boss yet
i have a serious fucking problem with that health bar
Yours doesn't spam the stomp every breath he takes cuz my does
what samurai are you using?
Level 90 or 100? I was 150 when I reached him. Though I was doing everything throughout the game
i cant out run him in his sec phase he is just fast then me
This mf was stomping the sht out of me. I was using the Zweihander w Lion's Claw and decided to look at my ashes of war to see if I had something that might work better. I had never used Poisonous Mist before but decided to give it a try. I melted him the first attempt after switching to that AOW.
Me with my bloodhound fang cant even attack him because when I do, then I get multiple hits and die, idk what I should do or how I should bet him
kids stay away from the crack!
His second phase WILL NOT let you attack him with a greatsword. So dumb.
Be more aggressive than. You think
Thanks!
