Transfer cases are really easy and simple to work on and fix Zac's got this.
Tye and Zack are some of the greatest additions to the team! I dont know about off camera but they deserve a lot more appreciation on camera for sure! Id love to see them participate in more events as well!

If you have ever been to the FF for one of his events, it's a surreal experience. At the end everyone picks up trash and such and leaves the place spotless. The respect is amazing.

Out of all of the giveaway winners I’ve watched, of all RUclipsrs. This was absolutely the best. Guy was beyond stoked and it showed!
Zach and Tye come in clutch so much for the team. The knocks at badass cages like nothing and Zach coming in clutch with having worked on a few transfer cases in the past and feeling confident in his abilities to fix this one!

Actually looking forward to seeing the process on fixing a transfer case.
They're pretty simple things usually. Imagine wrapping a chain around the driveshaft of a rwd and running a front shaft off that chain. There can be more to it depending on how its actuated and if its full time but even torque split controlled systems are the same idea with effectively a diff locker in the process.
Interesting but not complicated.
It's a 3 step process.
Step one: Remove blown transfercase
Step three: Install new transfercase
Step two:.... SELL A KIDNEY

If the gears are okay, that chain in the transfer case looks like what's called "Silent Chain" in industrial applications. Any good industrial or bearing place should be able to get it for you.

I remember way back in 2000 I was working as a lot guy/detailer for BMW. I also checked in all the new cars so naturally, when the X5s started arriving in the winter being in CO there was snow on the ground so I wanted to try out AWD donuts. I'm sure with the snow/ice it was much easier on the drivetrain, but I can confirm it works Great ! That is probably why the skidpads at BMW performance center in South Carolina and Porsche HQ in Atlanta have Wet skidpads.

Swap in a raptor or limited transfercase. You can switch to awd OR 4wd. I did it to my xlt and it is extremely worth it

The Lariat and higher models have a transfer case that will swap right in.
It has one more mode than they have now AWD. It has 2HI 4HI 4A and 4LO. I have heard the 4A center differential can break with abuse though.

Or just get a beefier one. Rob Dahm's done AWD clutch drops and burnouts with his 4-rotor RX-7, and that transfer case is still in one piece. Sure, his car isn't as heavy as the F150, but it's got more than 50% more power and comparable torque.
